I am not saying it's a bad idea, just that it requires some balancing and thought into it on both IC and OOC side.

License as a physical item isn’t necessarily a simple QoL feature. It would require some balancing imo. But I will forward this thread to the rest of the dev team as it contains a bunch of great and useful ideas.

This isn't actually an intended behavior. I'll try to get that fixed asap.

As a person who developed the helicam script I will address some incorrect assumptions. The usage of the camera and the spotlight requires a copilot, the pilot cannot just enable it and have it lock onto someone. The pilot simply cannot even access the camera, only the copilot can. That makes it a pure sidegrade as the department needs to have 2 people instead of 1 to fly the helicopter. The lock-on system breaks whenever a line of sight between the camera and the tracked vehicle is broken. It doesn't follow through terrain or anything like that. And if someone claims that it does then please send me the evidence of it, so I can try to fix it.

When I was working in the fonts I tried to add support for as many character as the fonts themselves allowed. But It's important to point out that each font supports a different set of characters. I recommend you try to play with the editor and try what each font allows you to type in (it's different for each one.). Also when you're about to spray the font it shows you the name of the font, so you can share the name with others. Btw here are some things certain fonts support: Capitalization - Some fonts are capitals only, many support both cases though. ASCII support - This is again about what specific fonts support. All fonts support at least capital letters. Majority of them also support numbers and lowercase letters. Other than that here are also some special characters which are supported in certain fonts: $ ( ) | ! ? - + * /

[Chat Font size, chat font edit] [2K / 4K resolution]

The new chat addresses this, this thread can be archived now. -
I'm quite sure that this suggestion can be archived now.

This can be archived.

This and also, please make the chat readable in 4K and higher resolutions (either by scaling or by an option to change the size manually). The chat is important on this server and playing in 4K is literally causing eye strain.

[Chat Font size, chat font edit] [2K / 4K resolution]

This is still an issue. The chat is borderline unreadable at 4K and causes eye strain... -
What about letting players choose what button they want to bind the tackle on? That would be even better.

This and the option to issue suspensions should be a part of the MDC. -

It seems unrealistic, almost nonsensical, for players to engage in robberies at police stations, considering the high risk of incarceration. This not only violates common sense but also our server's Fear Roleplay and Public Robbery rules. Under Fear Roleplay, players should exhibit genuine concern for their character’s safety. In real life, the fear of spending a significant part of one's life in prison is a strong deterrent against committing crimes, especially in areas swarming with law enforcement. This aspect seems to be overlooked currently. Additionally, our Public Robbery rule emphasizes realistic motives and risk assessment. The extreme risk associated with committing a crime at a police station should realistically outweigh any potential reward, making such actions unlikely and impractical.

While I understand that reintroducing the sale of human meat might offer a unique angle to roleplay for certain characters, I have some reservations. Currently, many players already exploit downed players for financial gain, often without roleplaying the appropriate emotional reactions such as disgust. Allowing the sale of human meat could further encourage this kind of behavior, potentially leading to a more hostile and less immersive roleplaying environment.

Having roleplayed as a cop on this server for over two years, I've had my fair share of experiences with the current system in place and wanted to share some observations and suggestions. While I understand the intent behind using bodycams, there are some aspects we might want to reconsider to enhance the roleplay experience for everyone involved. Bodycams, in their current state, seem a bit overpowered. Police officers can essentially rewind and review any part of their interactions, gathering whatever evidence they might need against a suspect. This significantly reduces the challenge and engagement of police investigations, making it a mere playback session rather than a dynamic roleplaying experience. The presence of bodycams tends to turn our in-game police officers into "robocops." Given the potential for any misstep to be captured and used against them, officers are more inclined to strictly follow protocols to the letter. While adherence to protocols is essential in reality, in the context of a roleplaying server, this can make interactions with the police feel less organic and more robotic. As a potential solution, we could consider replacing bodycams with dashcams. Dashcams would only capture events happening within the field of view of a police vehicle, making investigations more balanced. Officers would still have some video evidence but not a full record of every interaction, thereby preserving some element of unpredictability and challenge. I've noticed an increasing trend of criminals using bodycams to their advantage. While this could be seen as a smart play, it does detract from the immersion when these players neither admit to having a bodycam upon being searched nor announce their use of one with commands like /me or /do. If we're considering the removal or limitation of bodycams for the police, it might be worth discussing their use among civilians as well. In summary, while bodycams can undoubtedly add to the realism aspect, it's essential to strike a balance to ensure that the roleplay remains engaging, unpredictable, and fun for everyone. I believe reassessing the use of bodycams could be a step in the right direction.

Over a year ago I made a simple altimeter and I then sent it for free to the founders. Unfortunately I never received a response. But maybe they’ll get to it eventually.

Date and time (provide timezone): 2023-03-19T20:41:41+00:00 Character name: Bill Breacher Issue/bug you are reporting: Players can (accidentally) use panics or backups when in the injured state. This leads into punishments from the admin team. Expected behavior: Injured players shouldn't be able to use the panic or backup features if the admin team deems it non-RP. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Get injured -> Press ctrl + e https://streamable.com/3ucqkj

Minigames likes these shouldn't be based on connection latency, that's straight up a bad design decision. I have less than 30 ms ping and I am not aware of any high jitter, yet the minigame fails for me from time to time. https://streamable.com/r0djy8
