  1. Good start, and it looks like a couple of my suggestions/community suggestions have already been added. Nice start +1
  2. I agree with the point that admins/devs should not directly interfere with the operation of government factions. For example, we had the admins tell us that we were not allowed to leave our workplace while on duty for any reason, even if the faction owner/staff gave permission, or we'd face a possible 2 week server ban. That's an unacceptable breach into our faction autonomy, and puts our employees at unnecessary risk, since now they can't take out salaries or buy food from a store on duty without risking a potential ban. Temporary leave to go pick up a vehicle, heal injuries or take out a salary was already handled by faction staff, with few abuses from employees. Our factions were largely successful in punishing those who routinely abused these privileges, and managing our own affairs. Server staff has no right to tell us or our employees the proper way to do our jobs. However, with that being said, I can't verify the legitimacy of everything else that Anarchy said, nor can I recall any specific admins or police officers that have abused their duties/responsibilities. For the most part, everything has worked fine in my experience.
  3. Most players treat our server as "Heavy RP", and many of the in-game functions reflect this kind of RP standard (eg. we follow traffic laws, have stricter server rules, use the /me and /do commands as RP aids, provide a diversity of jobs to choose from, etc.). So, you'd be advised to apply this same level of RP as well, though it is not strictly required. You can press f5 in-game to access the basic commands, and you can also find some of the basic info on the server here: https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/forum/12-announcements-information/ We've recently added a criminal factions system, which allows you to form your own gang, start turf wars, sell guns/drugs for money and rob convenience stores with a friend. More and more features are being added all the time, but considering that you have tons of experience doing criminal stuff in other servers you'd probably have a good amount of fun starting your own gang on our server If you're just entering the server, the best way to get your first paycheck is to do a variety of legal jobs around the city (Trucking, courier, money transport, mining, fishing, etc). The courier job, for example, can be accessed in the north of the city (near the large bank). You can withdraw your job salary from the large bank near the courier depot, so I recommend that you work at the courier first; When you drop off your van after your shift has finished the bank is only a short run away, so it's faster and easier to cash out. Use your initial funds to save up for your first decent car, so you can easily get to where you need to go. After that, the rest is really up to you! You can form a gang, apply for a government job, become a vigilante terror on the streets, whatever.
  4. Download GTA:Network (https://www.gtanet.work) and follow all installation instructions. Once you've downloaded the application, you can run it and find Eclipse RP in the server selection list OR connect directly to the server using IP: play.eclipse-rp.net - PORT: 7001 in the direct connect tab. You'll be able to create a character and begin playing upon reaching the Eclipse server login page. If you have issues doing any of the above steps you can look up installation tutorials on YouTube or go to the GTA:N troubleshooting page: (https://forum.gtanet.work/index.php?threads/troubleshooting.823/)

  6. Welcome to the Party, Tw3rk! Things are going to get even better going forward. Lots of fun and interesting content coming out soon, so stay tuned!
  7. I agree; Updates are worthless if the server isn't online in the first place. We all appreciate the work you've been doing. Thanks for the update, and I hope to see many more in the future!
  8. I have been disconnected countless times as a result of this error, which occurs when driving vehicles and doing jobs such as Trucking, Courier and Money Transport. The alert will appear and the game will suddenly exit 2-3 minutes later. I've verified my files, checked my settings.xml file and excluded GTA:N/GTALauncher from my anti-virus but none of these suggested fixes, and others, have worked. The error code appears exactly the same every time, and looks like this:
  9. Opening the /modview menu at the mechanics crashes the game. A white bar appears along the right side of the screen, which is displayed with no text or anything on it, and the game quits shortly thereafter.
  10. Hey mom, I'm on the homepage!

  11. Good. Using existing features means that this might be easier to implement.
  12. Also a great idea! Perhaps a system like the base game where you can call a mechanic to come deliver your car to you would also help fix the issues that you and I mentioned. +1 Edit: Maybe that could be another player job the devs can add, like mechanics/tow truck drivers that can fix and drop off your vehicle where you need it. This could add another dimension to the RP experience.
  13. I agree with this. Rental cars should be excluded from sale (obviously), and should despawn after a few minutes of being unoccupied.
  14. Excellent idea. So simple, yet it makes RP and interaction much more straightforward. +1
  15. Currently, the rental car system is too sparse and doesn't have very much coverage on the map, especially in places which are more highly traveled, like fishing spots and along trucking routes. Adding more rental locations and changing their distribution can immensely benefit stranded or newer players. I know one of my biggest issues early on in my server experience was getting disconnected during a trucking run, losing the truck in the process. After re-logging my only choices were to find something to jump off of and die, or make the 20 minute run back to the city core. More locations for renting cars would be great for new players, or for players who end up stranded after a server disconnect. Placing them near key locations like the DMV/Fishing Docks/Bank, along highway truck stops and around the center core of the city could make self transport much easier. You can balance this with Taxis by making rental cars charge more per distance traveled, or charge a flat, upfront rental fee (Maybe $200?); Ergo, Taxis become much cheaper in comparison but rentals are more flexible/accessible when in sticky situations. Also, adding a feature which prevents players from using rentals if they have a warrant for their arrest could prevent users from exploiting rented cars as an escape tool for police chases. Alternatively, you could say "screw it!" and give players an optional /suicide command (with some penalties for use) if you prefer to avoid revamping the whole system.
