    Changed under 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP):

    • OLD: Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.
    • NEW: Baiting Government Services - Provoking a reaction from faction services without a realistic reason / or calling faction services to e.g. rob them.

    • CLARIFICATION: Included calling mechanic / taxi / medic etc. services to bait unrealistically or for the sole purpose of robbing them. It got too excessive and ruined game-play experience for taxi drivers and mechanics alike.

    Clarification on Powergaming (Carrying Players)

    • Carrying bodies / injured players without writing /me's and /do's is no longer considered as powergaming due to the recent server update which imposed timers onto /carrybody, /storebody, /dropbody. The previous clarification written on the 10/JUN/2019 announcement which said that it was powergaming, has been removed. We are applying the same principle as looting injured / dead players through the server script, they are too injured to resist.

If you feel like someone has meta-gamed (used ID) to find who you are - Report it.

This is what you need to do if you feel that somebody has metagamed your name. Anyone can be reported and potentially punished for rule violations, everyone has to follow the same rules.

However, as Dawpi says above, like anyone else on this server, if you meet someone at some point on this server, you can set an alias for them. This will allow you to identify by this alias in the future. That feature is not restricted from Police Officers, they are too allowed to make use of it.

I hope we cleared that up for you.

Play it by timezon or not, there are far too many PD online during peak server time.

Last Sunday there was 48 PD online alone, not including SD.

Criminals face a recruitment cap on their gangs of 60 members, there should be a set limit for all Factions not only criminals.

It creates another unrequired cap and bias against criminals on the server.

That's a bit taken out of context. We only had 48 members online because we have several scheduled things on Sundays. It's the day when people come online from all timezones to attend their IC meetings, you didn't have 48 members patrolling in the city.

    • Supervisor Meeting
    • Command Meeting
    • SWAT Training
    • Investigations Meeting

This has been the case for several months now.

Recruitment for EU in PD is closed at the moment but we will continue to recruit for NA and OC as we lack members in those times. PD is expected to provide the server with 24/7 service to all players, PD is not expected to just focus on a single situation, they are meant to be able to take care of multiple situations at once.

  5. Hello, thank you for your suggestion.

All of our staff are volunteers and all the time they contribute to this community is purely voluntarily, we appreciate what they do every day. Depending on the volume of punishment appeals, and the nature of them, it may take longer in some cases to receive a response than usual. As for technical issues etcetera, we've got a fully staffed Support Staff team to assist you with that - and the easiest and quickest way to get assistance regarding technical issues is through #i_have_a_question on discord. As for player reports, they are done on regular basis by Senior Support and above.

I will not comment on your ban on this suggestion, if you are still an active user and wish to appeal this, you may attempt to do so.

  6. Hello, thank you for your suggestion.

We have since the creation of this suggestion strengthened our conflict of interest policy and situations involving persons whom staff members may have a conflict of interest with should be handled by another staff member, unless of course it's an emergency and/or there are no other staff members available at the time, or that they're a senior member of the Staff Team (Administrators). This has and will not be an issue, but you can always reach out to a member of Senior Staff if you have concerns about a Staff Member and a potential conflict of interest.

Changed under 13. Fear Roleplay (FRP):

    • OLD: Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.
    • NEW: Driving a vehicle into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover for a friend or yourself, or fleeing with it.

    • CLARIFICATION: Following a staff team meeting, we recognized that the wording of the old line made it seem like you could circle back into an active shootout and ram players in that shootout using "the intent of protecting a friend". This now means that you cannot drive into an active shootout more than once with the intent to ram players in that shootout, unless it's unavoidable when you are trying to flee from the active shootout.

Added under 15. Player Theft, Prison Breakout, and Kidnapping

    • Players can give consent to other players to be kidnapped outside of the stipulations above if the roleplay makes sense, but they should in such cases avoid involving law enforcement in any way due to the consented roleplay.

    • CLARIFICATION: There has been times when two or more players have been involved in a roleplay where one party has wanted to kidnap the other party, but being unable to do so because they hadn't met the stipulations to do so. We are now allowing players to consent to being kidnapped, however, due to the consented roleplay, we ask that all players involved tries their best not to involve law enforcement.

(No longer valid since new rules update).

  8. Thank you for your suggestion.

We do not believe that the current timer needs to be changed, it's part of the whole mentality of fearing over your assets - Use your vehicles wisely, and leave them in wise spots or utilize scripted parking lots to despawn them while not in use.

  9. I believe this can be closed after OP was given more information about the topic which he suggested.

  10. It has already been explained in the past why jail times are like they are, we even lowered jail times for individual crimes. The connection between drug labs and jail times is irrelevant, because majority of players that go to jail isn't in direct result of a drug lab. There has to be consequences. for constant action role-play, our previous jail times did not have sufficient consequences.

Role-play in prison is nothing that we can force through a script, players are always going to have to be the main source when it comes to role-play and it's up to them to carry on their role-play into prison, when it's their role-play that lands them inside those walls in the first place. There are plans to make drug labs and chop shops more portable and relevant to official factions, it will come in due time, but that is not going to be some magic wand that fixes everything.

The mentality of criminals will have to adapt that they cannot go around like it's The Dark Knight Rises, it's the unfortunate reality of things. If you have a gun on you, and you're being approached by an officer, it's your choice if you want to surrender, accept that you will most likely to go jail for 25 or 60 minutes (depending on the gun), with the possibility of reduced time (which is a reward officers can give for good RP) - If you don't surrender, shoot your way up, evade, commit all these crimes in result of that one gun, it's on you.

Community leadership does not believe in the previous jail sentences, our vision for the immersion we seek would not work hand to hand with 2 hour jail sentences.

Yes you don't see crips rolling around in military vehicles, but you could argue that mafias and cartels in foreign countries would have access to those types of vehicles. I'm not saying we allow every criminal to use those vehicles. I think $100,000 for a one time use vehicle seems pretty fair.

And have you seen how the police deals with those cartels? E.g. Mexico.

If you want that, by your logic, we should also gear up the police department to deal with that properly. I assume that's something we don't want to see, so let's not have criminals driving around in imported insurgents and PHANTOM WEDGES.

Aside from the vehicles and AP Pistol, I agree to the suggestion. TEC-9 is already a custom import for official gangs.

  12. I can support /pw being changed to only have 1 of each weapon and for the ammunition in them to save, so if you use ammunition up and store it back, it wouldn't let you take out more ammunition of out thin air.

I do not support what Rubsmeister suggested as physically storing a weapon in the vehicle inventory means that it can also be stolen, which we've already said is not going to be an option on several suggestions.

  13. Hello, thank you for your suggestion.

This has been suggested in the past, and we are not open to making this an option anytime soon (if ever). This is the same reason why you cannot e.g. step into a gun store and purchase a shotgun and carbine rifle (which in real life, you can practically get your hands on everything legally if you aren't a felon), the current environment on the server is absolutely not ready for this, and something like this would be abused to people's advantages. Police Officers should not be targets for robberies, that makes no role-play sense, and this would exactly make them constant targets for robberies as you can get your hands on free weapons over and over again.

Please do not open this suggestion again.

  14. Hello, thank you for your suggestion.

We discussed this our last senior staff meeting and we've decided to keep it as it is right now. The two reasons why were decided to hide the archive is because

    1) Account names, we no longer want players to have to publicly announce their account names given recent events. Admins in /amembers can now request for an alias, which is separate from their account name.
    2) It removes the ability for Senior Staff to efficiently handle punishment appeals (which we have a lot of) case by case basis. A lot of players tend to use other appeals as an example why their appeal should be accepted, despite the situations having different circumstances, and it just creates another efficiency barrier. We have no interest in explaining in 6/10 appeals why they're not receiving the same outcome as X did, we want players to focus on their situation and not anybody else's.

Player Reports are still public, reports against staff members goes into the player reports archive and there are no transparency issues. A player's punishment appeal is between that player, the staff member and Senior Staff.
