Or.... off of that, how about Tier 1 gets limited Drug Materials / chop (dependant on lore) then Tier 2 you get guns too and Tier 3 you unlock heavy weaponry and armour. With this, getting Tier 2 should be a quicker process as it's not as huge of a deal without heavy weapon access.

This would complicate matters for both factions, as they'd have to have to keep track off all their members to not order anything besides what would be allowed, and for staff who would have to continously check if these limitations are enforced correctly.

Experience has shown us that this isn't as easy as it sounds for factions to enforce limitations without script support.

Hello! I had another small idea for this.

I know Faction Management has been very adamantly against adding 1:1/special vehicles for factions as they once did in the past, but I would like to propose something perhaps a little different than that.

Factions at tier 2/tier 3 should be able to be given a faction specific vehicle not on the current list of purchasable vehicles within reason. Obviously I do not want to see crazy supercars or batmobiles around every corner, but I believe a faction should be able to get a more permanent reward for their hard work and dedication; as currently they have to exist with decent RP standards for about 5-6 months before even getting tier 2 if they potentially “speed run” it. Faction specific vehicles that aren’t extreme would be a great addition to the server, like for Underground something like dune buggies as it’s a very cheap and easy to craft vehicles since we RP making our own cars, or one of the many motorcycles for Lost, or a more expensive vehicle like a special sports car for groups like OTF and Rooks. I know something FM was worried about was it hurting the economy a little with this and people joining specifically for these vehicles, but a very simple way around this is have them only give those to command members and have them account bound similar to credit vehicles; or just with the stipulation that if they are sold/traded that it would result in a punishment similar to the faction property they receive at later tiers.

    I hope this isn’t met a firm “no” as it has been in the past, because it’s something I think almost every single criminal would want that strives to make the server a fun and healthy environment. Like I said before, and something I want to reiterate very strongly;

I do not want meta vehicles or supers, I just want to see groups get something special to call their own to show off other than clothing when that update happens. None of this would require script work as I believe (head?) admins are allowed to spawn in items/vehicles for events and things, I don’t know if it would be as simple as a vehicle transfer to multiple people though. Not sure of the logistics and technicalities of it all; but I just wanna see us get cool cars, man :c

We will not be giving out vehicles to player factions.

Founders have made it clear that this is something they wanted to step away from.

Furthermore, there would only be so many unique cars remaining. most of these cars that arent in the server haven't been added for a reason. We could look at implementing the dune buggy for dealerships with a future vehicle release/gta update.

Additionally, giving vehicles to people individually would be a nightmare to keep track off and simply not workable. Adding them as a faction vehicle would introduce even more complications as they can only be spawned by people who are on-duty and have a faction parking. This is something player factions dont have and we are also not planning to add.

I dont think anyone disagrees that it'd be better if we could offer rewards that'd require development changes. However I do think it is important that we can offer something that we can actually deliver instead of having to say its something we can look at in the future.

The reason we dont offer a higher faction member cap as a reward is because we do not believe this would improve the faction variety in the server. We believe this would have the opposite effect of that as more people just join an existing faction, get the rewards that they are looking for and don't take the effort to create something unique that'd benefit the server.

Keep in mind that the tier rewards are an extra on top of the "standard rewards" that official status would bring. Most of these tier rewards were not offered prior to the tier system or even during the F4 system prior to official factions and Faction Services as a whole in 2018.

We offer factions, official and non official, the opportunity to create and apply for unique RP opportunities that they can setup themselves with the help of the Event Team and FS, which in turn could further their type of RP.

Feel free to suggest rewards that'd be more of a pat on the back. We are always open for suggestions!

  4. @Marksy Weapon prices will be reviewed with the new gun update that is in the workings.

@Rocky BolognaAt this time we don't believe that shrinking factions is the best move. However, this does not mean we won't consider it in the future.

@MortemWe have discussed the topic of a "black market medic/criminal medic" before. However, to properly introduce this feature we would need some script changes and can't offer it as a tier reward at this time.

@Beet Did you read the original thread?

  5. ((Hello everyone!

Since this was an event that influenced most of the server, we feel that it is necessary to post a final message on how to proceed with your RP surrounding this event.

This RP is now officially over and NLR will go into effect.

This means that Matthew Burns will start roleplaying for the government again unharmed and with no memories of this situation.

We have given the LEO's the opportunity to continue with forensic RP on the remains of Matthew Burns specifically from the 06/JAN 2200UTC until 08/JAN 2200UTC.

From now on this situation must be referred to as the kidnapping and murder of "a government director" instead of "Matthew Burns".))

  6. After discussing this topic further amongst senior staff we have come to the conclusion that our current rules cover this issue sufficiently already and no changes need to be made.

    7. IC and OOC Interactions

Offensive Language, Sexual, Torture, or Disgusting Roleplay

Players are only allowed to engage in sexual, torture, or disgusting roleplay if all players involved including witnesses give prior OOC consent. Such roleplay should therefore not be held in public areas or areas where players commonly visit, e.g., prison/jail.

Usage of ethnic and/or LGBT+ related slurs is considered disgusting roleplay and all parties involved must give prior OOC consent before it can be done. In addition, it must make roleplay sense for your character to want to use any racial slurs In Character.

    Racism Out-of-Character is strictly forbidden.

Players using offensive language excessively In-Character through text or VOIP must stop if a player asks for it Out-of-Character. Players are not permitted to use offensive language Out-of-Character to others.

PzJWQVX.png Punishment: Anything from a warning to a permanent ban, depending on the context, severity, and occurrences.

If a player continues with this kind of behavior after they have been asked to stop, they can be reported to staff who will then deal with the situation.

  7. Hello everyone!

I would like to give a small update on this.

As you are all aware, when I first posted this message we pitched this idea originally as a test and to begin establishing a format for the events. So far, we have done 7 of these events and we are very happy with how things have gone so far and are proud of all the people that have participated.

I would now like to announce that we are moving into the second stage of testing and expanding this event. The second stage consists of involving factions that do not have handlers yet but have made IC relations with the cartel and whom we believe to be positively minded people. This does not mean that every gang who starts out will automatically get an invite to these events nor should they intentionally seek out a relationship so they can participate. However, we have heard your feedback about expanding inclusion and are seeing how we can develop this expansion through IC interactions.

I would like to remind all the gangs who have participated so far and gangs that will join in the future about the following:

What do we absolutely not want to see?

    - We do not want to see these events turn into shootouts between factions or with law enforcement.
    - We do not want to see these events turn into situations where poor RP standards are displayed.
    - What should you do if this turns into a police chase? You can evade the cops all you want though it should not end in a shootout.

Please continue to give feedback as this will help us to improve the experience for everyone.

"Ok" is a very common and informal response that is often used to indicate agreement or understanding. While it may be appropriate in certain situations, such as a casual conversation with friends, it is not an appropriate response to a forum topic.

Forum topics are often discussions of important and complex issues that require careful consideration and thought. "Ok" is simply too casual and insufficient to convey the level of engagement and thought that a forum topic deserves. It does not provide any meaningful contribution to the discussion and does not show that the respondent has put any effort into considering the topic at hand.

Furthermore, a forum is a community of people who are interested in the same subject and want to learn from each other. Responding with "ok" does not show that the respondent has paid attention to the topic or has anything to add to the discussion. It is simply a way of acknowledging that they have read the topic without providing any further insight or perspective.

In short, "ok" is not an appropriate response to a forum topic because it does not show that the respondent has engaged with the topic or has anything valuable to contribute to the discussion. It is too casual and does not convey the level of thought and engagement that a forum topic deserves. A more appropriate response would be to offer a thoughtful and well-reasoned opinion on the topic, backed up by evidence and information. This would show that the respondent has put effort into considering the topic and has something valuable to contribute to the discussion.

Would factions that already have properties just skip over that then?

No. We haven't encountered a situation like this before, but I am confident we could find a solution for that player/faction if this was the case.

ALT RP should be somewhere within the rewards for each Tier.

    Meaning:

    • Tier 2/3 could acquire ALT RP scenarios every 6 months
    • Tier 4/5 could acquire ALT RP scenarios every 3 months.
    • Tier 5/6 could acquire ALT RP scenarios every 2 months.

Every tier can already request altRP every 2 months, we have no intentions to make this longer for factions below a certain tier.

it would be cool to be able to import drugs for resale purpose, you import a bunch and everyone can sell those drugs in larger quantities, and then non gang members can cut those up and sell them to NPC's that randomly walk in the city

We already offer something like this at Tier 5

    - Ability to import rare drugs such as Shrooms and Steroids via LFB/Cartel.

These are drugs that can't be obtained any otherway currently and can be resold by gangs to actual players.

I like your idea, but it would require development work which is why we can't offer it as a tier reward.

    12 hours ago, DeanDolan7 said:

Takes way too long to get Tier 2 imports and one of the main reasons there is only two gangs left that can import.

Tier 1 should be a thing given as soon as you receive handlers. F4 menu is great way to communicate with everybody at once quickly and lowers chance of reports happening.

Tier 2 should take as long as tier 1 takes now like it use to and admins shouldnt be as harsh on deciding if they get it or not like they are now.

It shoudnt take minimum 6 months of your life grinding to possibly gain the ability to order a gun in a game. It is a GAME.

The time required for someone to get official is completely depending on the faction itself. We have had factions go through the tier 1 stage quite quickly where as others needed some more time to be ready for tier 2.

Our tier system is not something scripted, this means that if we give a faction an F4 menu theyll have access to taking over turfs and ordering, this in turn means that Faction Services has to keep an extra eye on all of these factions.
With your reasoning this would mean that you can tell each other to save POV easier with an F4 menu whilst we already allow factions to have a discord where they can send OOC messages to each other.

We mentioned starting in tier 1 or tier 2 in our F.A.Q.

Q: What tier will I start in?
A: A faction will be placed in either Tier 1 or Tier 2 once they recieve official status. This is due to a large number of factors including reviewing how our Official Faction system is working in conjunction with the present amount of factions and server environment. Too many official factions, especially those similar in nature, as well as too few official factions, have different impacts including but not limited to minimizing perks of official status as well as crippling potential criminal roleplay. Because of this, the tier system's starting flexibility is important.

Since at tier 1 we are now going to be in talks with modders regarding custom clothing, I would also love to see custom liveries for the faction be available around lower tiers!

This is definitely something we can look at in the future. At the moment the modding team is still very busy getting the first batch of outfits in the game. Once that process is running smoothly we will look at expanding rewards done by modders.

    - The business licensing reimbursements: Does that apply to their subsidiaries because I know some legal factions have like 10 subsidiaries that arent really part of the faction to spread costs and charge them for it (are they pocketing the difference if so?)
    - A suggestion for legal factions (and maybe illegals) could be access to a SA+ for a little while through requests to do some custom decorating (just a few pieces, not full on renovation) ) at their faction properties given to them with props that are not in furniture store, for example a helipad that Assured has)

    - No, these reimbursements are only for the faction itself. So scripted stores such as general stores, gun stores, dealerships and loan companies will not fall under this, nor will it be for subsidiaries.

    - Nice idea, we will look into it.

    Couple ideas:

Increase in faction members from 40 to 45.

    Decrease heavy weapon import price.

Increase shipment power thats generated on main turf.

A couple Special vehicle imports through cartel.

Higher tiers shouldn't have to wait so long for Alt RP.

    - As we rather see more diverse factions than larger factions, we will keep the faction cap at 40 players for all tiers.

    - We have a discount on everything you can import at tier 7. We have heard your feedback on lowering the prices in general for heavy weapons and prices will change for all weapons with the new gun update. We are unable to give you an ETA for this update.

    - Shipment power should be the same on all of the turfs. This is still a bug that needs to be fixed by devs.

    - We have stopped giving out vehicles as rewards for official status/tier rewards and will not be implementing this.

    - Alt RP is a colaboration between FS and the Event Team. We work on a first come first serve principle. The more complex a request is the longer it will take to prepare everything which can delay other requests aswell. Usually these events can only be done in weekends due to the availability of staff members. If you are refering to the waiting period between requests its due to the work load for the event team as they need to plan and organise their own events and give other people a chance aswell.

22 minutes ago, Melody Frey said:

I know FS/FM is against the idea of giving a vehicle/vehicles for factions, but a faction specific vehicle would be really cool. Maybe not as a permanent thing, but maybe a /fspawn similar to how mechanic factions get? I'm not sure the difficulty of the implementation of it, but would love to see that happen.

This would require development work and is not something we can offer as a tier reward.

    Hello everyone!

A bit over a year ago we made the first announcement to factions about the tier system. At that time Faction Services Management deliberatly chose to not reveal what each tier entails. After hearing your feedback on this for a long period of time, we have now come to the conclusion that this was not the right move on our part and we (FS management) should have approached this better from the beginning.

Because of this we will be giving a full in depth list on what every tier consists of. Hopefully this transparancy will make it easier for you to work with the system.

    Criminal Factions

    Tier 1

    - F4 Menu and Faction chat access.
    - No access to imports.
    - You are not allowed to sell on contested turfs.
    - You may sell on turfs that are not contested.
    - You may not claim/take over turfs. (keep it below 50%). If this does happen on accident your faction handlers need to be informed.
    - A player may leave the faction temporarly to avoid certain selling issues for certain dealers, this must be discussed with Faction Services first.
    - Access to work with the modder team on special faction clothing.

    Tier 2

    - Access to imports.
    - You are allowed to take over turfs from other groups, if that specific area makes RP sense for your gang to be in.
    - You are allowed to claim turfs that are uncontested that make RP sense for your gang.
    - A faction may request a special weapon (within reason) from LFB/Cartel.

    Tier 3

    - A faction will receive a warehouse and a HQ/property. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.

    Tier 4

    - Access to rare import weapons via LFB/Cartel. Your faction will be given a list of weapons which you can then import. This list will be specific to your faction depending on your faction lore.

    Tier 5

    - Second property request. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.
    - Ability to import rare drugs such as Shrooms and Steroids via LFB/Cartel.

    Tier 6

    - Ability to make big orders directly through LFB/Cartel. This will include ingredients, (high-end)weapons, drugs, chop shop equipment and cooking equipment.

    Tier 7

    - 10% discount on orders through LFB/Cartel.

    Legal Player Factions

    Tier 1

    - F4 Menu and Faction Chat access.
    - Access to work with the modder team on special faction clothing.

    Tier 2

    - A faction will receive a warehouse and a HQ/property. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.

    Tier 3

    - Factions may hold events with the help of the Event Team which the faction may profit from. Currently, factions may not profit from the events in which theyll receive help from the Event Team.
    - Factions may request a reimbursement up to 50% for advertisements and blips made through Weazel News for events related to the faction which are in line with their lore. Reimbursement intentions need to be submitted to Faction Guides with event details for approval and following approval, the payment to Weazel News must be shown via an unedited screenshot. All funds must be taken from and deposited back to the faction treasury. Reimbursement will take place following the event.

    Tier 4

    - Second property request. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.
    - Factions may request a reimbursement up to 75% for Business licensing. Reimbursement intentions need to be submitted to Faction Guides with your monthly licensing costs for approval and following approval, the payment to San Andreas State Government must be shown via an unedited screenshot. All funds must be taken from and deposited back to the faction treasury. Reimbursement will take place following the event.

    Tier 5

    - Factions may request a reimbursement up to 25% for events related to their faction/lore which contributes to the community (Such as raffles, event prizes and labour costs). Reimbursement intentions need to be submitted to Faction Guides with event details for approval and following approval, the payments made must be shown via an unedited screenshot. All funds must be taken from and deposited back to the faction treasury. Reimbursement will take place following the event.

Any fraudulent attempts to receive a reimbursement will result in servere consequences.

    F.A.Q.

Q: Will I lose my tier 3 HQ and warehouse if I go down to tier 2?
A: Depending on the severity that caused your demotion, we will give you a period of time in which you will need to improve your faction. If you are unable to do this your HQ and warehouse will be taken away. The same goes for the second property.

Q: How can I get promoted to a higher tier?
A: Faction Services will review all of the official factions on a monthly basis to see if they are ready for a higher tier, if this wont be the case your faction handlers will give you feedback on what you need to improve.
A2: The following list are some examples, but not limited to, of what Faction Services is looking for in factions.
    - Being able to follow your lore.
    - Ability to uphold server rules within the faction.
    - Continue posting regularly on your forum thread that shows what your faction is about.
    - Good activity across faction members.
    - A positive attitude across your faction.
    - Sufficient time spend in the current rank.
    - Plans to further improve your faction.

Q: I dont want to lose a tier, what should I avoid doing?
A: The following list are some examples, but not limited to, of what could get you demoted in rank.
    - Not following your lore.
    - having faction members frequently being punished for rulebreaks.
    - Low forum thread activity.
    - Poor activity across faction members/ Filling out mass LOAs.
    - Having a negative attitude across your faction.
    - Displaying poor RP standards, especially when this is done by command members.

Q: Will I get notified if I am at risk of losing a tier?
A: Generally, you will be notified by your faction guides when you are at risk of losing a tier. However, if for example the faction displays very poor RP, the demotion to a lower tier may be instant.

    Closing comment

We are always looking to improve this sytem and add new rewards for certain tiers. This is why we will also be opening a discussion thread if you have any suggestions or if you think certain tiers should be changed. Keep in mind that these suggested tier rewards should not require development work.

Hello everyone, we hope you are all doing well.

We will be starting with something that will hopefully add some enjoyment for criminal roleplayers. Our plan is to create a car boosting job where you’ll have to steal a parked high value car somewhere on the map and deliver it to LFB/Cartel to get a reward.

    How will this work?

    - Your faction leader or/and HC member will receive a text from LFB with the requested car.

    - All factions will receive this info around the same time. +/- 10 minutes.

    - You are expected to find this car, picklock it and bring it back to a specified player or specified location.

    - The faction/person who delivers the vehicle will be rewarded with packed cash or other rewards. (We are open for suggestions on this matter)

    Who is allowed to participate?

    - Every criminal roleplayer is allowed to participate and turn in the vehicle. However, only factions with handlers will receive the information.

    When will this be?

    - As this will be new for all of us, we will be testing when to do this and how often. For now we are aiming for once or twice a week, mostly around the busiest times on the server. (around 1900 and 2200 UTC).

What do we expect from factions?

    - We expect to see teamwork within the faction or between factions to find this vehicle.

    Side notes:

    - As this will be setup without any development changes, the staff team will have to work with the tools that are available to us now. This can cause some "continuity issues" in the forms of the car being registered to the person who you are supposed to deliver it to. We do want to mention that these "boost job" cars will not be registered to that person ICly. (We are eager to hear your feedback on this!)

    - As these are non scripted events, the availability of staff will determine when and how often these events will be. We know this is not optimal for some players however we would like to ask for your understanding in this matter.

Keep in mind that this will be a trial for the whole server. If things do not go well, we will not continue with this idea. Any faction or player that is not adhering to what is written above may face consequences.

  16. Hello and thank you for sharing your concerns regarding this topic.

We do feel that our change where factions have to stick to the areas their lore places them, is the right way forward and will continue to do so. That being said, we can understand that you'd like some more turfs to expand into. We have been adding turfs step by step over the past 7 months, placing them where we see them most needed and will continue to do so.

I'd like to clarify that Faction Services never told Royals that they are limited to the turfs they currently own and are allowed to contest neighbouring turfs with sufficient reason.

Faction Services is planning to rework the old war system (which is not currently in use) completely and redesign it around attacking, holding and winning turfs in a controlled and enjoyable way for all parties.
