Jamal Jacobs lived in a middle class neighborhood with a nice Baller SUV, and the 57th floor in a nice apartment. All was good with Jamal. His life was all on track. That was until the great economic crash of 2007 forcing him, his 2 younger sisters (Sky (11), and Jessica (13), his older brother (Jake (19), and their parents to move into an ex meth house near Grove street. This was right at the height of gangs starting to get large numbers of members that would cause large shootouts with rival gangs. The two gangs Jamal learned about the most were the Ballas and The Vagos. Jamal is the middle child and had to take care of his younger sisters with the help of his brother Jake. The first ever time they had a shootout happening in their neighborhood was the moment Jamal and Jake had enough. At the time Jamal was only 16 but decided that this was all ruining his life. He decided to buy a Rhapsody for himself and Jake to plant and gather marijuana at a local dock that was abandoned many years ago. Jamal was the inside guy finding contacts that they could sell plants to for a price of 140$ per plant. Jamal was shocked at how much money he could make. He didn't stop. Jamal and Jake went during broad daylight to collect plants because it was the safest time of day to do business. When Jamal and Jake had gathered 300 plants they talked to the guy they met earlier. They sold all the plants to him and pocketed 42,000$. They were shocked. With that money they decided they wanted to keep doing that business so they decided to find someone who sells .50's that have suppressors and 50 rounds. They asked the fellow who they sold plants to if he sold guns he said he didn't. But his gang did. He was a member of the Ballas. He said they sold that kind of weapon for 13.5k each. He bought two with the money they had for an investment. The next day Jake said that some of his homies from school would help them get plants. On the first run together with 4 members, 2 cars, 4 guns they got ambushed by the Ballas. The first shot was fired and it struck one of Jake's friends in the left thigh. They shot back striking multiple Ballas. Just When the tides were turning Jake got hit in the upper chest. He was paralyzed. Jamal picked Jake up and threw him in the trunk. Jake's friend put his other friend in their car and they floored it. They hit 6 ballas on their way out of the dock. They drove to a forest near Paleto Bay and parked there. Jake's friend gave them their guns and drove to a hospital. They ditched their guns in the forest. Jamal drove to Sandy Shores hospital along with Jake's friend. Jamal rushed him into the emergency room meeting with a doctor. They took it from there. Jake and his friend went into surgery. They patched up the friend's leg pretty fast. But the damage was already done to Jake. Jake died during surgery. Jamal couldn't bear the grief. Years later the Jamal heard about a gang named The Families. Jamal asked the leader and his associate if he could help them in any way. They accepted. They all hate the Vagos and the Ballas. They wanted revenge. They each had their reasons to hate. This is where Jamal Jacobs' story begins.
