Ritchie Stones Posted May 23, 2025 Report Posted May 23, 2025 first of all, this suggestion has 0 benefit to me as I am not a shooter or clapper. but I do hate to see people getting banned, especially over a controversial DM rule which can truly happen to the best gang members actually having good intentions to the server. also I don't think all clappers are bad, I truly think some people are really pvp enthusiasts. Sadly it comes with a unfortunate price to pay eventualy. if a person gets a certain amount of DM warnings, simply restrict them from any weapons lets say for a month to start with, next time 2 months, and the other time 3 months, and after that 3 months every time. this way they don't need to be banned, they will likely leave their gang or do an alternative task within their gang, allowing more RP, this way they don't need to be necessary removed from the server. and they can still be an asset to the server in a different way for as long as their punishment runs, lets call it rply "on probation" there is a fair amount of people who actually offer value to the server, and sometimes we have to see them go because they are pvp fanatics but the unfortunate eventually caught up with them or they had slipped that one time on top of a few warnings that where not so malevolent. i think this might be a great alternative for a controversial rule that is very unavoidable for PVP players. 1 1 Quote
Carl Vespucci Posted May 30, 2025 Report Posted May 30, 2025 I actually love the idea of “PvP-Blocking” instead of banning. They can still contribute to the community/buy credits etc, but wont be able to break the rule again. I think that’s actually a really cool idea! Quote
Larintai Posted May 30, 2025 Report Posted May 30, 2025 Agreed. We need some alternatives other than just banning or admin jail. +1 Quote
alexalex303 Posted May 30, 2025 Report Posted May 30, 2025 If you go to city parking you can find several people that engage in pvp by going through people's trunks until a fight breaks out and then they stomp people out or run them over with cars. You don't need a gun, it's a mentality. Quote
Requiem Posted June 2, 2025 Report Posted June 2, 2025 There is already a system in place to where punishments typically start out as simple warnings for behavior and progress is severity from there. The goal of server admin staff is always to put priority on education over simply punishing. The problem comes up when people are unwilling to change or learn from their past actions and behaviors. I do not believe that the above suggestion will work the way you intend, as they will find ways around this. Additionally, it limits RP and becomes an awkward mix of IC and OOC to restrict people from using guns from some period of time. What would their IC reasoning be for not being able to equip a gun? The current system works IF people are willing to learn appropriately and adjust their actions. 1 1 Quote

aka121 Posted July 6, 2025 Report Posted July 6, 2025 agree but rp reason can be found for this maybe they will say they got arrest and police are watching him so he cant hold a gun or do certain crime but still warning and ban is good enough Quote
