Faction Services Tier Sytem Explained

Hello everyone!

A bit over a year ago we made the first announcement to factions about the tier system. At that time Faction Services Management deliberatly chose to not reveal what each tier entails. After hearing your feedback on this for a long period of time, we have now come to the conclusion that this was not the right move on our part and we (FS management) should have approached this better from the beginning.

Because of this we will be giving a full in depth list on what every tier consists of. Hopefully this transparancy will make it easier for you to work with the system.

Criminal Factions

Tier 1

- F4 Menu and Faction chat access.
- No access to imports.
- You are not allowed to sell on contested turfs.
- You may sell on turfs that are not contested.
- You may not claim/take over turfs. (keep it below 50%). If this does happen on accident your faction handlers need to be informed.
- A player may leave the faction temporarly to avoid certain selling issues for certain dealers, this must be discussed with Faction Services first.
- Access to work with the modder team on special faction clothing.

Tier 2

- Access to imports.
- You are allowed to take over turfs from other groups, if that specific area makes RP sense for your gang to be in.
- You are allowed to claim turfs that are uncontested that make RP sense for your gang.
- A faction may request a special weapon (within reason) from LFB/Cartel.

Tier 3

- A faction will receive a warehouse and a HQ/property. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.

Tier 4

- Access to rare import weapons via LFB/Cartel. Your faction will be given a list of weapons which you can then import. This list will be specific to your faction depending on your faction lore.

Tier 5

- Second property request. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.
- Ability to import rare drugs such as Shrooms and Steroids via LFB/Cartel.

Tier 6

- Ability to make big orders directly through LFB/Cartel. This will include ingredients, (high-end)weapons, drugs, chop shop equipment and cooking equipment.

Tier 7

- 10% discount on orders through LFB/Cartel.

Legal Player Factions

- F4 Menu and Faction Chat access.

Tier 3

- Factions may hold events with the help of the Event Team which the faction may profit from. Currently, factions may not profit from the events in which theyll receive help from the Event Team.
- Factions may request a reimbursement up to 50% for advertisements and blips made through Weazel News for events related to the faction which are in line with their lore. Reimbursement intentions need to be submitted to Faction Guides with event details for approval and following approval, the payment to Weazel News must be shown via an unedited screenshot. All funds must be taken from and deposited back to the faction treasury. Reimbursement will take place following the event.

Tier 4

- Second property request. Do keep in mind that these buildings are given to use for your official faction. This means that no person may sell these buildings and they will be taken away when you lose official status.

F.A.Q.

Q: What tier will I start in?
A: A faction will be placed in either Tier 1 or Tier 2 once they recieve official status. This is due to a large number of factors including reviewing how our Official Faction system is working in conjunction with the present amount of factions and server environment. Too many official factions, especially those similar in nature, as well as too few official factions, have different impacts including but not limited to minimizing perks of official status as well as crippling potential criminal roleplay. Because of this, the tier system's starting flexibility is important.

Q: Will I lose my tier 3 HQ and warehouse if I go down to tier 2?
A: Depending on the severity that caused your demotion, we will give you a period of time in which you will need to improve your faction. If you are unable to do this your HQ and warehouse will be taken away. The same goes for the second property.

Q: How can I get promoted to a higher tier?
A: Faction Services will review all of the official factions on a monthly basis to see if they are ready for a higher tier, if this wont be the case your faction handlers will give you feedback on what you need to improve.
A2: The following list are some examples, but not limited to, of what Faction Services is looking for in factions.
- Being able to follow your lore.
- Ability to uphold server rules within the faction.
- Continue posting regularly on your forum thread that shows what your faction is about.
- Good activity across faction members.
- A positive attitude across your faction.
- Sufficient time spend in the current rank.
- Plans to further improve your faction.

Q: I dont want to lose a tier, what should I avoid doing?
A: The following list are some examples, but not limited to, of what could get you demoted in rank.
- Not following your lore.
- having faction members frequently being punished for rulebreaks.
- Low forum thread activity.
- Poor activity across faction members/ Filling out mass LOAs.
- Having a negative attitude across your faction.
- Displaying poor RP standards, especially when this is done by command members.

Q: Will I get notified if I am at risk of losing a tier?
A: Generally, you will be notified by your faction guides when you are at risk of losing a tier. However, if for example the faction displays very poor RP, the demotion to a lower tier may be instant.

Closing comment

We are always looking to improve this sytem and add new rewards for certain tiers. This is why we will also be opening a discussion thread if you have any suggestions or if you think certain tiers should be changed. Keep in mind that these suggested tier rewards should not require development work.
