I think you’re wrong no one here wants to kill cops and ask for badge numbers what u on about , if ur a crim and kill a cop and get arrested u keep ur mouth shut ICLY , you chose to shoot at cops.. idk why u either respond with trolls or smth that makes no sense here.. it so rare that someone decides to shoot cops (for the high xp crims) and complains when arrested., it’s usually when you’re chilling doing nothing and come get provoked or dealt with unreasonably that people complain, when if the roles were reversed it’d be non rp., if I was allowed to RP a “cop killer” who hates cops and kidnap / kill any cop who caused me trouble ICLY without a DM/ nonrp report I wouldn’t have any issues personally , however that’s not the case, also even big ambushes setup to help people escape PD had reports made from PD’s end when PD would get killed, later on when PD’s win rate slightly went below 100% for those ambushes because gangs started helping each other, FM OOCly stepped in saying gangs can’t help each other ? so now is it an IC issue or ooc Issue ?

That only contributes more to the fact that it’s not entirely an “IC issue” since there’s OOC rules/regulations in place that you have to follow that make you unable to completely treat it as an IC issue. If the whole “city of LS” decides to riot / revolt / create chaos and violence against the government and take matters into their hands ICLY that’ll result in reports. but if you talk about it OOC it’s an ic issue. despite many FM regulations (regarding alliances , frequencies, 30 member cap) all being IC stuff yet oocly enforced.

No you get reported for DM / Non-RP / Cop baiting

just to be clear none of my comments stem from any attachments towards any assets whatsoever, I personally have been to DOC only 50-60 times with an account as old as mine, I don’t care about being arrested and I don’t get arrested often and when I do , I compared it to a random house alarm trigger (not that even rob houses); the game needs PD to function, my comments also don’t stem from that single person and my comments about them but rather used that person as an example to how some LEOs differ from other in terms of bending backwards to win a situation sometimes in an unfair way, as a most recent report has shown when 2 guys (that I don’t know) got shot at by and at the order of that person for 1. Climbing a ladder after a chase 2. Trying to get on a drag, however a report was made and the he LEOs received a poor RP punishment so it was indeed dealt with, my aim was for those situations to be minimized in frequency to where there’s no need for a report to be made

Anyways this discussion seems to be very counter productive and I don’t have it in me to sit here and debate every single person who’ll get defensive towards the opinions which I should’ve not even voiced. I hope nobody was offended by my words and LEAs are a huge part of the server and provide a lot for the community, I don’t think it’s bad or malicious to hope that there’s more internal cracking down (aside from IA reports from civs and crims) which could maybe be IC or something from FM the same way they’re so everywhere when it comes to the gangs and their IC stuff. It’s not just in eclipse, in life nobody likes losing, and everybody wants to win. But here’s how wanting to win and the “P2W” I mention are different.. for example, LEO chasing somebody, the use their brain and come up with tactics (which happens often with setups , spikes , etc) and end up winning the situation, bringing the criminal down fair and square. another example is a LEO chasing someone, that person let’s say is attempting to get on a drag after a bike setup, and a long chase, and this LEO decides oh this guy might get away let me just take my gun out and shoot him so my win is guaranteed regardless of what that reflects. also no bro he owes me nothing., in fact there’s been people in PD who are much more bothersome ICLY but are cool, funny people with simply that kind of character, but when you have somebody who talks exactly the same way on their crim and on their PD character it’s bound to raise suspicion as to are u roleplaying 2 characters or just OOCly having the same kind of (mostly action packed gameplay) but from 2 different angles.

That person was was used as an example, I did state many people in PD are good but said certain radical people have a contagious extreme P2W energy, which affects newer people.

I love how LEOs mob up on anyone who simply attempts to criticize them (for the sake of PD, and the server) why do u guys get so defensive it’s nothing personal (aside from me using one bad apple as an example) which is still not personal just happened to be an example given my most recent altercation happened to be with him

I’m not making slanderous comments I stated my experience , opinion, as part of a discussion, you for example is someone I’ve had positive experiences with (while I’m at loss; it’s just RP) because you are roleplaying as a law enforcement agent. Not picking up ur crim character over to PD. And at no point did I complain about being arrested / being caught / or suffering IC losses as they’re part of the game. So far right now I’ve got one situation I’ll be filing an IA report for and currently have a law suit for (as you’d see in my faction’s discord I’m on LOA) the amount of times I did not file an IA report over something are countless and the last time I did an IA report I waited 2,3 weeks and nothing was really done, there’s always some loophole. It becomes easier and more convenient to simply avoid any interaction with LEOs whether innocent or guilty , doing crime or just chilling , and when I do get forced into an interaction, get it going as fast as possible to get to doc and do my time asap, because if I was to not do that I’d just be spending time arguing law / policies / asking for a supervisor / wasting my time / uploading povs / writing paragraphs explaining this and that .. All for a 10% chance there’s a suspension.

That is actually not true, I disclosed it to Dawpi (who was an admin and in IA) and he’s linked both accounts and I continued to be in PD after with HC’s knowledge of both my crim and PD character, that termination only came when I had an altercation with Jace Bianchi who was close to and the 2nd in command for a high ranking admin’s gang (which got official within maybe 1 month) I was IA reported to which I responded adequately then received this termination and cba appealing it / explaining / proving that I indeed have disclosed.. I simply didn’t care as it was clear I was not wanted in the faction maybe for the opinions that I voice.

That person was banned then unbanned and reinstated into PD with their brother still banned.. I will be making an OOC IA report when I am back, also I did play as an a LEO for multiple months , it changed my perspectives in many positive ways , but also many negative ways when witnessing certain things internally, and I wasn’t talking about 2018 as the entire server did change since then, that was my first PD employment, I’ve had more recent ones. it may seem like it’s based on one situation but it isn’t, some people with “play to win mentality” have it contagious; when a cadet or PO I sees higher ranks act a certain way they pick it up, and the good role players within the faction (LEA) get treated unfairly because players tend to expect their behavior to match that of others’ which creates a cycle of mutual reactions… to me being arrested is no different than a random house alarm trigger in terms of a (shit happens, it is what it is) I just think there needs to be a level of cracking down on members with P2W mentality (worse than clap mentality imo) and maybe a higher standard to join and more RP tests [it’s currently mostly verbal] (5000xp is nothing) for a high tier - all powerful faction , when high tier gangs require usually 50,000-75,000 xp which accounts for more learning , more humbling (you take L’s and you learn and adapt and it becomes a natural part of your game) in the end of the day I want every person’s experience on the server to be the best it could possibly be

I agree with you under some cases, but disagree under other cases; I’m not sure if you’ve read - referring to my comment but personally I’ve joined PD as early as 2018 I believe if not before with my badge number being 1XXX , and I’ve been part of multiple official factions since 2019 , also playing between both crim and LEO, and both simultaneously and I think the issue is certain radical and vocal members who manage to play a certain way while making it seem like it’s all by the book and in the process taint PD’s image for the opposing perspectives, and have that attitude spread around the lower / newer members, as someone with my experience I tell you I agree to an extent because there’s times where a crim goes like “how’d they find me, that’s unfair , bla bla” when for example there’s a trace on their phone, or heli above, things like that are what you’re referring to as “what crims don’t see” however all my comments were in reference to a completely different thing and mostly comes from crims who want to win but and not just RP and lose till they eventually decide to play on the opposite side and somewhat seem to have “fueled revenge” villain arcs which can’t be explained IC

I could name drop given you’ve straight up asked me who, but I prefer not to bash someone over here publicly., so I can provide you with POV when I am back from my travels (I wanted to file both an IC and OOC IA report regarding the situation) however I needed to travel on the same day (for 3 weeks) meaning I can not IA report given there’s a 1 week limit ., in the situation I will show you there was 0 attempt to properly conduct the RP, sexual remarks were continuously being made inside mission row, the “investigative RP” was nothing but a pre-set sentence that I was brought in solely to not just have the charges placed directly (given I was masked and got away) to avoid a report and say “yeah we did investigate” I know and respect you Victor, and you are a prime example of the people I’d like to see more of in PD, and I doubt you’ll find the situation nothing but ubsurd however I still doubt anything will be done.. Even the person from JB who was there was actually shocked at how ubsurd the situation was, and how I basically didn’t walk into an investigation but into an inevitable arrest that couldn’t have been done without making it seem like there was an investigation, around the days Cynthia Shelby was there, she left an amazing impression on how investigative RP goes, how lawyers work, and how with only circumstancial evidence the whole purpose of the investigation (which could last longer than the initial sentence) is high quality RP ,. There is currently someone high ranked in PD who was banned for cheating (as PD) jailing people for 7+ hours before the prison cap with the help of hacks for chasing and shooting them, while as a LEO, when you die you technically lose nothing , if you lose someone at a chase you also lose nothing (it’s just that someone gets away with wtv they’ve done) If that is not purely play to win, I’m not sure what is, given this person got themselves banned to win situations with 0 potential loss. we both know who I’m talking about.

Criminals already have ic consequences, when you are “lowkey” and get a legal job a small crime can get you fired I don’t see why it should be any different, and I don’t see why it’s bad to ask for a strong stance and enforcement on rules, your instinct was to instantly jump at “criminals - two way street - etc etc” we are talking about IC stuff, and ICLY the one given more power has more room to act improper with it, when you have infinite free guns, armor, ammo, backup (no faction limit etc) and you have better script support , and the authority to force your RP upon anyone , whatever way you like, as a criminal the max you could do to someone is rob them , or kill then if DM escalation occurred, so I fail to understand how you are comparing the power a LEO has to one of a criminal, specially when it’s so much easier for a player to join PD than to join a high tier gang., My comment was suggestive and my idea was intended to improve fairness, yet I don’t know why you got so defensive instantly defending PD, and going at criminals in a very non constructive non productive manner, I have seen many players go on PD with the same mentality as a criminal (in terms of gameplay not the RP itself); (with just doing the minimal adherence possible to the expected LEO RP , policies, some who are still in PD) and I have seen cops who genuinely enjoy being a law enforcement character and role playing it accordingly., the same way you have criminals who want to just clap and criminals who enjoy the roleplay., no one here is making it a crim vs PD., as we know how one sided and useless that conversation is at this point (I’m here since 2019) The suggestion was an unbiased party making sure everything is dealt with fairly specially when there isn’t many rules in place to prevent certain things (for example there was a time where charging someone as a cop without IDing them irrefutably would be deemed nonrp, now it’s an IC issue) You also mention two way street etc, as a criminal to rob someone you need to adhere to certain OOC rules, despite the robbery being IC, the consequences being IC, the risk and reward being SUBJECTIVE and also IC however those are all things regulated by OOC means. And a main difference is, you as a LEO are expected to have a more strict set of rule set and the discipline to adhere to it, but as a criminal you’re an outlaw doing whatever you want as long as it’s within ooc rules , and you get rewarded and punished accordingly, as for “throwing 2 years of hard work isn’t fair” if someone is in that position as is abusing their powers then they shouldn’t be there in the first place specially if it’s someone with a big “win mentality” and not quality of RP, a non biased entity would accomplish exactly this:- Punishments that are fair and on par with the violation, the more power you have the more responsibility you have. p.s I’m an advocate and enjoyer for Law enforcement RP with a former 1XXX PD badge , just saying it for context in case you think I’m someone without knowledge of LEAs and how they operate internally and externally, so I have probably seen more than you from both criminals and LEAs given my long presence with both through many years.

To many statements made above I’d say in many cases the punishments received are something like a short suspension when irl the LEO would be fired , sued , criminally charged., we currently have no civil court system so if you were to lose x amount of money in items , x hours in jail , x amount in fines, and file an IA report if concluded in your favor most punishments do not come close to the loss suffered, or the frustration so I do believe a separate non biased entity would on the overall serve nothing but a positive outcome towards the fairness and everyone on the server.

+1 has been suggested countless times, no reason to not have the ability to create a group on a phone that is rply advanced enough to open gov websites / life invader / call a cab., a group chat is a simpler less advanced function
