  1. How about we instead of telling the playe rbase to be quiet, we communicate to the playerbase what the plan actually is?
  2. Then what is the intent? Why can we not speculate when not being told anything? There are several player run factions with high quality RP that has been waiting for ages to just get a reply on their official application. Do you not see how this is an unfortunate signal for them?
  3. It is a clear rulebreak that multiple staff have engaged in with these transfers. There is a specific rule covering these transactions, saying it is NOT allowed. If a player wanting to set up a new Crim faction made a new char, they have to earn the money like everyone else because of this rule. We were told these new server sided factions would grow like any other, yet they are not. Server sets a horrible example if you allow staff to break rules setting up artificial factions people already are unhappy with, after being told they would get no special treatment. So are we going to A) Bend the rules for them B) treat them like any other player on the server would be treated. These transfer requests should all be retracted
  4. You're talking about something you clearly know very little about. I recommend you read some of the forum threads and you will see RP reasons for situations. This is an RP server, which means criminal side is as much who you know, what you do, and how you do politics to survive - you know, like irl. It isn't PVP let's go merk the biggest gangs and their allies because we got 10 people and a shotgun to share amongst us
  5. But I mean still... Is the unofficial ones not good enough? Is that the opinion of the staff team then? Because why does the server need server owned criminal factions, when you at any given time got 6-10 player owned factions trying to make it? Is it because you guys don't like the current climate or direction of gangs? Are these supposed to be rooky gangs where people enter to try Crim?
  6. I am actually utterly disgusted by how this server operates now. When did this server decide to say fuck it to all their hard working players and become an admin playground? People work so hard to get official, you have several gangs with good rp waiting for it. Why can they not have it? Just spit on and demotivate all the players who try to organise something and work hours upon hours to make it work. Or is it that they have the wrong alliances in the admins eyes? Very cool to see this epic quality RP by starting with transfering a bunch of assets to the criminal char, so much for organic growth and being an example to the community ey
  7. Hot take Alex. It is a completely backwards argument however. No one here is claiming that it isn't meant to be shown on your back. We're saying it realistically doesn't make sense that you can see a gun, that is supposed to be tucked in your back trousers, if you are wearing long baggy clothing that would cover it. It makes total RP sense to be able to cover a gun with certain clothing. The analogy you use is also such a false equivalent as the smoke from a door would naturally move around the object if blocked, seep elsewhere and still be visible. A handgun wouldn't be visible underneath baggy clothing. The drawback of the gun is already there - being arrested if caught with it and jailed. Stating that police or people looking to rob someone being able to go off a gun clipping through a shirt as drawback is just lazy in my opinion
  8. +1 This is how the gun looks on my back, it is clipping through the clothing, which honestly should be considered a bug. I have been arrested for the gun being seen before. I would accept some RP like stated in OPs post, where we at the very least could RP the cops seeing some kind of outline on the back, and have a chance to escape or react.
  9. Lovely this. Whole lotta IC issue / FM issue. You complain about how some people act towards your gang, yet you join into a gang, into a war your gang started and complain about being attacked. Meanwhile you ruleplay and bait, complain and make petty reports. I suggest taking this through the right channels and reflect a bit first
  10. I have very mixed feeling about this. I understand staff wants more RP in wars and had issues with NLR and how it became shootout, restock and go again. But this is, in my opinion, extremely overbearing and hand-holding. Rules about gangs that do not have handlers not being able to participate. Why? If a group that is not trying to become a gang have IC grievances with a gang and want to see their downfall, why can they not reach out during a war and offer their aid to take them down? To me there is no IC justification for groups to not be able to help on either side of a war if they have actual IC reasons to join in. This is just OOC hampering for no apparent reason. Closed recruitment during war. Why can't people who have IC grievances with a gang seek to join an apposing faction during a war? I understand this is in place to stop artificially buffing numbers during a war to have a better chance. But should this not be opened up a little more? Why not trust official factions to vet a proper IC reason from the people who seek to join during these times? Only one official faction ally in war. This makes absolutely no sense to me from a IC perspective. If a gang has more than one official faction ally, one has to sit it out because of OOC reasons? Only reason I see this being added is to make it harder to have a dominant union on the server. This is literally OOC restriction on factions politics and RP with each other. Kidnapping. There is a lot of possibilities for abuse here. People claiming to not know where people are held and so forth might be impossible to disprove. What constitutes a valuable target? I am questioning how this will work on a goodwill basis, but that will be seen later down the road. Hopefully it will work well. That being said, this is obviously a rule that can be very interesting and change things up when it comes to wars. War killed. This I do have problems with. I understand that it makes wars much higher stakes and more realistic. But if I am to look at it from the point of view of someone that got unlucky and now has to be excluded from everything on their character for up to weeks, it is a massive OOC punishment. I get that this is added to make wars have a more clear way to end, but is this really a necessary addition? In my opinion it is way too harsh, and I wouldn't want anyone from any enemy gang to have to be excluded from all RP like that for days to weeks. It adds a system of targeting higher ups and shutting down a gang like that, which is a cool concept, but as a game we're here to enjoy, it is extremely harsh and punishing. If you want to exclude bad actors from a war because they abuse NLR, or meta, or anything else, you can just do so on a case-by-case basis. Not to mention you have to pay to change colours, new clothing. It'll effectively make the average official faction criminal character unplayable until the war is over, all their friends and assets are tied up in gang related things. Do you really want people to have to quit playing for a period because of a war? It's way too extreme. Resolution. Honestly, why not just let this be worked out IC? Why must this be sorted out by faction management? If a gang starts losing, it'll be evident in the fact that they'll lose members, they won't be able to move around freely and the colours will be dropped. To me there is not a reason why we need faction management to preside over whether or not a war has ended. Say a leader has been kidnapped for over a day, and the faction has a second in command that has taken the reigns, and got 30 people out trying to find the location of the captive leader. It would be absolutely insane to end a war over this, if the members are still fighting? All of these resolution possibilities seem to be such cop outs to end wars quickly. If you struggle getting the HQ back and your group IC relocates to regroup and plan an attack to regain it, you could still lose the war by OOC reasons? In my opinion all of this is IC stuff that doesn't need OOC regulation from a win outcome checklist. Everyone knows a war is lost when either sides members are not to be found any more, and surely faction management would see this and seen this in the past? Penalties. Why does there have to be added in penalties for losing? You already lost all your members, bunch of weapons. To take a super expensive HQ away from the person who owns it makes no sense to me. If they lose a war, they will not be able to use a HQ anyway, as it would be hit immediately upon recognizing the reuse by a gang. Allies. Why can't allies switch sides? Again, why must OOC reasons dictate over possible IC scenarios that could occur? Summary. To summarize. I think there is a bunch of issues here. Huge OOC punishments for those who get "WKed", assets being seized, peoples ability to play will be ruined for possibly weeks because of these changes. There are both rules that are made for realism, and there are rules made for gamification and for restriction present. It is strange. It seems like the staff team wants to handhold and govern official gangs in how they operate wars. I thought official gangs had shown the ability to be trusted and to have high quality RP? so why is all this needed? If the case is that some factions don't, or that some members don't - then punish individually! Some of these changes are way too extreme and restrictive. Note that this is just my opinion, and I have nothing against anyone that like these changes or those who made them.
  11. Congrats MC. I am shedding a tear in your honour
  12. The Familia knows well that you have to cherish the quiet times, as they are few and far between. One evening they decided to take out their much loved Pantos for a family race night. There was a lot of cheating, a lot of accidents and a lot of "not in my eyes" It was a fun break from all of the violence of recent, and reminded them to not only fight for each other, but to also laugh with each other.
  13. Love the updates. Keep going MC
  14. LSMC is the best fully legal MC. We always enjoy visiting the club, thanks for always giving us a great treatment. Official asap please Please ignore miss Riley's contorted back, she has a severe spine condition
  15. I agree with a lot of this. Gangs are super powerful. Fair enough, but PD cannot or won't challenge it. If you have such powerful gangs in a city, the police should at least make it more difficult for them. There are some things I can't understand; Known criminal gangs and leaders own businesses? Would never fly in a realistic setting. When houses was released, people camped the furniture shop but PD wouldn't station a unit there, probably because it wasn't fun enough. Same with known legal robbery sites like the foundry or butcher. Seldom units stationed there, but you'll see 8 cops in a car chase for an expired speeding ticket. I'll say this, it isn't all cops of course. I've encountered cops who would stay and wait to make sure legal workers can be safe, but not often enough imo. I respect it's almost impossible to balance robbery rates with legal jobs, but it would be so nice if it would be a viable rp route for people who doesn't want to just do GTA online gameplay with gangs. But you can't really legislate for petty criminals who try to rob low value targets. I think a lot would be done if PD prioritized a bit different. Most proper gangs don't fuck with legal workers, and the only way I can imagine stopping the small timers is better PD presence around the job sites, as it makes sense RP that cops would react to those crime levels. Anyway, I appreciate the staff team's efforts and realize it isn't easy to balance it all.
  16. "I DONT LIVE HERE, I LIVE IN POLSKA"
  17. So my character lives in a high rise apartment complex close to LSC. All the apartments are situated in the inner courtyard, not facing any streets. The building has a resident parking garage situated under it and the entrance to this is on the left side of the property (See image under. Garage entrance marked as the red square, apartments are within the circle). However, none of the apartments are able to use this as a parking area due to it just being out of range of the apartments parking vicinity. I'm guessing the apartments to the far right would be able to park in the far right alley leading down to the neighbors, but the only way I (and those who live in the middle) can park cars, is to either try to drive down a set of stairs and park on the lawn (pretty NRP and only works with small cars), or get tight to the wall in the alleyway underneath and hope it is in range (The apartment complex is way higher up than the building below, since its built on a hill). Neither is very ideal. Is this something admins could fix or would the devs have to do it? I'm assuming that parking range is a fixed value, not something assigned to every building and easily updated. So I do understand if it isn't something very doable. It would make much more RPly sense for residents of the building to be able to park in the building's garage, rather than having to drive down stairs and park on the lawn, or gamble on hitting the sweet spot in the back alley of your neighbor. Thank you!
  18. This bug has been around for so long. Would be nice to have it fixed +1
  19. TEDx Los Santos Welcome to the most insightful event of Los Santos as of yet! A evening dedicated to the businessmen, gang leaders, faction leaders, first responders, and everyday people to share their stories to the people of Los Santos. An opportunity to hear the events, ups & downs and adventures of those who have experienced it all! What did they do to get where they are now? Tips and tricks in their trade? Just a great story about their life and/or career? There are lots of opportunities here! The host (admin or whomever is hosting) could take applications for talks and vet them so that they are at least somewhat interesting and make sure they have mics that would be clear enough for people to hear properly. Get a venue that could room enough people, or just host it outdoors somewhere appropriate (a park maybe?). Maybe make it a NCZ for obvious reasons... Have a host to announce the speaker and give a short introduction. Speaker holds a monologue about their topic, also a possibility to raise awareness about different businesses in Los Santos. Basically just a TEDx talk IC set in Los Santos. I think this could be a really interesting event for the server! It could both be hilarious, insightful and a great learning experience for new and seasoned RPers. What do you guys think?
