  1. Maybe don't need to make it permanent, but just make it so it's not fixed when you store it in parking lot or garage. Like... it could only be fixed at the mechanic shop possibly...
  2. I wouldn’t say it’s because officers don’t listen to the each side. What’s the reason of listening to a store robber you just witnessed robbing a store? There are serious considerations for each arrest as you don’t want to put the wrong person in prison. Cops sometimes say “Just IA report it” because in many cases there is no reason to talk to the perpetrator when the crime has been done and there is enough evidence. Of course that doesn’t mean that “listening to both sides” shouldn’t happen and “just IA report it” should be an answer. But it literally doesn’t happen. Cops do investigate crimes that they don’t have enough evidence to and listen to both sides. Many times people are let go because there isn’t enough evidence to charge a person. TLDR: Cops say “just IA report it” when a criminal is complaining about whether they committed a crime, while the officers are sure that they did.
  3. I don’t know if these items you have witnessed yourself or someone told you or you just imagined it, but this literally doesn’t happen. We don’t take in just anyone into the faction. IA works around the clock taking in reports (they get at least 30 reports a day, many of them aren’t are petty stuff like “Waaaa the officer said a mean thing”. There are so manny mechanisms: internal announcements, discussions, punishments, IA and just pure human understanding to prevent that kind of “corruption”. In my 10 months of being in PD, I may have seen only one of these things, which was not allowing death RP. And not allowing death RP is perfectly fine no matter what injuries you have. Let me end it by saying, I don’t think that everyone is perfect. But many of you all on the other side think of PD as horrible corrupt peeps that are just picked up off the street and given a badge. It couldn’t be further from the truth. and if you don’t believe me that cops Get punished, go look at our discharge and suspension list on the forums.
  4. This is just something I and many others expect from online anonymous communities... I don’t even know if it will ever change.
  5. Hello my dear friends, I would like to introduce my background before the bulk of this post. I am a cop/civ RPer and I have played on my criminal alt probably 3 times and been to prison once for 15 minutes. I have a very limited view on the criminal RP and also the prison system. I would like to ask some fellow criminal RP role players how does the removal of AFK timer affect the prison RP. Do you guys see an increase in interaction between prisoners? DOC guards? Do some of you enjoy prison RP or outright hate it and why? Do you think that the removal of AFK timer was a good fix to force players into interaction? Thank you in advance. I understand that this is a major change, but I believe that we can get a lot of understanding and new ideas out of it. Whether you are simply upset and want to rant or have some good things to say, please do not hesitate to post it here.
  6. Obviously not every crime a criminal does is that “bro”. But there are a lot of criminals and even a fraction of them starting something between other players leads to shootouts, pursuits, and robberies every 5 minutes. And police almost never shoot first (There is something called force continuum, you could read up about it) long prison times will make criminals think twice about committing serious violently crimes such as murder or assault at gov. employees. And they also allow for more equal consequences as people getting robbed and shot at lose game time too.
  7. Not every cop wants to respond to shootouts, pursuits, or robberies every 5 minutes. With the new system, Los Santos would not be cartel infested Colombia anymore and officers would actually have time to respond and investigate petty crimes instead of constantly going to officers being shot at.
  8. My PD friends have explained this above, but I would like to add that if you were in PD, you wouldn’t even think of making the system because of how many arrests happen every hour. If you were on 911 frequency you would hear that there is a suspect getting arrested every 5-10 minutes. This could be implemented, but only when arrest numbers go down... and the recent jail time changes could fix that. On top of that, many more changes would need to be made as outlined above by some members of PD. I would also like to add that having police be judge, jury, and executioner is not as bad as people make it out to be. We aren’t as bad as people think, but a few bad experiences lead to generalization that cops are angry, biased, and would spend every second arresting someone. There are corruption rules and if an officer was found to be abusing their privilege to place false charges, they would get at least a 7 irl day suspension or possibly even a discharge. PD being corrupt and unfair is far from the truth.
  9. I have come to a realization that many of you crim characters are thinking of worst case scenarios for jail times. You may think you’ll be getting like 24 hours, but in reality it will probably be less than 6. Why? Because for example, murder charge is 90 minutes. You have to kill 4 peeps to give to jail for 6 hours. Other charges are even less now so you have to really do a lot to get up to 6 hours. and for my reckless charge people? You got what you had coming for a while. just don’t drive at 220kmh 4head obviously days for reckless charges is a lot but you probably thought you’d get away with 2 hours in prison. Hopefully this no cap period will improve your driving
  10. I’d say getting 10 hours off Is pretty good
  11. If you wanna tell me I’m not in the position to jail someone on days on end let’s take it to DMs heartgg#2701
  12. Also btw so you all know, most crimes have been reduced in the amount of jail time
  13. Some one lowlife thug gang member being arrested should not call for gang members to shoot at police officers. And we will see a change in mentality with this system. Criminals hopefully won’t risk it for their buddies due to the new system.
  14. Mr Gribbins Clearly not because then we wouldn’t have 5 shootouts an hour on the server between gangs and cops
  15. Mr. Kenny Gribbins, Trust me, there is more than enough consideration before shooting criminals. It is something that officers discuss every day.
  16. All I'm saying is, there needs to be some consideration before deciding to shoot at police officers or performing illegal actions not underground. This time cap removal creates that consideration.
  17. Look ladies and gentlemen, This will be a hard period for criminals, especially for those who had a lot of charges previously along with tickets... But after this period of suffering, things will transition into norm. At some point, criminals won't even consider robbing a police officer and will think really hard before they start shooting away at anyone for that matter. I am not a criminal roleplayer, and I can only imagine that this is a shock for you... but in the end, this is a step away from a cops vs. robbers server. I'm sure many of you like shootouts and evading police officers, but cops also would like to have other crimes to investigate rather than constantly get harassed and shot at. Criminal RP will now be forced to go underground and integrate with prison RP. Maybe this will be amended or maybe not, but for now, this seems as the only way to make criminal RP have big consequences and force it to go underground - basically make criminals think before they act... I don't know if any of you can see it, but Los Santos is cartel infested Colombia right now, when it should be a normal American city. This change will make LS become a normal American city. TLDR: Having a gang camp parking lot is fucked and when a squad car pulls up you should all scram (jk, but basically this )
  18. It's funny because it's salty criminals fighting for drug labs that call cops on each other, not civies

    PD and Drug Labs

To my knowledge, there has been no "helicopter with a passenger who uses a heavy sniper to conveniently scout the exact areas of these labs." Due to the stationary locations of the labs, PD has rules that prevent police going to these areas, unless the location is disclosed. To my experience, there are many criminals who probably get salty about getting robbed by some other criminals at the lab and call the police, which leads to the termination of the lab. I believe that you were a part of PD when these rules were implemented. If these helicopter stake outs happen, they are against protocol, unless they are because someone called 911 about the drug lab, or the information was relayed in other ways. Like alexalex303 said, it is because of careless criminals that these locations get discovered. Maybe the respawn timer could be adjusted, but I am fully against a rule/script that only x/5 labs can be destroyed at once.
  20. -1 I believe the Scrapyard is basically a place where you can get cars without license plates. As for licenses/IDs being an inventory item, I believe that it would be abused too often due to the state of Criminal RP. If it was to be implemented, I would like to see heavy detriments for not carrying an ID or a license. If any of you out there think that if the police doesn't ID you, you can walk away with no charges, you're wrong. With a quick google search, you will find that you will be held in custody until you share your personal details that could be checked back to you. Additionally, your facial features, height, weight, and fingerprints can be cross checked to see if you are in any database. IF somehow there is no way of checking your legal details, then you will still be put to jail, but instead of your name, you will be just a number in Department of Corrections database.
  21. +1 I'm in PD and I agree! These gangs need to go down!
