  1. ECLIPSE Server Rule Changelog (06/MAY/2026): Added under Faction Rules (General) Members of a government agencies and companies faction's high command team are expected to maintain a minimum of 5 hours of in-game activity per week. If a high command member is unable to meet this requirement due to real life circumstances, they should communicate this to their faction leadership, where temporary exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis. Persistent failure to meet this expectation without communication may result in removal from their position. Reason: Faction high command members should not occupy positions if they cannot meet the hourly requirements. If this is consistent, they should step down from their position and allow someone who is more active to occupy said position.
  2. Have had a quick skim through, FM are already in the process of revamping some existing labs and we're looking at new locations!
  3. Hey friends, Speaking on behalf of the staff team on this one, we don't close bad labs down - I've shut a few recently and opened alternatives because pre-planned RP opps were scheduled to happen there, I do open the odd extra lab from time to time! There will be some new labs open in the future! Hope this clarifies things! - Lewis
  4. Hello! Happy New Year Criminals can work at Bennys and once employed can do a fair amount of crime (Other than violent stuff) whilst employed. There wasn't a mass firing just a mass removal of people who got caught, who can rejoin in 2 weeks if they stay clean! Also - Bennys stopped hour requirements between xmas and new year so this is a factor, people have been on holiday! We all need to be better criminals

    QOL Changes

I would like to thank everyone for taking their time to respond with some great, positive comments. We will be scheduling a senior meeting to review the suggestions and determine which ideas we'll present to the developers. - Lewis

    QOL Changes

Hey boys So I'm looking to understand what content/activities we could introduce to reduce players fighting players and the overall amount of shoot outs, encourage more player interaction. I am not going to ever agree with the argument that you need script support to roleplay or keep to a lore, sure script support is helpful but everyone (hopefully) has the ability to roleplay, stick to a lore and create natural roleplay opportunities through in-character means. I am not just looking for criminal ideas, I'm talking about civilian and over-all changes which could improve quality of life. Couple of housekeeping rules: - 1. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all 2. This thread will be open for 48 hours 3.. We're not going to add things in on whims, I know and am forever grateful for the suggestions but I'm looking to see up to date suggestions and others in one place. If you want to refer to a specific suggestion, feel free to link it. 4. Stay on topic, this isn't going to be another "backup/crim vs PD thread" 5 Thank you for your participation, positive things only. 6. Please provide examples of things, take your time with replies if possible! 7. These rules can be changed at any time! Life is short, make it sweet. - Lewis
  9. Welcome! Don't let it be too overwhelming, everyone was new once! Just familiarise yourself with our rules & Enjoy!
  10. Hi, thanks for creating this topic. The Government's goal is to be entirely player-run, with Governors (part of server management) stepping in only when necessary. We've made significant progress, with players handling nearly every aspect, including lawmaking (except in extreme RP scenarios requiring an Executive Order). Governors now have more of an oversight role, intervening only during extreme situations, such as if the constitution is stolen. Otherwise, power is delegated among various Government Faction roles. We've also introduced a Chief of Staff role with sufficient IC authority to run the government and act as Governor in our absence. The incident with Weazel News stems from In Character actions. It's important to remember that Weazel is a government-funded news organization, and its leader is appointed by the Government. The vehicles and equipment that Weazel (and other government-funded departments/agencies) use are provided and controlled by the government as part of budget allocation In Character. The situation you are upset about is a result of In Character actions, not OOC motivation; it's a build-up of events. I would love to see more self-sufficient businesses/agencies free from government control, and I fully support script support for this. However, development support can take time as we only have two developers focused on projects. Solomon Cobb and others who have done this in the past/present have done a great job, but I understand it's driven by enthusiasm and interest since there's not much to be gained at the moment. There is also some reference to the "old days," where laws were created by the Chief of Police together with the Governor (singular), there was no Government staff around to create RP scenarios, properties were handed out without a system, and factions struggled to get their requests handled (e.g., equipment requests). The old days were not the Government we intended to keep; it was always meant to expand and become more relevant in the server with players at the spearhead. Today's government is filled with innovative and enthusiastic members. Despite the difficulty in retention due to the paperwork-heavy nature of the RP, we still maintain and have opened up many different RP opportunities for people. I do not run a one-man show in the Government; decisions are made collectively with its members, and I participate in them. I will consider creating a roleplay feedback subforum for GOV where players can submit good and bad feedback similar to what SD has. Until then, please feel free to use our Internal Affairs Reports, as you can submit OOC reports, and no matter who you submit it against (even me), you will get a response from a member of Government, especially if it's an OOC complaint. In the end, if you think that the Government is somehow bad and is ruining the server, and that I'm a bad person who should be impeached, you should reach out to our GREAT founders over Discord. They are more than welcome to review the Government faction and the IC actions that have occurred, as they all have IC context and can be explained. I would like to end with some words of wisdom: it is important that roleplay that occurs in character stays in character. If I got OOC upset every time someone said something about me IC, I probably would be unable to volunteer at Eclipse and might end up needing a psychiatrist. Have a great rest of your week! - Lewis

  12. There's nothing about the script which is unfair towards either side. As said numerous times this could influence game-play.
  13. This is not a bug. Should be dealt with IC.
  14. DM me on discord, I will work with you and the other party to agree a solution moving forward. Please do not post anymore on this bug report, keeping it open to be looked at by a dev
  15. Thanks for the report. This will be voided and we will reimburse the prison fines.
  16. I don't see from the clip how people were struggling to kill him. I think the message above sums up the conclusion to this.
  17. This is approved!
  18. Archived as per the posters request. Please can we all be respectful when making suggestions. Bad mouthing other factions does not provide a positive contribution. I’m not just specifically talking about this thread I’m talking about all future suggestions.
  19. This is not a bug, you were placed into debt because of an IC reason
  20. Can confirm this is indeed a bug
