The WHYOS are a post civil war gang (1870's). They resided in New York City and indulged in all kinds of crimes ranging from pick pocketing to assassinations. Although the WHYOS were predominantly Irish not all that were involved were, The WHYOS saw a huge boom in their financial situation and overall control of the city. When Don Driscoll and Don Lyons took over, they helped move the crew into more serious business. Soon the WHYOS started getting involved in extortion prostitution and murder for hire services. Not only did this help the financial aspect of the WHYOS, but it also helped the street credit that they had. They became untouchable. No gang would dare try to cross them. They slowly started engulfing smaller gangs and started to slowly take over the borough of Manhattan. They soon ran into some issues. As their number kept growing so did they ego.

Don Driscoll, the leader at the time, fell in love with Bridget Garrity. She was a prostitute that was being pimped out by John Mcarthy, the biggest pimp in the city with a lot of power as well. This caused a rivalry between the two and constant feuds. After several attempts to end each other's life. It got to a point where Driscoll was consumed with anger and impatience that he could not wait any longer seeing this man alive. He decided he was going to end this himself once and for all. He made his way to the saloon where McCarthy was at, and point his gun at him. One of the bodyguards pushed Driscoll causing him to miss his first shot, he then managed to fire a shot at the bodyguard. In a split second McCarthy managed to make a run from his seat, when Driscoll emptied his revolver into McCarthy's back. Little did he know that one of the bullets he fired managed to hit the woman he was in love with. She hid behind the tables when she heard the shooting which happened to be right in back of McCarthy.  Once he approached McCarthy and confirmed he was dead, he heard someone gurgling behind the table. He leaps over to see Bridget lying on the floor, the bullet had hit her throat. Driscoll couldn't believe his eyes, he screamed in agony holding Bridget in his arms until she gave her last breath. Confused with the horrors he had just committed Driscoll fled the scene, but was shortly apprehended by the police. Don Driscoll had sealed his own fate. He was to be executed by hanging for the 3 murders that he committed. The murders of McCarthy, Bridget, and the bodyguard

A couple months later the now sole leader of the WHYOS, The other leader Don Lyons, was arrested for murdering someone leaving the WHYOS with no official leader. This marked the true decline of the once infamous WHYOS. They continued operating after but not on the same scale. They were constantly being checked by other crews who were now bigger than them, The Monk Eastman and the 5 Point Gang. Slowly but surely WHYOS started to lose control of their turf to the other gangs until WHYOS was no more. The remaining members scattered around, some fled the state, some fled the country, the ones caught were executed by other gangs.

Some speculate that the WHYOS disbanded and all of the members that were tied to the gang had died off. That is false, the WHYOS never disbanded. They regrouped and started to operate under different names around the world. No one was brave enough to bear the name again.

Touchy Fo's grandpa, a former member of WHYOS, moved to Liberty City to regroup with his other fellow members. He tried to get the WHYOS to come back into existence several times but every time he tried none of the original members wanted to get involved again. After years of trying, Touchy's grandpa got sick and his days were numbered. While on his death bed he grabbed Touchy's hand and gripped it as tight as he could and said "I'm sorry I couldn't leave you anything to inherit. You know I never had anything worth giving in life besides WHYOS. That's why I want you to start the WHYOS again for me." Not knowing what to say, Touchy nodded as he watched his grandpa's blinks start to last longer. He watched until his eyes didn't open and his grip loosened and fell to his side. Touchy knew he couldn't let his grandfather down, so he got to work.

We have a high standard when it comes to recruiting people. We believe there is no room for second place and we strive to pick the selective few that stand out to us and seem like they can benefit our crew with their work and their loyalty.  After contacting us about recruitment you will be given a location where you will have to go and you will be asked a series of questions depending on the answers you will be sent home or you will become a pre prospect. Becoming a pre prospect means you are undercover with us and no one should know about you except us. This allows us to see if you have potential to help our crew grow into what we aspire it to become.

We don't have a exp minimum to be considered but all applicant will have to complete a ooc test that will be sent to them.

Post civil war gang that resided in New York

I do like factions based on real world factions. You picked an interesting one id say.

I got a good laugh off this, apparently found in the pocket of one of the real life WHYOS back in the day

Aside from committing many crimes, the Whyos also offered specific criminal services for a price. The following list was found on Piker Ryan when he was arrested by the NYPD in 1884.

  • Punching $1
  • Both eyes blacked $3
  • Nose and jaw broke $7
  • Jacked out (knocked out with a Blackjack) $15
  • Ear chewed off $15
  • Leg or arm broke $19
  • Shot in the leg $20
  • Stab $22.00
  • "Doing the big job" (murder) $100 and up

Tunnel Vision

It was a normal day with nothing out of the ordinary occurring, or at least that is what we thought. Touchy Fo woke up and started to mine to get some of his personal money up. This was a daily routine for him as he was saving up for paragon. He was accompanied by two of his good friends John and Timothy. All of a sudden, they ran into the mine sweating and out of breath because the rv they had been using was now missing. In complete shock Touchy asked "was it locked?" and was in awe when he found out that it was. Running out of options and time, they decided to check the GPS to see where it was on the map; nothing was seen. Knowing it couldn't have gone far, they decided to check all the places that one would take a RV. They checked the foundry, they checked the oil field, and they checked the mine again as they felt lost and defeated. They decided the best thing to do would be to just sit by the GPS and wait until it was located. To their avail, it soon showed up in a very strange place. The WHYOS boys were skeptical at first. "Could it be a ambush?" "What if it is a trap?" But ultimately they decided to do it anyways because one of the member's had been affected by this. When they got there they were beyond confused. They saw a line of luxurious cars and the RV was lined up besides them. They quickly assumed they were all stolen and held the one man at the scene at gunpoint. Getting no response from the suspect, the crew started to get agitated and began to count down before opening fire. As fingers on the trigger gripped tighter and the crew started to fantasize on how the body was gonna fall to the ground. POOF. With the blink of the eye, the suspect disappeared. The crew looked at each other baffled as to what just happened. They have only heard stories about people like Houdini. Could it be? Could they have ran into the great Houdini or someone of similar caliber? The crew left the scene before police or possible witnesses would arrive. Still confused as to what had just happened, Touchy all of a sudden gets a phone call.

Good luck!

By the way, is there any particular reason why the gang uses pink? Since the real life Whyos don’t even have a color.

Like you said the real life Whyos didn't exactly have a color or a specific uniform. So i thought of all the colors that were available and would keep us out of trouble and pink was the best option because LA had just disbanded a few days prior to our resurrection.

The Light At The End Of A Very Long Tunnel

Day and night the Whyos boys work their hardest doing whatever they can to get their treasury up. Whenever they are getting ready to give up they hear the voices of the fallen Whyos members  pleading with them to not make their deaths be rendered useless. The Whyos members would instantly continue working but everyone needs a break. So after a long day of working Touchy Fo called for a brief meeting for the remaining members that were still in town and they took some BOMB photos.

The Inevitable

The day started of great for the Whyos boys. They really started to feel how much they have grown. The recruitment team was overwhelmed with interested people. Everyone was in high spirits and  were celebrating at the bank. This soon changed for the worst. A officer pulled out a taser and demanded that Touchy Fo get on his knees. Everyone watched as Touchy Fo got dragged into the back of a cruiser and watched as he disappeared down the road. Touchy knew what he had done and knew that he was gonna be in prison for a very long time. After being sent to prison,Touchy Fo felt defeated and lost. He wondered "What would the crew do?" "How would they make money?"He spent most of his time resting with no real goals his dream was destroyed.

At least he pulled some strings and got some good food.

The Awakening

Something snapped in him. He felt motivated and started planning for the crew. It was time to change some things in the crew. Before getting arrested things started to get overwhelming as the number of members skyrocketed. He realized that things had to change rank wise in order to maintain a proper system. For hours at a time he would sit alone and work on his plan. Finally the plan was done and he was counting his days before being able to tell his crew about the new system. THE FUTURE WAS BRIGHTER THAN EVER.

The Time

Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and months turned to years. Touchy Fo slowly lost track of time and started to believe that he was meant to spend the rest of his life behind bars. One day while in his bunk he heard "Prisoner 312""Prisoner 312" "TOUCHY FO GET UP NOW" shocked to hear his name he quickly went to check what was happening. There they were holding his personal belongings telling him that it was his time to leave. The day had finally come. The day where Touchy Fo would be a free man and this time he had no intention of changing that.

The Arrival

The boys had no idea that Touchy was getting out. Knowing that, Touchy decided to surprise them. Remembering their radio frequency touchy adjusted his newly bought radio to the channel and said "check" the radio was silent for the next ten seconds. This was followed by "Touchy?" "Who Is That?" "Does someone have our frequency" after the quick catch up on the radio everyone that was awake in the city at the time decided to drop what they were doing and escort Touchy out of prison.

Great story! Love the forum updates, but I think the IG roleplay could be a bit better, or the standard could be raised a little bit..

Definitely something we strive to do on a daily basis. It’s a work in progress but we are learning on the way and those who do not listen do not get the privilege of staying with us.

Introducing Myself

kbnG9S6.png

The name is JuanPablo. I am Colombian American. born and raised in Miami. Back home brought nothing but bad news, growing up poor had me living out on the streets my whole life. The civilian life that my parents tried teaching me was never going to be for me. So I decided to make Los Santos my new home in search of purpose.

Upon my arrival to Los Santos I found out quick that finding help was difficult. Everyone had their own hustle going for themselves that they did not want to share. I learned that the hustle had to be real if I wanted to make money. I became a miner and dedicated my time into mining ores.

The instance I met my first connection to the Whyos was when I got my crate stolen and a nice man wearing pink decided to help stop the person. We went on a chase and ended up pulling the man who had stolen my crate order. He gave demand to the man to release the crate and the man was too scared and would not listen. What happened next was shocking to me, it instantly made me fear for my life but I had to keep my cool in order to keep it cool with the generous man. He had put a bullet in between the thief's eyes.  The mans attitude was impressive, he just committed murder and it seemed to have no effect on him. I didn't know if he would turn on me next but instead he offered me work and told me that there was a brotherhood that was looking for more muscle. I immediately knew that I wanted to be like him, tough and respected. I immediately agreed and said that I needed work I would gladly attempt to join.

Then I met the rest of the crew. They all seemed eager to grow their operations, and I really seemed to side with the Leader Touchy Fo's ideologies. I finally seemed to have been finding my purpose and a family.

Following weeks consisted on being trained by Rio, he took it upon himself to be my mentor. Anywhere he would go I would be there. He was rough with me at times, but I later learned that it was all to teach me. I finally made it as a prospect and quickly made it to the next rank as Thug. I would be riding as Rio's right hand man with a 0.50 ready to fill up anyone with holes who crosses the line with my new family.

Rqfn5lm.png

Now I lead my life by example of my higher ups. A soldier in the streets for my family the Whyos. Fuck with us and meet a kiss from my 0.50.
