I have also been having this issue at my property in Nikola PL, mirror park. Have been having the issues since I got the property 6 months ago. Still no fix despite numerous admin and bug reports.

So I have tried this, many times to that effect, have tried placing the gates, anywhere on this particular driveway, and nothing happens, I do believe it is a bug with the level at which the driveway stands upon, having looked further into the other properties on the street, none of them seem to have the same slanted driveway that mine has, my driveway is the only one on a slope like position, and have noticed the gate slightly hanging in the air because of it. This could be looked into, as it’s still an issue with the script and the UI interface, as a whole on this property and potentially many others within the city. many thanks!

I think it more comes down to your characters knowledge of how to repair a car, no one in the entire city, stepping fresh off that plane will know how to operate and repair a car, despite having spare tyres and a kit In their car. The mechanic’s license is a way for people to learn officially through IC means how to do so, and effectively adds to the RP and backstory behind your character and how you develop them throughout your time in the city. Having the ability to say ‘Iv got an official mechanics license, given to me by LSC and I had to go through a course where I was shown extensively how to repair a vehicle and in what situations I should and shouldn’t’ just helps add that little bit extra RP and immersion, rather than every single person who steps off the plane saying ‘yeah I fix cars, so I should be allowed to buy a repair kit and repair any vehicle I want. Remember, this is an RP server, not everyone should is allowed to just use any scripted item in the server just because ‘it is there’. Gun licenses for example you have to apply for, RP a safety course, fill out paperwork, have PD check you over. And once it’s approved, then your allowed to buy your firearm. That’s like saying, ‘well why not just raise the prices of a .50 to 25k each in the shops and we will forget about the gun license’ just because there is no other alternative to waiting for PD to approve my license. Again, this all adds to the RP and the immersion within the server. And always remembering, why your character is doing what he is doing, does he have experience? Does he have a reason behind it? Etc etc

I do agree with your point that there should be an alternative, but similar to MD, when you injure yourself and no one from MD is on duty, or someone simply doesn’t turn up, unfortunately you cannot just suddenly ‘patch’ yourself up and be on your way, doing so removes the need for MD in a way and removes the need for more RP. I do think, similar to MD, there should be a license you should be able to obtain, a ‘mechanic’s license’ which similar to the MD’s ‘medical license’ ‘gives the ability to temporarily extend the lifespan of an individual’. The same can be done for the repair kit, where a one time use thing allows you to give your car a certain amount of HP, and temporarily allows you to drive your vehicle to the nearest mech shop. This ‘Mechanic’s license’ has to be obtained through a ‘Repair Kit course’ which LSC would host, the same as MD and show you how to repair your car, how and what to look out for etc. This would add yet more great RP that we don’t see from situations like this, and opens up more opportunities. Again, similar to the OP, this is simply a suggestion, as I do know the current system does work but is sometimes flawed due to the lack if mech’s willing to come out and do tow’s, sometimes out of choice.

+1 Il agree, there are plenty of things the devs could and should focus on rather than updating something that didn’t necessarily need it. The phone update in my eyes was not needed. The same for the gloves update, not needed, as I am still seeing PD and MD slapping on their gloves IC through /me’s. In my eyes, it seems that performance within the server is being completely overlooked, the pier for one and the area surrounding it, including HE is an absolute nightmare for performance and glitch errors, the amount of crashes I myself have had in that area alone is beyond a joke. Devs need to seriously focus on improving the bugs and performance within the server, as it is clearly affecting a lot of people. The persistent K and F bug when entering a car or any vehicle, resulting in a crash, has been in the server since I first came in, which is at least a year ago, so clearly that has not been looked into, this is altogether ruining my RP experience, and have not found any of these problems or perfomance issues on any other server I have played on. Devs, if your reading this, focus on improving the server, not adding more useless things to it and ignoring the actual problems we as people within the server are facing each and every day, and are being logged in your bug report section and crash report section almost every day.

MASSIVE +1 With Ore Mining irrelevant nowadays due to the huge nerf to it and to the RV, oil mining is all we have left in terms of mining, and with everyone flocking to the fields, and seeing 8 oil pumps, but then finding out only half of those are actually useable, is a big blow, we need more access to the pumps, even if it means a slight nerf to the price we receive for each barrel, maybe also giving the pumps more oil in each one? or just give us the access of what they were placed there originally for? With no nerfs This is a slight tweak for the DEV’s that could see the economy rise up again through freelance jobs.

+1 at the very least, increase the quantities sold yes, but considering that most of the crim money making methods are almost irrelevant now a days, with most of them not making any money at all, or resulting in far too much risk for such a little payment, I agree that the drug system needs a buff, the risk/reward ratio should be there for this sort of activity, but sadly, I don’t see the reward side, just a huge investment needed to spend hours and hours gathering all the necessary ingredients to make next to nothing in profit nor money, I could honestly say, that fishing would pay more in the time it takes it to do all of this, plus having a much lower risk factor overall. The old system was far better than the current system, this needs to be brought back if there is any hope for a fun and enjoyable Crim RP experience in this field.

+1 big fat yes, makes no sense to given the keys, spare copy of paperwork, ability to refuel the vehicle, etc etc, but not being able to repair the vehicle....needs to be fixed/added ASAP.

Date and time (provide timezone): All Times Character Name: All Characters Issue/bug you are reporting: So i have been having this issue for the last few months but recently there was a patch for a: [WI] Fixed an issue that prevented island "world interactions" to load. This patch 'supposedly' fixed the issue i am currently having, but as you can see from this video taken today, this is still a common and annoying bug. i have spoken to a few staff members who have confirmed it is to do with the gates being 'too far from the front door' however, the road i am on in mirror park, every house on the street has the same design house with the same length from the door to the driveway, this is not to do with the gate being too far away from the door, as if that was the case, the UI wouldnt be bugging out as it clearly is in the video posted below, but rather wouldn’t be showing at all. This is a bug, and needs to be looked into ASAP. Expected behavior: Any gates placed down on the driveway should be accessible like any other gate, this includes being able to lock the door and access the keypad if needed. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: The Property in question here is: /setgps 10 nikola pl i have tried relogging several times, have also tried to reposition the gates, with no luck at all. and this occasional 'access furniture' (being able to lock it) occassionally appearing upon logging in, shortly disappearing after. +1 A great idea for not only myself but for others to actively reflect back on everyone’s RP, this creating a more enjoyable RP experience and allowing us all to further improve on potential mistakes we may be making on a daily basis IC.

+1 moved from the “chat”box as that is what it is meant for, chatting, and paying attention to important RP, and not seeing tons of ads spewing across my screen every second. breaking immersion, And moved to a more realistic place, IE: a phone and updated through there, maybe add a whole new app for Weazel news where we can see all current ads and phone numbers attached, including info regarding the ad IE: car details, house details etc and possibly the name of the person who posted it, this helping to tackle scamming.

+1 Agreed, while this is an ongoing bug with the server/rage, these car speakers/ speakers have never worked with pretty much the entirety of the server. Quite possibly the most temperamental item in the entire server. These should be removed from all general stores and everyone should be given a refund, until such a time where the devs are confident these do work as expected. As clearly these do not and quite frankly have never worked like they are supposed to.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: This bug has always been dominant in the server but never this bad, it seems to have gotten worse over the last few weeks, if not the last few months, most noticeably, since the modview update. This is causing massive problems IC. Whenever i go to HE I am seeing a ton of empty cars scattered around the whole place, and people constantly logging in, and logging out. It most noticeably happens when I enter the lot furthest to the exit, but can happen even on foot close to the HE lot. This needs to be looked into ASAP. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A

+1 very much needed! One of the many reasons so many people don’t use the lot, spawning into the car would not only negate many player reports being made, therefore giving more free time for admins to deal with other player reports, and allow more people to use the lot freely.
