SaltyPoiosn Posted March 21, 2025 Report Posted March 21, 2025 I've never really understood the reason as to why car speakers are items, It would just make more sense to press a keybind and have a little custom UI pop up, and have every car come pre installed with a "car speaker" and remove the current car speaker item. Its expensive, its heavy and makes no sense to have it in your glovebox. 1 Quote
Diligo Posted March 29, 2025 Report Posted March 29, 2025 This is what I thought speaker mod was for before I discovered what it actually is Quote
aus7oo Posted April 6, 2025 Report Posted April 6, 2025 +1/-1, I think speakers remaining an item is totally fine, adding a UI to all speakers instead of chat commands would be much nicer however. Quote
Moose Posted April 15, 2025 Report Posted April 15, 2025 I would suggest also to steer away from youtube and finding an alternative as its highly unreliable as you see already it works somedays and somedays not 1 Quote

Mikazuki Ueno Posted April 17, 2025 Report Posted April 17, 2025 Just play Spotify and listen to it yourself. ECRP is not going to develop some new music system that is just going to let you play whatever Spotify playlists you want streamed to all users in the area. YouTube is chosen for a reason. Quote
Quietthecutie Posted April 18, 2025 Report Posted April 18, 2025 Not sure i would want this change. Car speakers are expensive and can be stolen, it motivates more creative criminal roleplay. one time i responded to a call at an event, found a guy with lockpicks, 4 car speakers and nothing else on him. laughed my ass off. 1 Quote

The whole point of the car speaker is other people hearing it, adds more atmosphere to the server. What a weird point that is to make, of course spotify is an option. I have it on 24/7. Them adding a more user friendly, and to be honest, a MUCH more realistic way of playing music within the server makes so much sense. 1 Quote

Counterpoint, just allow this new speaker or car stereo to be stolen. My original point does still stand, the current speaker is flawed and makes no realistic sense. If they implemented this correctly you could always make it possible to steal this new one with a potential new mini game or skill check kind of thing, similar to lockpicking or maybe even similar to a lockpicking mechanic seen on many games, most famously on skyrim, and of course a new item with a market value. If stolen you would then need to get your new speaker installed at a mechanic or a "DIY" one you buy from the store and you would install is like how you apply the licence plates. Quote
jason Posted April 19, 2025 Report Posted April 19, 2025 YouTube is used because other options are not possible. The old system used online radio, but that was exploited and removed. Spotify is not possible for a large number of reasons. Quote

This suggestion has nothing to do with spotify though, its other poeple suggesting that. My original point still stands no? Quote
jason Posted April 20, 2025 Report Posted April 20, 2025 I don't disagree with your point, I'm addressing those who mentioned what's relevant to my reply. Quote
