  3. Clothes in general should not cost $1000+ per item. Were not all shopping at Saks 5th avenue, there should be cheaper clothes options, and maybe some premium ones too. That's an hour of free pay check for a new player, A fifth or a sixth of an hour of play for a legal worker, depending on rank, or ~8-10 plants for a crim. Seems excessive as is.
  4. Hello! I was the on duty, undercover detective here. I was undercover due to multiple gun store robberies, and with permissions through the appropriate IC channels. Undercover Detectives happen in response to IC issues, such as chain robberies. Gun stores, unfortunately, you cannot see into so I have to peek inside, and THEN call for backup which I did. Your friend went towards his bike, and my plan was to get him arrested when marked PD came. Ideally I want to get on my bike and leave, but I accidentally locked my bike and didn't have time for it as your friend came rushing out of the store, which is reasonable since you would have seen me checking the door. You then came out and started the firefight, and I protected my life while the backup I called for came on scene. Any charge disagreements you have can be taken up ICly through the courts. https://streamable.com/2trpzh
  5. Nope, it seems to be resolved now, thank you.

    Miasma Syndicate

Naomi got a call from an old friend and asked how things were going. The response, while it made her laugh, perked her interest: "PD is up my ass further than usual." Naomi brought them somewhere quiet and talked about it. Turns out, a certain gang officer had been conducting random searches on the said friend, over and over and over again. Naomi figured out an angle to shoot for, and the friend agreed to try and get a restraining order against the officer, just to make his life more annoying. Naomi went over to the courts and asked around. She met with her usual lawyer, who went upstairs to talk to the Chief Justice and they talked for a minute while she sat in the lobby. The lawyer unfortunately came back with an answer to simply speak to a Police Supervisor. The two of them went down to Mission Row just to try, and to Naomi's surprise, they got a supervisor. He ended up agreeing that there could be officer misconduct and encouraged an internal affairs report. To Naomi's pleasure, third-party reports are accepted, and she filed one for the friend. Naomi's friend said that they'd look into getting Ventilators and lab supplies for her. She would still pay a fair price on them, nothing's free but favors lead to supplies and resources. It was simply put good business.

  9. HISTORY The Miasma Syndicate was founded on Naomi's insistence to do things "quiet, yet deadly." She had worked for years with Melody, and while the two were still on friendly terms, they developed radically different approaches to their work. Miasma, the word for "an oppressive or unpleasant atmosphere," is precisely how the new business would operate. The foundation was simple enough: leverage the existing contacts to continue to make money, ensuring that the syndicate would always be profitable. The profit could come in all forms, whether in cold hard cash, weapons or drug assets, or progress relationships, but every action needs its purpose. There would be no pointless wars, no squabbles, no meaningless fights. The syndicate would have things either go in their favor or ensure the deal's poisoned for their enemies. GOALS Establish a core office in the city Establish multiple drug labs for the syndicate Re-establish arms contracts Provide contracting services to the city RANKS Chairwoman Board Member Executor Exterminator Dispatcher Agent Messenger Expectations Have 25,000 xp on any character, and at least 5000 xp on the character in faction The game is to have fun, while we take the RP seriously its meant to be an escape at the end of the day Follow all ECRP rules, and separate IC and OOC at all times

    The Underground

Naomi and the boys were bored, so they did the usual. Ring some friends, see what's burning through the city. Chase picked up, and said he's dealing with a Police Gang Unit, but he'd be down to do a bank in a bit. The crew rolled the banks, found the target and right on time, Chase called back. "I'm a bit fucking busy driving the cops in circles, you mind giving a hand?" Naomi looked to the rest of the Kamacho, and everyone agreed in a heartbeat. Fuck the cash, we have hell to raise. Naomi gave the position on Banham Canyon Road, waited for the buffalo to drive by, and "now". All hell broke loose. The buffalo and cargo got away. By the end of the night they all ended up in prison, but with grins on their faces and a confused and exhausted Police Department swearing as they sent them away.

    The Underground

It was a routine bushiness call with a friend, asking about supplies for the group's tables when she heard, "Mika was showing off his new recruits to the gangs, and saying he was going to make 'scorched earth' for Underground," Naomi laughed, and thanked him for the info, and pulled everyone armed into a car. She was going to show Rising Suns what Scorched Earth meant. She found an RS Manchez scout unlocked, and told the group to firing squad it with silencers. She then drove it over the beach fire, turning it into ghost ride, and completely un-driveable. Next up was the Seven 70 parked outside Melanie's business, which she quickly opened, hotwired without a single person noticing. They only poured out once the fire burned a bit too hot and the car alarm went off, and then melted. The group pulled up, and laughed as they saw everyone pouring out of the business. A RS member asked for a meeting in front of Melanie, which she said "That's not your place to ask." Naomi simply said, "We can talk to Micah about "Scorched Earth" later." For now, Rising Suns gets to experience it firsthand.

    The Underground

Naomi had some work to do. JT and Rose called her out saying, "where fuck you been?" and she knew they were right. She called a meeting and aired the dirty laundry, and there was enough to fill a laundromat. She talked with JT Rose and Grace, and the pink elephant in the room was Underground needed two things badly: Friends and More Family. That night, Naomi went to bed, and combed through her contact list, looking to make calls. The first person she called was her brothers down south in the industrial yards, The Amarillo Aces. The Aces had done nothing but stand by us through thick and thin, and her and JT talked about politics. Brody King took his hat off to show his shaved head, and talked about how the Shenzen Dragons shaved his head after not apologizing to a recruit. At this point Naomi had an idea, and immediately called up Chad Rapkov and Salvation. Naomi knew where they sat on the Shenzen & Irish war, and that they were actively selling to Irish. Naomi pitched her meeting to Chad who immediately agreed, and said he and Jackie would do their best to get Irish to the table. The next day, Naomi pulls down to the Tuna Shop with the Aces, and finds Donnie Drakk up front complaining about the same exact Dragon problem. Donnie calls the rest of the Saints down to the shop, and the three groups agree that a large inter-gang command meeting is needed. Pleasantries are exchanged, names and numbers are passed out, and the groups decided to run a bank afterwards. Naomi explained to the newer Saints and Aces how banks worked, while Donnie and Liam got supplies and prepped their members. Everything was sorted out, drills, lock-picks and bolt cutters were passed out, and everyone piled into Life Invader bank. Unfortunately for the group, the feds were ready, and within seconds they were on the group. The scouts were ready, and called out to leave. Naomi pushed her luck, but a greedier and brave soul got her out by focusing the attention on him. Shortly after, Underground met up to continue hitting the pavement, looking for new members. A man known as Cletus, quickly christened "Black Cowboy" had responded to Naomi's Weazel ads, and he met everyone while they worked construction to chat and make easy money. As they all were clocking off, Chase Brasco wanted an official meeting between the two, so they all headed up to observatory and the Orange Ball fruit stand. The groups met and discussed their similar problems, and agreed that working together again would be logical and profitable for the both of them. We shared similar enemies, had good friends together, and there's always good security in business in numbers. Chase and Naomi agreed, there's good work to be done. Naomi promised three simple things from underground, which she wanted to re-build the group upon and also build the gang relations on. Not only with Saints, but with every group. Loyalty Honor Respect
  15. I'd agree with this, mostly just because I don't want to see hostage situations turn into "GIVE ME YOUR GUNS". I think taking from the dead would work, especially with the enhanced IC risk/reward Melody suggested.

Naomi was mad. Cops normally annoy her, but the amount of mask enforcement was bordering on lunacy. She was tasered off her bike for not taking her mask off, lost a pistol and even had DOC guards going "bruh" as she was being arrested. She was able to find time to get in a Kamacho and laugh, but she was still out the gun. During the three years she spent in DOC for charges she felt were complete nonsense, she complained to literally anyone who would listen, and then to Emily Whitehorse afterwards, since she was looking to change the city's laws anyway. She joked that Emily should donate to the United People's Ground Movement political party, but the more the joke went, the less funny and more realistic she thought about getting donations. In the mean time, she went out to the construction site and Burgershot, looking for people who would help her make some dough. It turns out if you shout "Who wants to rob a store?" at a bunch of bored workers, it works pretty well. Naomi paid out half of each packed money, and then washed it all for a nice payday for everyone. She even managed to sneak out a weazel ad: She managed to purchase a few odds & ends from Salvation to sell through this scheme, and bought plenty of plants from a few Burgershot employees, happy to get a tax-free pay check. After the plants piled up, she set to work making the magic happen and turning them into nice piles of coke for money and to give back to this city.

Naomi had her own plans for the protests, readying something a bit "American Sized." She went up to Route 68 Mania, bought herself a Pounder. She drove it down to LSC, swore heavily trying to get it inside, and got it styled out for a protest. She took it for a test drive by City Hall, figuring out just how much it blocked. The pounder took up two lanes of traffic, quickly catching attention of Yuki Nakamura and Sebastian Papadakis. She pressed her luck for a bit, and eventually drove off with the Police Scout following her to parking to ensure she actually parked and didn't circle around for a fifth time. Naomi figured 4 pounders ought to completely shut off the front of city hall, two on each side. She looked forward to causing more havoc with it in the future, but for now the Pounder is kept safely in parking, waiting for its moment of glory.
  18. One of the random pain points I have on a daily basis as an LEO character is handling dead bodies. We currently have to load the bodies up in our cruisers, drop them off at pillbox and then file a /report 1 to despawn them. While there are other solutions to this, if the server wants coroner to be its own separate civilian job, I would highly encourage there to be a job hiring and drop off point in Los Santos. That way, the burgershot calls I make to 6666 on a regular basis might actually be answered, and let me go about faction duties, rather than dead body taxi to Pillbox MD. This is also a rehash of @ZanderDoggo's thread here: Just over the past two days, this has been some of the bodycount at burgershot that I personally have responded to.

    The Underground

Naomi had gotten in a rut. Smash ATM, wash, smash, wash, smash wash. She felt like the depressed hulk smashing through all the ATMs when she got a phone call from a dear friend, Opal. She got the invite to tag along and help run banks with The Haze Corporation and she ran there as fast as her BF400 went. Naomi smiled at the group of friends that pulled through the meeting spot, and met new ones along the way. Everyone had piled into Chumash Bank, which was drained faster than you could blink. Minus the one bike injury, everyone got away, and got ready to pile into LifeInvader Bank. You could feel the excitement from the Motley Crew as the driller counted down, and everyone rushed in. Naomi got away with her share, and a giant smile on her face. She needed a pick-me-up, and Opal always knew what she liked.
  20. While the idea is epic, we're missing two big things here: #1 What's the risk - Would the tables explode like drug tables? It doesn't make sense for them to smoke or explode like drug tables would, and I'm struggling to find a real risk to the activity. Maybe it would be in material acquisition rather than in production, but I'm not sure how that would work either. I would love to see ideas for how this activity can provide Crim <-> Crim tensions and Crim <-> LEO tensions. #2 Promoting Group RP - I'm aware we all groaned at losing apartment labs, but this promoted either large scale gang cooking in warehouses, or small scale cooking at the static labs, both of which create RP scenarios. How would making counterfeit money be "fun" mechanically and promote criminal RP interactions. The last thing the server needs to encourage holing up in apartments doing an activity alone, which is what this idea currently is. My suggestion to this would to use some of the smaller fleeca banks and be able to literally "print money" by holding up the whole bank. You would have to bolt-cut your way into facility, and start up the machines, with the quick time actions. The machines could provide some sort of "smoke" mechanic to show that it's active, and any failed quick time action would sound an alarm that would alert LEO's through 911. These could provide static criminal sites in the city, rather than just the four labs up north. ICly we already have GF12 Forgery or Counterfeiting that could easily be applied to this activity, so I don't foresee the need for massive penal code changes.
  21. -1 It wasn't worth it at the 180s timers, but now I honestly believe the ATMs are fine as is with the action timer. You can get a $1000-1500 roll of packed cash in less than two minutes, and the charges are $1000 for vandalism and $2000 for petty theft (caught with packed cash). A crowbar costs about $500, and its slow easy-ish low risk, low reward money for crims to do while waiting for friends to free up, e.g. get out of DOC. Two successful ATMs pay for a botched one, and I've gotten about a 75% success rate smashing them without getting caught, and the evasion is up to you at that point.
  22. I attempted to charge a panto that was blocking the road up to upper power street with VC09 Blocking Intersection - as per the penal code https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qMm9u2Tl59RBpNyNSA88G7WYPFwiOgzXqL-1cWgAHEc/edit#gid=836612286 However, the charge does not exist in the MDC. VC08 and VC10 exist, but not VC09.
  23. Its an issue of ping/desync, not your FPS. Try aiming early if your ping is bad, and ATMs make for much cheaper practice now that they're on the same system. Once you get "used" to your amount of desync on it, its not too terrible. There's a thread on this here already:
  24. Loitering is already a charge applicable in game, under GC01 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qMm9u2Tl59RBpNyNSA88G7WYPFwiOgzXqL-1cWgAHEc/edit#gid=836612286. You could ask for an IC littering charge, but that would be an IC suggestion more than anything. I think a litter clean up could be a neat add-on to the incident management job, but for better or worse the pawn shop is everyone's trash bin now. I do like the idea of having dumpsters as public storage, could be interesting to go dumpster diving, have random nonsense spawn in them as well.
