Multiple suggestions For Quality of life improvement in ECRP

Recommended Posts

Preface:

To summarise, this is a small collection of ideas I've put together that I believe could drastically increase the quality of roleplay and immersion in ECRP. I'd love to know everyone's thoughts for and against each point. I'll add numbers at the start of each suggestion so you can +1 or -1 relative to each idea. I hope the Devs consider some of these ideas.

1. PD Jurisdictions

To further elaborate on this and to give it some context; When I played NG:RP (san andreas roleplay server) a few years ago, there were seperate jurisdictions of police department depending on where in the city the PD were from.

The way I invision this being implemented in ECRP would be the 'LS Police District' (in the main city) and the 'Outer city Sherrif disctrict' (or something) (in the outer city/North)

This would allow a larger recruitment for the police force, more efficient delegation of unit dispatches to crimes and also it would allow introduction of the white police cruisers for north of the city. These separate branches would also come in useful for some of my other suggestions. I do believe however, this would be really great for everyone, including people being targeted at farms constantly who can't rely on police travelling north constantly to respond.

2. Planes/Pilot Jobs

Allow players to train as a pilot for aviation purposes, as a job you can essentially do shuttle runs from LS Airport to sandy shores and transport players up north for a fee, allowing the diverse use of plane vehicles as well as additional jobs for citizens. (rules would be created with regards to abusing the use of planes for terrorist purposes etc.) It would add a deeper layer of immersion to see planes flying overhead up north and allow diverse new roleplay options for existing players. (potential to expand this with desk staff for flights etc too) Not sure how much this would be used but it'd unlock access to private jets/pilots eventually as well.

3.Banker Jobs/Northern robbable bank

In tandem with the police jurisdiction, I suggest we open up a bank in the north which is robbable, it provides VERY good money for criminals, the caveat being new police departments up north can heavily monitor the area. Criminals can take high risk jobs of holding up bank staff who provide salary and have other bank tasks to do and police and criminals can roleplay negotiations for hostage situations. Criminals currently lack resources for large income with HIGH risk and I feel this would fit that niché well.

4. Attach Forum accounts to In-game accounts

Similar to how fines work for the PD where it says [You have fines on your account] when you log in, if you could get it to notify you of any reports against you [You have 1 reports against your character] on the forums, it would allow people to be easier notified and not receive punishment without the ability to justify the circumstances because they missed out on the post.

5. Estate Agency Job

Create a government faction which can sell property to players in an office, take clients to view a property for purchasing. Deeper roleplay involved in house purchases would allow a more diverse range of interaction rather than just 'E' and then buy on a property. This would also allow people with a lot of properties to list their stuff with the agency for a small fee for selling.

6. Casino + centerfold jobs

On one of the highways theres a huge casino that could be utilised as a great cash sink for people with too much disposable income. Have slots terminals with larger stake options for high risk/reward. Integrate roulette and blackjack with a centerfold who is paid to host the tables as a citizen job, again allowing for much more RP than happens in Tequila-la, also allowing more people to work here. This would also be a great place for a NCZ.

I hope you guys approve of the ideas in my brain and maybe could assist in fleshing these out or pointing out flaws which may arise from their implementation.

Thanks!

Tommy.

1. There already are jurisdictions but your idea is definitely something that I'd like to see. +1

2. +1 on this.

3. +1 on this.

4. +1 on this.

5. -1 on this. Multiple people already run businesses like this. You can see them in the marketplace on the forums.

6. +1 on this.

1) Yeah why not +1, its odd seeing city police cars out in the middle of no where.

2) Definitely +1, It will work as an extra money sink for richer people and the ability to get from south to north within a minute should be good. But definitely something needs doing to avoid people just going kamikaze into people.

3) Without a doubt +1111. I understand why banks are a NCZ but the fact you can't do a bank job is just wrong, I'm not sure why stores are the only thing you can rob.

4) Definitely +1111. People should get some kind of email notification or something AT the least. Personally I just lurk on the forums once every few days so if someone reported me for whatever reason, I would be completely clueless.

5) I've never bought a house so I can't really comment.

6) Hell yeah, To bring people together and roleplay in a nice relaxed fun casino, like poker but even better? I mean why not! Get me on the slots and roulette asap.

I'm not necessarily against this idea, but the lack of quality role-play (from what I've personally viewed from different areas) puts this suggestion on the fence for me. Why spread the player base further afield with role play when there is already a bit of a struggle to find RP in the city.

Coming from a long-time SA-MP player this has been a feature that some would have liked to see, but with the low age of the player base meant that there was a low maturity among said players. I think fleshing out already established jobs should be the main focus.

I think this one kinda leads back to my first point, why spread the player base out future afield in attempt to create more role-play when there is already a lack of role-play in the developed areas?

Is this really necessary? If you feel like you've been unfairly punished and you have the evidence to back that up, would it make a difference if you respond to the report against you with the evidence or you throw up the punishment appeal with the evidence?

I don't think this needs to be a government run faction, but the idea of being able to see houses on the market at one centralised area is something I can definitely support.

Somewhat in a different direction to your suggestion, but a government setup sub-forum where people can put up business requests (building request + license for the business) would be something I would like to see. I'm not sure how something like this would be setup with the current server dynamics (a server reset would probably work best, but nobody would probably be on board with this), but it definitely something that needs to be considered.

I like the idea of different jurisdictions for police force (though maybe that already exists to an extent). My original character idea was for a Blaine County Sheriff, but I've kind of shifted over the past day my focus. But I always appreciated how the map of San Andreas has two legal jurisdictions: the city of Los Santos and the surrounding areas being part of the unincorporated Blaine County. I like any RP stuff (either content or mechanics) that play with that, as it makes San Andreas feel like a real state rather than just a city.
