San Andreas Department of Corrections

Recommended Posts

Occasionally the DOC becomes overcrowded with inmates leading to the risk of riots, hostage situations and any other situation that can cause risk to life. In this specific situation we were split into teams of two, one person experienced and one with less experience to ensure we would remain safe at all times. Our Assistant Warden, Reina, decided that we would pull the cellblock on lockdown to prevent any situations that could turn ugly.

Attempted Prison Break & Hostage Situation

The shift was going as normal for Solomon, he just clocked on duty and reported to the medical bay with Assistant Warden Reina Moraine to treat an injured inmate when suddenly he heard on the radio "CODE 1, AIRLOCK, NOW". Solomon and Reina, knowing protocol, both rushed from the medical bay to the airlock (The injured inmate was stable) and drew their firearms upon seeing the officer that called the Code 1 being assaulted by several inmates in the airlock. All but the one that was currently being processed left immediately, Solomon went to cuff and search the 10-15 that was left with Reina covering his back as per protocol. Somehow amidst the confusion, that particular 10-15 (Hugo Barr) had a broken bottle on his person unbeknownst to any of the officers, he went for a grab of Solomon's kevlar in an attempt to take a hostage. With quick thinking upon seeing the weapon drawn, Solomon made the in-the-moment choice to try and drop to the floor so Reina could open fire to incapacitate the threat...Unfortunately the Hugo had quicker reflexes and managed to take a firm hold of Solomon before he could do this, and had the broken bottle to Solomon's throat before any reaction could be taken.

This was the beginning of the hostage situation.

Hugo demanded Solomon unlock the airlock door to the cell block and lock the one to the corridor where the other officers were (The key-card was deactivated shortly after). This allowed 2 other inmates who seemed to be conspiring with Hugo to enter the airlock and added to their numbers, in the mean time Hugo began to make demands whilst Reina utilized her hostage negotiation training to attempt to get Solomon safe. There was a lot of back and forth between the two, talks of getting $300,000 transferred to their bank accounts and vehicles for an escape, all in the meanwhile LSPD, CERT and CIC had been preparing an ambush on the hostage takers.

GxnPqyc.png

D4PTJXD.png

Through utilizing the maze-like interior of Bolingbroke Penitentiary, SWAT and CERT had moved to the corridor adjacent to the cell block. Their advantage was short-lived unfortunately due to the numbers in the cell block, all it took was a single inmate to get a brief glance at them for the initial operation to be compromised and a second plan had to be constructed.

Plan B was to get bags of fake money and load up vehicles at the intake road and prepare for an ambush. With snipers set up long-distance and officers located near the vehicles they had every avenue covered in an attempt to get Solomon out alive. During the negotiations in the airlock things got a bit heated between the hostage takers and Reina, to the point where one of the hostage takers lit a cigarette and stubbed it into the corner of Solomon's eye with the threat that the next one will be directly in his eye. Solomon, heavily distressed, proceeded to wire transfer $50,000 to the main hostage taker Hugo Barr in an attempt to get him to order the other inmates out of the airlock who were clearly impeding the negotiations for both sides. This was successful and the negotiations proceeded and Hugo had agreed to walk Solomon out of the airlock with the other inmates to the vehicles with "cash" in them. With Solomon's .50 sidearm pointed at Solomon's head, Hugo proceeded through the interior of the prison to the intake road.

t8KOVaA.png

Once outside, there were several officers waiting their arrival but due to the sidearm to Solomon's head they obviously did not take action as that would have put their colleague's life in danger. Hugo ordered Solomon to get into the drivers seat of the front-most cruiser and instructed him to start driving forward. Solomon drove slowly forward past Reina towards a group of LSPD who were waiting for the ambush. In the span of a second, the main hostage taker Hugo Barr was shot dead by a sniper once there was a clear shot and the rear vehicles with the other inmates in were fired upon by DOC officers. Solomon had made it out of the situation safe.

The surviving inmates were detained once again and treated for wounds with attempted prison break added to their sentences.

Following the situation and many thanks given to LSPD from DOC for their assistance, the team had a quick rundown of the situation and recognition was given to the officers that contributed.

R7Vwqb6.png

It was a long and stressful day for Solomon, he was ready to go off shift when he caught Reina alone and was about to ask her information on some of the details of the situation he was not clear on but she just hugged him tightly and had a small break down to vent. Solomon had not really seen her like this before. He thanked her many times and assured her that if it wasn't for her actions he wouldn't have made it out of the situation alive.

This situation was followed by a meeting with an LSPD Deputy Chief Bacon and Commander Xoza Shadow, which was cut short by another Code 1 situation and a transport...but that's a story for another day.
Solomon finally clocked off duty and went home to tend to his minor wounds and have a well earned cigarette break.

Jorge Lewis from nothing to slightly more

Shortly after his arrival in the City, Jorge realised he had nowhere to go, no friends or family. However, he soon met a friend who would still be friends with him to this day, Owen White. Jorge was shy and didn't know what to do with his life until Owen joined the SADOC. Owen explained to Jorge how beneficial his career in SADOC is. After some debating with himself, Jorge finally decided to take the leap, joining SADOC.

After filling in his application and sending it off to the Human Resources team, his application was soon accepted. He moved onto the next recruitment stages and eventually made it to his PT

unknown_3.png

Jorge passed his PT with flying colours and showed off his strength to the HR member, Faye Voyce. During the PT Jorge had to display that he was fit enough to work at the DOC, he vigorously climbed the obstacles and got to the other side as quickly as he could.

new-min.png?width=836&height=469

After arriving at the DOC for his academy part one, Jorge met a lot of new people who would remain his friends to this day. In the academy Jorge was shown about the prison and taught some procedures he would later be tested on. However, since the Academy only 3 people in the picture remain.

GTA5_2020-08-15_17-38-21.png?width=834&h

After passing his Academy part one quiz, Jorge became a trainee within the DOC. He liked the job very much and was on duty constantly. Within his first month of working in the DOC he had processed 126 10-15's. Jorge wanted to show off his skills to eventually become a member of the Correctional Emergency Response Team. He had always dreamed of joining CERT but it would take a long time for him to do.

GTA5_2020-08-16_03-22-32.png?width=834&h

Jorge and Owen did everything together from processing inmates, patrols together and watching each others backs. They would be seen constantly together, making jokes and doing their job. Jorge and Owen had a brother like relationship and let nothing harm either of them, what one didn't see the other was already ready for it.

GTA5_2020-09-01_18-24-09.png?width=834&h

Jorge began to become targeted by certain people. On his way from leaving the DOC grounds, he was ambushed by a large gang. They had no mercy, they took everything he had and left him hairless and beaten on the side of the road.

GTA5_2020-09-01_18-42-45.png?width=834&h

Jorge was embarrassed and didn't want any of his colleagues to know what happened to him, he asked the medic, Charles, to not inform anybody of the situation. After this moment, Jorge realised that he was on his own, he couldn't trust anybody, only himself.

GTA5_2020-08-30_13-15-34.png?width=834&h

However, when Jorge thought his life couldn't get any worse, Owen resigned. Jorge didn't know what to do, Owen was the reason why he joined and the only thing that kept him motivated to keep going on the job. Not only had Jorge lost a friend, but a brother. They spent countless hours together and Jorge thought nothing could ruin their brother like relationship. Jorge realised that if he wanted to peruse his dream of joining C.E.R.T he would have to let somethings go.

GTA5_2020-08-22_00-16-01.png?width=834&hyes_man.png?width=836&height=469

After many hours dedicated to the DOC along with the vast amount of training, Jorge felt he was finally ready to join the CERT team. He was approached by the Captain of CERT, Seth Cincaid and was told to put in an application even though he was under the rank requirement. This was an exciting moment for Jorge as he knew that he impressed the Captain. After being given the opportunity to join C.E.R.T Jorge decided to stay with the DOC regardless of Owen resigning.

GTA5_2020-10-22_19-23-52.png?width=834&h

Once again, Jorge was targeted by a mentally deraigned man. He was brought to the top of a mountain at gunpoint, zip tied and his knees were both broken by the man. Jorge remained calm during the situation, teasing the man who had kidnapped him and getting in his head to prevent any more injuries. As Jorge was in the back seat zip tied, he managed to send Owen, now an SD deputy a text alerting him of the situation and the location. PD/SD soon arrived on scene, it was over and Jorge was alive.

GTA5_2020-10-22_19-58-52.png?width=834&h

He had suffered two fractured knee caps, herniated cervical spinal disk and a collapsed lung. However, he didn't show much emotion, he remained calm and demonstrated that nobody could harm him mentally.

GTA5_2020-10-22_20-26-58.png?width=834&h

After intense surgery preformed by Charles, he eventually had the ability to walk again. After many days sitting in a wheelchair, he was finally able to walk with the support of crutches. He didn't really feel much about the situation, the only thing he was sad about was the fact he couldn't work. Soon after he was placed on medical leave.

GTA5_2020-10-25_00-31-57.png?width=834&h

After his recovery process, he was able to work again. He was thrilled knowing that he would no longer be pestered about him having to sit at front desk. on one of his first day backs, a code 1 was called. An exciting moment for Jorge as he knew he could impress everybody. During the situation, he fired a total of 59 M4 5.56 rounds into one of the cars with one of the targets inside, injuring him instantly.

(Look above for entire story)GTA5_2020-10-25_01-23-49.png?width=834&h

Jorge was now a fully fledged CERT member, he had completed his goal and now aspires to become a Senior Operator.

(Continued 06/01/2020)

After Jorge's arrival back into the city the CERT team was quickly disbanded, everything he had worked for and achieved was taken off of him. However there was a replacement for CERT, CIC and MSO. Jorge quickly took a liking to both MSO and CIC and attempted to join both. Himself and Owen later became the joint heads of MSO, but what did this mean? The next few weeks were tough due to him being constantly hunted down by gangs and certain individuals after that learnt about his position in MSO (Maximum Security Operations)

Stranger_7038_5581-1609943012832.png
During the next few weeks the DOC was under constant attacks, code 1's every day; people rushing the front lobby with AK's, kidnappings, etc. Thus alert status Red was initiated. Status Red was put in place to tighten security measures to prevent more situations from
happening, however it didn't stop situations from happening outside of our wire.

From the ground up

Yuki has grown up and came a long way in the DOC. She joined DOC to learn more about herself and the people around her. During her start at the DOC she made a lot of new friends and fell in love with Solomon Cobb. Yuki always found Solomon fun, adding more joy and laughter in her life! She had to grow up fast soon after they fell in love because they were blessed with two beautiful children.

KrQezGh.jpg

On top of being a new mom, Yuki has taken on a lot of responsibility in the DOC. She has become a Sergeant and taken the lead of a division, CMT. This a huge achievement for her, taking the lead of a division she had passion for. She works hard updating and improving the treatment that can be given to the inmates and officers. Also, she has built an incredible team that works with inmates, both medically and physically. One thing she knows is that it’s never a dull day in the DOC.

U52retP.jpeg

However, being a part of the medical division means a lot more responsibility and taking blame for what happens. Olie Scott is an individual who Yuki thought could be good for the DOC, she knew with a little support and motivation he could be a great DOC guard. Yet, his mental state and ways of thinking did not feel the same way. Yuki felt she had missed something, and failed in her attempts to lead CMT

KbNVaex.jpg

DOC shaped Yuki's mind in many ways, sometimes pushing her. Like Lucy Donovan for example. This HVT hits hard for Yuki. Lucy is her weakness and her fear. There is no one else in the city of Los Santos who plays with her mind. This red-headed woman has changed Yuki, made her stronger, yet weak. Yuki continues to feel tormented by this woman and can feel somewhat helpless at times.

HR has been a lot of work too. Being a manager in HR and have the DOC recruitment open a lot more means many new faces and a lot of training. Sometimes the training can be easy, but with a recent recruitment drive, Yuki has learnt what hard work really is. Kourtney and Maddison Parrish. They had a shaky start in the DOC, learning a lot about the use of phones and how the DOC works. They really pushed themselves and make Yuki proud with the amount of work they put into the psych side of CMT. And although they are a handful, Yuki has started to see them as good friends and great colleagues.

4cslH3i.jpeg

Even with all hard times and difficult situations, the DOC is her job. She has to keep pushing and working hard. No amount of pain or stress will take away the love she has for her job. She will keep working hard in HR and pushing CMT to its limits.

Unused Pictures from the Public Relations Division

With a power cut across the state on Halloween, some of the prison's facilities were affected but luckily our backup generator kept the major security features running just enough to prevent any attempted inmates taking advantage of the storm.

The commissioner was making a public announcement at the pier, so naturally some of SADOC High Command made it over there to hear his words. The public were as rowdy as always but it's still good to show a public presence at events like these.

Bonus game: See if you can spot Solomon Cobb, Warden Ren Sanchez, Reina Moraine and ex-deputy warden Herbert Butler amidst the crowd. No prize if you spot all 4

Cellblock Operations

In an attempt to retain our position as the #1 Penitentiary in the state of San Andreas (Yes we're the only one...what's your point?) we have decided to task our officers with more cellblock activities for inmates in the recent weeks. Some things include:
 - Mandatory yard time because the inmates might as well be World of Warcraft players the amount of time they spend in dark rooms alone.
 - Mandatory exercise time so they do better at running from cops so we don't have them back here
 - Dedicated times for lunch and dinner
 - Mandatory shower time as the inmates get very
stinky.

Below are some photographs of our most recent venture into land of the inmates when we decided to hold a Inmate vs Officer basketball game. Naturally that never actually happened and resulted in a large amount of sh*t-talking and banter between the 2 groups but it was fun nonetheless and better than riots!

ZBu0pYq.jpeg

LKDxYI3.png

After the yard time, the inmates were hot and sweaty so it was time for showers, some were a bit too prideful to get changed in front of people so most either went in their tighty whiteys or stayed clothed for this segment of cellblock activities.

'Twas the night before Christmas,
and here in my cell,
I think to myself,
"This place isn't quite Hell."

The prison's no longer in lockdown
at the warden's insistence,
There is people to talk to,
and there'll be no resistance.

Each inmate is allowed out
of their cell for the night.
With turkey, and sleigh bells,
And warm candlelight.

Hot chocolate they drink,
of which we have excess,
cosied around the TV,
watching the Polar Express.

It's not often they're calm,
and not a lynch mob,
But anything is possible,
with
Commander Solomon Cobb

Times Changing
nbSWDHu.png

As the winter looms over the Department of Corrections, a new interior was being built, you can check out the new cell block below in our small rehabilitation session with the inmates:

2bkklTc.jpg

The Detention and Parole Bureau of LSSD are already making use of our new facilities to get more inmates out of the prison and back into the world with fancy ankle bracelets:

CI50xss.jpg

We have many new uniform changes, my personal favourite being the casual wear for command members which retains a tactical advantage whilst looking rather stylish: (though those trousers really ride up)

But all the changes at Bolingbroke recently doesn't change the relationship we have with our regulars!

Kourtney’s DOC Tourbook

Like I’ve been like working at like the DOC for like a little while now and like I like know everything about so I’ve written like a super cool tourbook to help everyone!!!

I’m like super duper smart so you can have some of my super duper smartness too!

Medic Stuff

wGSTh7KOyCsB-xcbvKBGsoqSHGVwvLCj9hJR4CDE_YzMUOzIrYRdaRXHrOd7TR4pA9xKafQicUAE5nBaLzDT-a468kOhTBBEu9LXqvDRSq7jJP5D6lLNLWTKkNpD_9gjaBSq2out

Like a big part of what I do is like medical stuff. A lot of occifers and inmates like to like hurt themselves so I have to treat. I like to pretend I know everything about like medical stuff but I usually just google it. Even mid surgery!

Like I also do medical training a lot and like to remind all of like the occifers that blood has like got to stay in the body!

On an average day the DOC sees like at least 30 broken legs and ribs and bruises and other stuff so I spent lots of time in the medical locker like getting out icepacks or splints to help the intimates.

Pictured below is Deebo, a intimate, playing minecraft on the medbay computer.

HiyR4b3AeGlEZRLIXF-RECFNWJAYT_ZyAy9lyTFArThWESMEpWegsMpJufCBOiZIOV67ruHle36CPKQTvwznvmZzYMlgkdFLyMllYLT02QMQAFva6dwg635JHLrz8wSxP9qDYUm0

Inmate Stuff

Like I help the intimates a lot by doing fun activities like yoga, sing song time, cooking and laundry. Inmates get like stuck in the laundry machine a lot so we have to free them.

I like to keep the motto “A busy inmate is like a happy inmate” like it’s because of like psych stuff so like people don’t do like super bad boy and bad girl stuff that means we have to like put them into solitary for like timeout.

nmto1huSXozaYu-X0348Su_NLCL8-YqZHPWni0omEnQJte36ARbcMpVtFd7cNFCGJ0D-ALAlS_q4cEWz27rx3GEKihGXaXO0xiJpIKH3tKujCvo7-_uSrjXoLiKlB8wWbrzctYuJ

Like a lot of goofs and oddballs come to like the DOC and even though like most of them are super weird and scary, we need to ensure that they like DOC. This is so like they don’t bust down our doors like one day and like invade DOC with their weirdness.

We deal with people like Doug the G and the Bathshebas all the time. They’re like mostly super chill but like slightly annoying.

Please delete this reply if I'm not meant to share this here, but I commend a lot of the members of this faction for being both so involved and patient in-game. More often than not, I'm finding myself disappointed that my time's up in DOC because the members of this faction make it that much enjoyable to RP there. It has also correspondingly made arrests a lot less frustrating knowing that these members will be there to make the time pass by quicker. Thank you to everyone that I've RPd with so far within this faction!

At the DOC, Yuki will always go above and beyond for the people she cares about. Each person that signs on to become apart of the DOC automatically earns a place under Yuki's wing. She has worked at the DOC for almost a year now, over that time she has learnt many hardships. No more naïve little Asian. She has developed into a mature woman, who hopes to lead well. And she has too with all the new faces coming into the SADOC.

9Tpre67.jpg

Yuki likes to see herself as a mother, pushing her DOC children to work at the highest potential they can. Often the GFO command will take these fresh faced officers to the FSQ building and teach them a thing or two about clearing rooms in dangerous situations. With the lead of Lieutenant Jorge Lewis, they all learnt a lot.

o6aVMFn.jpg

From a few tazers and friendly rivalry, we work hard but can have a little fun. At the DOC, days can be hard and very violent. It's trainings like this which can really help the new comers relax and gain some important experience.

5gk52t2.jpg

QJSwJ6Z.jpg

But, DOC doesn't just support their officers. They are there to lend a hand to the most vulnerable inmates that come into the cells.

Harold Bartholemew is one of these vulnerable individuals who needs a lot of care and people he can trust. He lacks the ability to talk or communicate as everyone else does and has a lot of manic episodes. Unfortunately he got into a bit of trouble with SD and booked into DOC soon after. While he was there, CMT team did their best to keep him safe. Kourtney Parrish and Yuki worked closely with him, giving him Lego in the gym room and paper so he can write things down.

JDO7hJQ.jpg

He drew a lot of fun picture for us, demonstrating his likes for the city/DOC.

0q6UeLc.jpg

61bHf5N.jpg

From some of his beautiful drawings, Yuki learnt that he struggles with Police because he likes to stand on bridges and look at the birds. However, the police assume he is going to jump and scare him. Law enforcement will often ask for him to 'get down' and with his mental capacity, he does get down; but down off the edge of the bridge.

After his sentence Yuki and Kourtney took up to the city and bought him a bike. He didn't have a license and isn't in the right state to drive his vehicle, so CMT wanted to help him travel around. He seemed very happy and excited for this, waving off the woman and went peddling off down the street.

x8dLNRA.jpg

The CMT unit hopes to help more people like him. They want to show the city of Los Santos that we might be a maximum security prison, but we do care when people are at their lowest point.

The final four contestants prepare a specialty lunch for some surprise guests Chef Cobb has invited to Hell's Kitchen. When the doors open, 5 very hungry, very picky and very angry inmates through the door! The inmates choose the best dish and send the winner on a $10,000 shopping spree for kitchen utensils when they leave the prison. The remaining chefs are forced to stay behind and clean up after the luncheon. During dinner service tempers flare and tension is high, and one contestant gets careless and slips some hot sauce into one of the dishes, which sends Chef Cobb over the edge.
