*** this thread is for 5M transitional changes only ** so i have pitched this to a few individual in ECRP, who for the most part, had an overwhelming positive reception to the idea. i would like to expand the idea of the task man. in 5m NPC are alot more integrated into the system. i believe we should use this to our advantage. i believe we can make use out of them to create more stories in our city. in another 5m server i was in they had NPCs that gave missions. some illegal and some legal. i had so much fun with this part of the server. the NPCs sent me do fun this that got me some cash and delivered a fun experience because i got a whole story line from one NPC. one mission was to help a farmer get all of his crops and then defend his farm from invaders. now the mission allowed me to handle it how i wanted. i could call the police for backup, handle it myself silently with a machete, or use a gun that might get police on me. regardless i think a lot of our interactive "missions" in ECRP lead us to the same PVP end we all hate. i think if we can implement a system where player can do their own thing we might enjoy that better. some NPC had illegal missions where you would beat up an actor for a mission you got from a director in the movie making area. (milestone rogue NPC maybe soon). but it would lead into driving a car that had a bomb in it to rival movie making areas for you to leave the car. another activity is actually selling your drugs to NPCS. in another server i played in (smilesRP) i was able to sell my weed on the corner or an alley way and get NPCs to negotiate with. to me this was so much more fun that the current system because i actually got to be a drug dealer. i had hard NPC character where i negotiated the price and others there i could just flat out get robbed and i retaliated with a knife. its jsut small interaction like that that make an RP difference. i just think theres a whole new field of stuff we can work with and i think preparing for the switch is what we should focus on right now. how can we make it so new 5m, player wanna stay here. i pray this post gets a whole bunch of interaction

(my original comment didnt offer any healthy ways of combating the issues, just more complaints of how PD should be egged) i believe the majority of the remaining community want a revision on what cop standards should be. i also personally believe that crims could use a revision of what their standards are.

Bring Back the Old Daily Reward System
theflyingfuck replied to PenguWin's topic in Game Suggestions
+1 i dont feel like giving feed back per day im in the server. please change this back to what it was. -
-1 i always hated when 5m servers would use this system. it makes the map look ugly and messy. landmarks and streets just take time to learn but its not impossible. if it were to be added it would need to be an optional thing.

+1 would stop a ton of meta gamed kidnappings

something I've noticed in the server is that gangs often like to hold other gangs in labs for long times. they wont push but they will just sit there and take up as much time as they want. I believe this should be classed as a rule break because not everyone has as much free time as one another or are in different time zones. as an American i could hold someone for a really long time at ungodly hours for someone in Europe. take advantage of the fact that they have other obligations in the morning and force them to make a move that would benefit me. I believe the focus for labs should be to have fun. when you are held in a lab because another gang is too afraid to push it becomes a stalemate and then we just have people staring at each other. I think the responsibility should fall on the pushing gang to make a move since they are the ones initiating the fight. maybe like the reescalation rule we set a 30 min timer from the moment demands given or shots fired. people have other obligations and i dont think its fair for other who dont to take advantage of that. being held in a lab for literal hours because of gear fear is not fun and does not value quality roleplay.

War System Improvements (WITHOUT AN OVERHAUL).
theflyingfuck replied to Carl Vespucci's topic in Game Suggestions
+1 i definitely think that if a bank is not in your territory one should be assigned to your gang by admin. i also think elimination should be taken out of the war entirely. its a war of attrition. all that happens is that you get people avoiding the conflict zone and if they do die in it they basically become solos for the rest of the war. its not fun for either side. -
i don't think this answers helps anyone deeply involved in crim life. we can only do so much RP with how limited things are in prison. Even something as minimal as smuggling items in requires RP permission ( which could honestly be mitigated with something as easy as best of 3 /dice roll) . everything else we think up that even remotely hints at a prison power struggle is usually met with "make an RP op for it" which honestly most people aren't going to do. The available RP currently is to work until you are out ( hopefully you don't get robbed by a guy that just came into the prison with 6 of his buddies), start fights for gang reason or because someone started talking shit cause they are bored, or talk to the guards about how their day is going ( if there is any even on shift). You cant say "lol just make RP" and hand people a rock( genuinely disheartening hearing that from an admin IMO). literally any RP server could do that and that's why so many RP servers on fiveM die out within a few months. we are better than that. everything leads to mostly pointless fighting in DOC right now. and how long can they stretch that rp with a whole 1500 square feet of space to work in. forgot to add in that we can watch TV only if a guard or someone in the prison is paying extra to be in the server. although not uncommon should not be a requirement for us not have an even more limited ic experience

im not sure how i feel about this one. i think the times are fine when considering RP value of that time and the crimes committed. its literally what you make of it at this moment. but i agree the RP of it is very limited and really geared towards fist fighting for the littlest of reason. i think you should be able to serve the time or log off and still serve the time. not be forced to lay there while you watch a movie or something on the other screen. theres lots of time that the jail is completely empty and people are forced to just sit there because the only thing to do is collect trash and clean laundry. id much rather be able to go play another game with my gang after getting charged stacked by a LEO than having to physically sit there and watch paint dry because of Prison RP being limited. IMO its really annoying having to genuinely server that time when at the end of the day its a game. especially if you forget to let your PC run while your sleep and wake up to having to serve 2 and a half hours (when this happens i straight up dont appear all day). i have back up character i will never touch again because i have no commitment to them and they have been charged stacked to literal oblivion.

Disable being able to consume drugs while in water.
theflyingfuck replied to Demonmit1's topic in Game Suggestions
+1 yea 100% it should be disabled. no way you should be able to smoke blunts under water. i think maybe the only one that could be one is LSD but at that point i would say that there needs to be an OD system in the game. seeing some shirtless guy taking 5 hits of their drug cocktail then dropping a 4 stack is insane. -
i would say its not the issue of citys versus the issue of taxi drivers. there's almost none to be found it feel like. i think the restrictions need to be lighten a bit to where it more like bennys.
