MysteryD
Anyone else notice that the traffic lights illuminate in the wrong order? Instead of cycling through green, yellow, red, and back to green -- the lights go from green, to yellow, to red, to yellow, to green, repeats. Becomes hard to roleplay when you're getting a yellow light after a red light.
childofkorn
That is correct .... traffic lights are suppose to change from red back to Amber before green and visa versa. Amber is the get ready to go/stop light.
Pegasus_
It's a bug in the game, it happens in GTA Online as well, so I don't know what the devs can do to fix it, if anything.
Yputi
Don't think this can be fixed. It's just something of the map itself afaik and the lights just work on timers. I believe there were never really meant to work properly, just for the idea. However, in some places this is what traffic lights do, but you will also find some lights in GTA that go from red to green instant and vise versa. So I think orange after red is a thing some people experience irl and others not, depending on where you live. TreMetal
In Los Angeles they do not go from Red to yellow to green, the go Red to Green to Yellow to Red (starting point). I agree the lights are funky, but our penal code only says you need to yieled at traffic signals, so just treat them as a stop sign if anything but green and it's okay. Pegasus_
Sure, but yielding according to the ECPR LS penal code https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qMm9u2Tl59RBpNyNSA88G7WYPFwiOgzXqL-1cWgAHEc/edit#gid=836612286, yielding is only counted as slowing down at the intersection to check if it's clear, not to stop completely. I think that's dumb, but that's what it says. I'm not saying that it isn't annoying, because it very much is. But I don't think there's anything the devs can do, since it's a part of the game, and the penal code has probably been structured thereafter. Osvaldon
@MysteryD this is how Rockstar designed GTA and we are unable to change the light order. I would recommend treating this as an intentional feature.
