Earl Mud Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 I never understood why we need a trunk to transport someone downed. What if we add assist to bring them into a seat instead of a trunk? When I take someone to a hospital irl I dont toss em in the trunk. If it's a balance issue maybe limit it to bls and up where of they arent bls'd it has a chance to harm them from not being as stable. 1 Quote
Josh Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 Factions able to do this with the /drag command, maybe Devs can look into ways to implement it with civs? 1 Quote
Bala Posted October 26, 2025 Report Posted October 26, 2025 If you have too many ways to take someone to the hospital, it sort of encroaches on our Medical Department. 1 Quote
Earl Mud Posted October 26, 2025 Author Report Posted October 26, 2025 Keep in mind part of this suggestion is coming from someone who plays in a time zone were downed without a trunk is almost always death. Quote

LEOs should be responding if you use 'both'. I think it's a genuine negligence of faction duties otherwise. 1 Quote
NinerTwoGolf Posted October 26, 2025 Report Posted October 26, 2025 +1 Would be if you didn't have to trunk someone every time when you have perfectly good passenger seats. As for MD getting encroached, buff MD. Have it be cheaper if an ambulance takes you or it gives you full health health when you are taken away by the ER docs. Something to make MD the more desirable option. 1 Quote
AtlasOLimbo Posted October 26, 2025 Report Posted October 26, 2025 -1 We shouldn't be encouraging things that make MD have even less RP. Quote
RustyOsprey2 Posted October 26, 2025 Report Posted October 26, 2025 Something I believe I suggested during my short time in MD. Taking someone yourself to the hospital in the form of the /dropbody, should have increased cost. Right now it costs what, 1000$? Im not completely sure but somewhere around there. Being taken by trunk to said location should have its cost increased, and the wellness you get afterwards should be way worse than if you get taken by MD, PD and SD. Additionally, being taken to the hospital by MD, PD and SD should be free. 2 Quote

risk Posted October 26, 2025 Report Posted October 26, 2025 +/- 1. I understand the argument against the need for a trunk, but in my view, the entire concept of self transport requires significant improvement. Introducing yet another method of self transport would only further diminish the value of the roleplay opportunities available through the LSEMS faction. While it’s understandable that most players want the fastest path to resolution, there’s an important balance to maintain. LSEMS exists specifically to provide medical roleplay and protect player assets - every additional bypass reduces the need for that interaction. It’s not uncommon for medics to go 30 minutes to an hour without a single call, and much of our engagement comes from internal roleplay to counteract that downtime. I’d be more supportive of self transport options if there were tangible incentives for choosing roleplay over self-transport, as NinerTwoGolf mentioned. Regarding the claim that “if you go to the hospital, you’ll see at least three medics standing there dancing while calls go unanswered”: If that’s occurring and you have evidence they are ignoring calls in favor of dancing in the med bay while on duty, please report it directly to faction leadership. That behavior constitutes neglect of duty and would result in immediate removal from the faction. 2 Quote
