Creating notifications on phone

I thought it would be a great idea to put notifications on the upper most part of your phone when you have an unread/missed text message or a missed phone call? There looks to be space on either side of the timestamp where you could have a message/phone symbol appear if you have missed or not yet read something??

Nothing worse than missing a text because it came in whilst offline and not having a notification showing anywhere to display it's missed. Maybe something like what I've included below, whilst obviously being prettied up (Showing how missed calls / missed texts could be displayed)

It's even wilder that this isn't a thing yet when you consider it used to be a thing when the phone was entirely text-based and now after several UI overhauls for it, it isn't.

It also used to be clearer about when a text message was received. Instead of just showing you a blanket date, it would actually give you relatively accurate times.

The phone should have some sort of indicator of notifications, and then some sort of indicator of which conversation in the texts part of the phone has had new responses that haven't been read yet. Right now, it's all a bit of a maze and we've been waiting on this very minor QoL change for years.

BIG +1 from me!! Make the phone more fun. In some cities they have YouTube integrated in which you can play music as well.
