BUT i am tired of being arrested for having it holstered on my character it doesnt make sense like i get yall might not want to fix it to where no gun will show but im not gonna have it open carry like that ... like cmon. At least make it to where if i unholster it it will be hidden cause real shit if you got a strap its gonna be tucked not in visible sight unless you can via the state or country laws and regulations Quote
Quietthecutie Posted November 25, 2023 Report Posted November 25, 2023 This has already been suggested. some ideas were floated around but sadly due to the limitations of RAGE we cannot mechanically hide guns on a persons body. therefore the call was made to not do what youre suggesting. if we tried to do this only scriptly it causes too many metagaming problems. there are ways to hide your guns in the game that people use (car storage/bags.) Bala Posted November 27, 2023 Report Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) The gun being visible was a script decision, not a rage limitation, made quite a while back, we're not forced into it. I suppose they didn't like people ass pulling pistols with no pre-warning. Not exactly realistic but perhaps logical for the server. I'm sure they could look at revising the list of guns that are hidden and the list are visible to make more sense with the addition of the other weapons now but I think for certain pistols it should still remain visible. Perhaps those guns being hideable, you could toggle hiding and unhiding it. Uniformed Cops aren't going to hide their firearms away for example. Edited November 27, 2023 by Bala Quote
Jett_J Posted November 27, 2023 Report Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) It think it would be cool to be able to hide pistols by dragging it into your inventory and then there would be an animation/action timer of like 2 seconds when you switch it from inventory in the gun slot to prevent the instant ass pulling like Bala mentioned.
