Legal money as a physical object

Similar to how packed cash works, the ability to create a stack of legal cash. Instead of being in your "pocket money" it turns into a physical item you can hand over to others or place in a safe/drop.

This could be useful for storing cash without having to have it in your pocket and risk losing it, would make purchasing set price items easier as the buyers could have the stacks ready, can be left in a safe for another player to collect if they arent online to be paid out of pocket ect.

Could involve a new item found in stores such as rubber band

I would like this to be a thing...and also i would not.

the suggestion makes sense in principle but it also kills the opportunity for more roleplay. i,e currently robbers have a reason to keep their captive alive to fleece their pockets before leaving/killing them. thus opening for more RP. wheras if all agressors have to do is to kill someone to get their cash to spawn, that opens us up for more aggro, less sensible and ultimately more rushed RP scenarios. the money is already there that you ask for, you just have to RP for it.

How I understand is to make pocket money physical object in ur inventory instead of RPly having it. Like if u for example die with 10k the 10k would remain on ur body unroll someone takes it/body despawns. I think it would make sense with the direction the server is heading. We are getting more and more physical objects so it would make sense and I would highly recommend it 🙂

Oh okay. Not gonna lie I don’t see much RP opportunities other than prolonging death of someone. Like u need alt rp request to hide it somewhere etc. So the money acts like physical objects and u have to RP with it accordingly. Honestly I see your point. Though don’t think this would change a lot bout rp oppurtunities. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE LESS STRICT RULES ABOUT ALT RP THOUGH and have more RP opportunities. I’m one of the guys on the server who uses /me and /do extensively

An easy thing would be to make it so you can go to any bank. and turn cash on hand. in to packed cash.

This way PD won't know if the packed cash people have on them is legal or illegal. and lets people pack up their cash and hide it in a safe or use it to drop off to buy illegal stuff.

 

Lets say you go to the bank. talk to the person that gives you your salary. and there is a tab that lets you convert Cash in to packed cash.

 

This packed cash would be different script wise, and cannot be sold to NPC's for Turf credit. and if you cut it open with a knife, it does not spawn Marked money. giving you 100% of the money it contains as it doesn't have a dye pack in it.

I had a RP one time where someone asked me for a ride, i let them into the back of my car, then they put a knife to my throat and took me on a ride up a mountain, where he robbed me, but in the time it took for him to search me for my money the cops showed up and this resulted in a fun chase with me in the trunk of my own car.

Interesting thought. It would be better to make all money as physical object. Either way the purpose of packed cash is for LEOs to find out if the money was stolen or not. It would have to be balanced somehow. Like it’s unerealistic to tell if the money was stollen only based on if it was the money packed or not. Me personally I would suggest to make it less recognizable for LEOs at the same time give them more investigation RP opportunities. For example… being caught with 40k of packed cash would not mean u stole it but its a probable cause for investigating where did u get it from.

Okay that’s a fair point. Well I agree with it. Though I believe developers go I’m the way of making most of the RP scripted. What I am not big fan of. I love making uo some fun RP using /me and /do. Even though it could result in an arrest because it would take too long. I dislike the fact that to search someone u need to perform only ony /me. It makes most of the robberies boring.

Yes and my thought is if a cop catcges you with marked money they would think you stole it but its unrealistic if i catch some with money irl woukd it say marked money they should investegate where you got it from
