How to make Law Enforcement Vehicles Fair and Balanced
Spizor replied to Demonmit1's topic in Implemented Suggestions
I will never understand suggestions that use "realism" as their main point, it doesn't really lead anywhere. Suggest something from a game mechanics perspective that is relevant to how the server operates, not how things work in real life. There's no "cop spawning cars" issue, just like there's no issue with JB, LSC, MD, and all the other government factions that can spawn cars. I don't need to be forced to drive a 90s cruiser because a criminal decided to turn mine into swiss cheese over a speeding citation. Officers are not restricted to just one cruiser per model, they can be assigned a new one of the same model fairly quickly after one is damaged, just like in real life. Old photo but you get the point -
This just needs to be implemented and one of the accesses should have the ability to make the car not despawn. Or add a "Despawn" access where if a player with that permission is online, the car won't despawn.

I am seeing all these comments about LEO, how does LEO even get mentioned in this? The suggestion was about personal vehicle repairs. LEO have personal vehicles and they share the same expenses too. Why do suggestions have to always be turned into a cops and robbers argument? Just stick to the actual suggestion for once

Oil rig lab goes hard, add some scientists there and you’re sorted

Date and time (provide timezone): 31/AUG/2024, 13:46 Character name: George_Hill Does this issue appear again after a full game restart?: Yes. How many times did this issue appear for you?: All the time. Issue/bug you are reporting: Players are able to adjust their radio after they are tackled and still on the ground. They are also able to adjust their radio while they are still stunned. Expected behavior: Players should not be able to adjust their radio when they are ragdolled/stunned. Evidence (MUST provide either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: https://youtu.be/7c74TWhV0Xk

Add vehicle parking spots to properties, at least 1.

This is already suggested and put in the list

Just because it says indefinite ban doesn't mean that everything is indefinite. It basically means that the punishment could be anywhere from an ajail to an indefinite ban. Meaning there could be timed bans inbetween.

Allow for custom tabs in the chat or fix them to be categorized properly. I need to repeat my roleplay lines for my bodycam about 50 times so I can get it without backups or admin or support or whatever chat being spammed inbetween. I have to take a screenshot of my RP per the server and OOC faction rules otherwise I get in trouble ICly for it. Make life easier if it's gonna be restricted by rules.

I am not gonna comment on the details of this topic because I don't play my criminal at the time of this release. But why does every update that criminals receive, always end up with LEO being brought up even if the OP didn't? Please enlighten me.

To have this here since I just saw it get bumped in another suggestion. Allow players to give specific permissions to other players for their vehicle with new commands. Get rid of /givekey completely and add the following: "/addvehiclepermission [player] [permission]" & "/listvehiclepermissions" List of permissions: AccessVehicle, RepairVehicle, ModifyVehicle, ManageVehicle AccessVehicle will give the player keys to the vehicle. RepairVehicle will give the player permission to repair the vehicle at a mechanic shop. ModifyVehicle will give the player permission to modify the vehicle at a mechanic shop. ManageVehicle will give the player permission to add the previous permissions to other players.

When you use the laptop as you suggested, make it so you are able to talk as well. This was an issue with the helicam, so should be rather simple to fix if they are similar.

Make a buzzer for police/sheriff stations at the front desk stating which station the buzzer is at when rung, examples (roberto sanchez always needs assistance everywhere): [POLICE] Person named Roberto_Sanchez is currently waiting at the front desk of Mission Row Station and wants assistance! [POLICE] Person named Roberto_Sanchez is currently waiting at the front desk of Paleto Station and wants assistance! [POLICE] Person named Roberto_Sanchez is currently waiting at the front desk of Vinewood Station and wants assistance! [POLICE] Person named Roberto_Sanchez is currently waiting at the front desk of Sandy Station and wants assistance!

Allow for criminals to mass sell non-stackable items to an NPC (e.g. car parts, packed cash, etc..). Packed cash should be categorized differently depending on the amount of cash in it. Allow for entering a custom amount at humane labs/general stores for items that you want to buy. Or better yet, make a cart so you can buy everything at once with custom amounts.

What about all the criminals that bought the Itali GTO when it was available, or all the people that have access to one? All the comet retro customs that were purchased when available? Should PD get Itali GTOs and comet retros now to balance it out? No. Civilians and criminals don't need identical cars to PD to make it "balanced", you have cars that are way better. The D10 isn't even that big of a deal in my opinion, the jugular is still used by most. Not to mention the limited amount of people that even have access to these vehicles from PD.

I have not gone into any defensive position. I feel like my comments are taken way out of context. Like I stated, I don't mind the auto lock being removed, I just don't see what removing it really gives for all the back and forth. The only valid suggestion in this discussion is reopening the tunnels, in my opinion. Not sure why they were closed off to begin with to be honest.
-
It's honestly true, this whole fuss is for nothing. 80% of the time AIR won't have a copilot and it'll just be regular AIR. We'll still have the same advantage whether there is auto lock or not, as we should. Honestly I am kinda sick of these discussions that always turn into PD v Crim. When criminals get something new added for them, no one says anything. When LEO gets something added for them, turns into a fight. I have not seen a singular valid point in this discussion so far coming from someone who mainly played criminal for years. Removing the auto lock won't make a difference for anyone, LEO or you. Manually following a vehicle with your mouse doesn't take much skill.
-
I really don't understand what the fuss is about, auto lock or not we're gonna have the same exact advantages and the same amount of chance for you to get caught. End of. Remove the auto lock, it won't make a difference.

Date and time (provide timezone): 20:16, 16/MAY/2024 Issue/bug you are reporting: When a campfire is placed, it doesn't let you cook anything no matter what kind of meat you have in your inventory and it doesn't show anything in the "Available Materials" section. Expected behavior: Campfire is placed, you should be able to cook the types of meat you have in your inventory. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Place campfire down, open the menu using WI and you won't be able to cook anything.

Hello @Franz Stroehim, Is this still an issue, or was this a misunderstanding?
