  1. It was a quiet day on Hawick Avenue - a usual hangout street for many organizations in the city, including the Torelli Crime Family and The Underground. Approached suddenly by his old boss Melody Frey, Vince was asked to visit the Frey Bakery down the street, to see the new interior. Delighted, he complimented Melody on her excellent interior decorating skills. However, her parting message was one he would never forget: "Remember that brown mouse mask of mine I gave you? You might want to start wearing it again." Vince was given an offer too good to refuse - merge the Torelli Family with The Underground, and be assured a position of high command under Melody, with a focus on business and high class affairs. After considering the wishes of his family, and more importantly, his fiancee Grace Adams, it was clear that only one option remain - join The Underground. It was obvious to people on the street that the Italian Mafia was back in the city; but this time, it came in PINK. Example of an "Italian Rat" Upon completing the merger, Vince Torelli, alongside Ryan Frey, were given an introduction into the world of Underground high command. On a sunny afternoon on March 11th, they were brought out by Melody to the Hill Valley Church in Vinewood, to partake in the clandestine initiation ceremony. As Melody said, oaths were for capitalists, except one - to never repeat what was seen at the initiation. LSPD surveillance photo of the initiation, c. March 2022 A small bag containing around twenty human hearts was placed on the ground below their feet. The hearts of twenty or so members of The Underground who came before but failed. Perhaps it would become a snack of the mysterious "sewer rat" that allegedly caused the shutdown of the city's underbelly. Whatever might become of the remains, it was clear that repeating what was witnessed at the meeting would jeopardize the safety of everyone in attendance. How the members died is unknown, but to possess this plethora of human meat would be equitable to murder in the eyes of the law. It was vital that their mouths remained closed. LSPD surveillance photo of Underground members leaving the initiation ceremony, c. March 2022 That day, Vince became a made man. Not necessarily inducted into an Italian organization, but into his true family on the west coast - La Nostra Rodentia. While the Torelli Family would exist in name and de jure presence around the city, the golden age of playing the criminal world 20th century-style was over. James Torelli, Jr. in New Jersey knew that evolution comes from adaptation, and that this merger would be the most viable option to preserve the presence of the mafia in Los Santos. It was the age of ratty Italians, and the figurehead was none other than Vince Torelli. As for how long he can maintain the hustle is yet to be revealed, but if his hard work and dedication brought about by his tough Sicilian blood can say anything, it's that Vince won't go down without a fight, and won't go into the future without friends.
  2. The first few weeks of the Torelli Family's presence in Los Santos were marked with slow wait and anticipation for change. While it was true that the Italians were back in Los Santos, making that reality last into the future would take effort and a passion for supremacy in the criminal underworld. Don Vince Torelli couldn't do it alone, and luckily, two prospective lieutenants with a talent for crime and Italian-American culture had piqued his interest - Bugsy Benito and Diego Gonzel. The history of the Benito Crew is cloudy to outsiders. Having been in Los Santos for several years, the organization is led by the elusive Bugsy Benito - a man of high taste in fashion, cars and criminality. An icon of reverence to his friends, and of fear to his enemies, he is a man of honor lost in a time of gangbangers and fast paced crime. However, he is a man skilled at adaptation, and much like how he must adapt his methods to survive in the 21st century, he must also adapt himself to the historic methods of the Torelli Family. Approached by Vince Torelli on the Del Perro Pier, a popular hangout spot for the community, a small meeting took place between Vince and the men of the Benito Crew. They were given an offer - join the Torelli Family and be recognized as an independent crew. Knowing that the survival of Italian-Americans in the city depended upon union and solidarity rather than bitterness and war, the Benito Crew happily accepted Vince's offer. Soon, they would be getting their hands dirty in the art of "modern shopping" - hitting stores like clockwork and letting the people of Los Santos know that the mafia's brutal presence in the city was far from over. Another prospective caporegime was Diego Gonzel. Like Bugsy, his past is shrouded in mystery, aside from the fact that his blood is Sicilian. He needed to reconnect with the Cosa Nostra, and after some time as a free agent, he happily accepted Vince's offer to join the family as a caporegime. Contradictory to Bugsy, the methods of Diego revolve around heavy secrecy. His endeavors rest not in the gun alone, but also in the pen - he is a businessman at heart. A businessman who knows that success requires bloodshed, and who is not afraid to spill some when the times need it. A man of both high integrity and a will for getting the job done, Diego was pleased to become the newest caporegime in the Torelli Family.
  3. Coming out of relative fear for whether or not his noble idea for a new Italian organization in the city would have any kind of promising future, Don Vince Torelli, who was talking a nice walk in scenic Vespucci Beach, was contacted by an old friend with a proposition. Bring her in to the organization, and gain incredible knowledge on the inner workings of Los Santos' underworld. This old friend was none other than Misha McQueen, a former member of Rising Suns and a historic friend of the family. Although not an Italian-American, Vince knew that Misha's skills in criminality and organizational management would be a very needed asset in the weeks to come. A long-tenured and very effective woman, Misha is known for getting a job done. She never has to pick up the pieces after a job, because she never leaves any. Arguably one of the most notorious female criminals in the city, her rap sheet is nearly as long as her aim with a .50, and even the most feared tough guys know that when Misha's on the block, your only option is to step aside, with respect. Later that day, Vince made contact with another old friend, though not one he had ever met before. A different kind of friend, who knew Vince not through acquaintance, but through the family business: Joe Benito, of the Benito family. These Sicilian paisanos knew the trade, and according to Joe, are coming back to Los Santos after a long stint in the can. Originally wanting to restart their own business, Vince made them an offer - join the Torelli Family, and their boss would be instantly given the rank of caporegime. Joe supported this idea, though the main person Vince would need to speak to is Bugsy - a very mysterious but knowledgeable man and Don of the Benito family. Only time will tell for Don Vince if Bugsy supports the idea. If so, around seven new faces in the society of the chosen could be seen around Los Santos, and hopefully, you'll live long enough to see their faces a second time.

  5. Founded in 1927 by Sicilian immigrant James Torelli of Messina, the Torelli Family has conducted itself for nearly one-hundred years on one principal: family comes first, money comes second. In the early 2020s, the administration on the east coast needed eyes in the west. Fearing a civil war between the already existing Shoreside Crew from California and the New Jersey faction, James Torelli, Jr. elected to establish a new outfit in southern San Andreas. With reliable western contacts few and far between for James Jr., his last resort lay in his own son - Vince Torelli. In February '22, Vince Torelli (who was part of The Underground at the time) was contacted by James Jr. and instructed to establish this outfit in Los Santos. Money needed to be made, and more importantly, connections. Fearing a loss of political influence on the west coast, James Jr. is counting on Vince to shift the power back from the hands of the Shoreside Crew and into the traditional keepers in New Jersey. Armed with only moral support from his close associates and the Sicilian determination to succeed, Vince knows that survival will depend upon the unity of as many able-bodied Italian-Americans in Los Santos as he can find, and that becoming the next Don of the Golden State is within reach - it's only a matter of how far he's willing to go for it. The leader of the Torelli Family. The second-in-command of the Torelli Family. The underboss runs the day-to-day operations and manages the caporegimes. Typically collects the kickback from the caporegimes. The advisor to the boss. A close and personal friend of the family, who can represent the boss during meetings on both sides of the law. Handles accounting and distribution of the kickback. The boss of a crew. Manages their soldiers and reports directly to the underboss. Orchestrates criminal operations and kicks up a percentage of the crew's earnings to the underboss. A made member of the family, serving in a crew. Reports directly to their caporegime. Untouchable by another member of the Cosa Nostra unless approved by the boss. Unmade prospective members and non-Italians who serve in a crew, or are allied with the family. Members of the Torelli crime family are expected to accurately roleplay their style choices in cars and clothing based on their rank and their character's financial status (story-wise). While we're fans of classic Godfather cars and 1970s land-yachts, be reminded that this organization exists in 2022. It's up to your own merit as a roleplayer to style your character in a way that is both realistic and fun, though we ask you to consider your time, place and character's tastes and status before you make a final decision. We bank on the idea of being recognized for our actions, not our clothing. We will not push colors or uniforms. Our plan is to compensate for this by showing a high degree of Italian-American mafia roleplay and leading by storytelling example, NOT by GTA Online-esque unrealistic gang-banger tactics. If you need help on how to properly roleplay this kind of character, here are some tips: Caporegimes and high command are likelier to drive classic collector cars and wear super expensive suits due to their status and financial state within the family. Soldatos depend on making appearances. More senior members may drive luxury brands such as Enus's or Albany's, where as younger members may drive cheaper, more efficient cars. Older, higher earning soldatos may wear suits and leather blazers to keep up an appearance of opulence, where as younger, developing members may opt for something more practical, such as a tracksuit or a shirt and tie. We won't tell you what to wear, only that you show consideration and awareness for realism in the setting your story is taking place in. CURRENTLY FINDING NEW LOCATION DUE TO OWNERSHIP DISPUTES Another vital aspect of the Torelli Family is our turf. Currently, we plan to congregate collectively in and around Al Dente's Restaurant on Aguja Street in Vespucci Beach. Due to our nature as a high class organization, we won't push a neighborhood violently as our own. Instead, we will consider the south side of Vespucci Beach as our home, and will consider the West Side of the city as our comfort zone. We won't have any personal business on the East Side, and we ask all members to find some kind of residency on the West Side of Los Santos. Each caporegime will have the opportunity to choose their own headquarters, though the main family hangout spot will remain at Al Dente's. We are also a specifically city-based organization. Unless under special circumstance, we will strive to NOT go up north, and attempt to limit our presence to the urban areas of the map. Al Dente's Ristorante Italiano - Aguja Street, Vespucci Beach, Los Santos To be a made man, your character must be Italian-American, native Sicilian or native Italian. High ranking roles and group admission can be assigned to non-Italians at the discretion of the boss only. These are typically people who are long-time friends of the family and extremely talented in their fields. To be made, your character must swear by the OMERTÁ during the initiation process, though informant and betrayal RP will be embraced if done in a realistic fashion. A traditional, independent and self-sufficient style for crews is expected. The capos are their own bosses. There won't be a gang-wide radio frequency unless on special occasions. Kickbacks (payments), currently in the form of percentages, will be expected in this organization - paid up the line. Soldier to capo, capo to underboss, underboss to boss. All members are asked to maintain a high level of realism and authenticity with your character's story. We expect characters to embrace and build further upon their Italian heritage. Criminal roleplay isn't required for all members, but encouraged. We strive to be more of a business-oriented, high class organization of Italians. Family first, money second. Careless, street-gang criminal roleplay and a "clap crew" mentality will NOT be tolerated under ANY circumstance. All members are asked to follow a moral code. Individual robberies are allowed EXCEPT against an allied or neutral organization. We want to build bridges, not burn them. We strive to bring a realistic, yet aesthetically pleasing Italian-American mafia roleplay to EclipseRP. We ask you to consider this in your clothing and car choices. For example, a handful of members driving classy, Godfather-esque cars is great - but a whole organization in 1920s cars and trench coats is unrealistic for 2022. We hope to maintain secrecy and limited police awareness. Must have at least 20,000 experience to become a member. Must show incredible skill in roleplaying before all else, especially through /me and /do. Must be creative and able to tell a good story. You should never feel bored and unable to make a narrative. Must show an interest in the organization for Italian-American mafia roleplay purposes. We DO NOT tolerate GTA Online mentality (e.g., more focus on money than RP). Must be willing to follow server rules at ALL TIMES and take instruction from admins. Must be willing to treat admin punishments as an opportunity to grow, not as defeat. We DO NOT tolerate OOC toxicity. What happens in the city stays in the city. Have fun!
  6. Nice to see more Italian representation in the city. Keep it up!
  7. This one was a lot of fun!
  8. "You are the way and the wayfarers. And when one of you falls down, he falls for those behind him, a caution against the stumbling stone. Aye, and he falls for those ahead of him, who, though faster and surer of foot, yet removed not the stumbling stone." - Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet "Birth." Newark, New Jersey. 1987. Vincent James Torelli was born into a household wrought with moral decay, veiled under secrecy and fear. His family's involvement in the North Jersey Cosa Nostra was kept hidden during Vince's early years. He was a child of the nineties, and the RICO predicates had delivered a clear and blistering blow to his grandfather, James. It was obvious to those who experienced it, that the golden years of the American mafia were over; shot dead suddenly and buried shallow, in the event that, one day, it could be dug up once more, to produce forth its stink upon those who come upon its rotted cadaver. It wasn't brought up at the dinner table. It wasn't ever mentioned directly. The Cosa Nostra hung over them like an inherited, genetic disease for many in the Torelli household. Like a diagnosis of cancer, it was more a black jacketed topic of solemnness and pity, than the status of pride and arrogance it was, less than ten years prior. Vince wasn't lied to, when he was curious. He knew his grandfather was in prison on RICO indictments. He knew his father was connected. However, he never asked directly. He never took it as a thing of pride, yet he never took it as a thing to be fearful of. It was part of him, and as he aged, he simply lived with it. "College." Columbia University, New York City. 2005. Vince ascended into the Ivy League, no doubt thanks to his father's many "friends" in New York. Life was looking up for the young Vince, despite it not looking in the direction he had hoped. Dreaming, his entire life, of being an astronomer, he dared not challenge his father's wishes for him to eventually work among the many millionaires of Wall Street. No matter the trial, Vince knew that with his girlfriend Abigail by his side, nothing could stop him from success. By late-2005, Vince was secured a full time position at Faraday Securities Corporation, located high up within 100 Wall Street. As he progressed through university, so did his portfolio. Married in 2007. A father to a daughter and a son in 2008. A Master of Business Analytics in 2011. His family thrived in North Caldwell. He drove an Albany V-STR. He was successful, but he was unhappy. He wasn't an astronomer. "Security." Wall Street. 2014. Rumors swirled that year, 2014, about outsourcing. Faraday Securities Corporation was in turbulence. Vince began drinking to get drunk, spending many lonely nights zoned out and alone among friends in the Carpe Diem bar in Hoboken. His wife was less concerned with wealth, and more concerned with his happiness. He didn't belong where he was. He wanted to move to Colorado. He never did. By August, Vince's position was targeted in the outsource. Cheaper analytical staff could be found overseas. By November, Vince was bleeding money. His wife was disgusted with him. He knew he was about to lose everything, as he sat within a house he could no longer afford. "Loss." Newark. 2016. Vince had sold most of his assets to afford those he actually kept. However, after a night of arguing with Abigail, the action of throwing a wine glass at her was justification enough for her to file a divorce, and win with flying colors. Alcoholism. Domestic abuse. Marijuana usage. To a jury, Vince was a bad husband, and an even worse father. A danger to himself, and obviously to his own children. By 2017, all that was left in Vince's life was a Toyota and enough will to work odd jobs to satisfy his lust for Jack Daniel's. Many a horny night was spent on the internet. Never a night was spent in the arms of a woman who loved him. "Freelancer." Alcoholics Anonymous. 2021. A wealthy sponsor in Vince's AA group signed him up for a two-month long furlough in a rehab facility in the sunny city of Los Santos. On a bus bound for the land of milk and honey, he arrived one late summer's night, and immediately went to work as a garbage hauler for a company based out of El Burro. Many lonely nights were spent as the sole driver of a route from El Burro to Del Perro, idolizing the rich and the successful members of Los Santos' high society. Clad in a polyester, weatherproof poncho and beaten up jeans, Vince swore to himself that one day, he would be like them. After several cases of harassment on the job, Vince acquired a gun from a man named Tyrone. A chance encounter at the Pacific Standard bank. However, Vince was robbed of the gun shortly after. Knowing he couldn't turn to the police, Vince embraced, in his small, pathetic way, his status as a criminal. As the weeks rolled on, Vince became less concerned with sobriety and more concerned with survival. He eventually stopped showing up to the AA meetings altogether, instead opting to drive up to Paleto Bay. He met a mysterious figure by the name of 'David the angel', who showed Vince how to grow marijuana in several public growing spots up north. Vince also met a lady named Charlie Bankshot, who would go on to show him the politics of the region. Robbed at gunpoint by the lab-rolling gangs of Blaine County, Vince added to his trade the art of car theft, breaking into the parking lot of a mechanic in Paleto and stealing cars right from under their noses. This is how he first wound up in the county jail. However, Vince knew the risk far outweighed the reward, and if he were to make any money, he'd need to join an organization. By chance, he met a man named Christoph Wellerman. A suit-donning and clean shaven fellow, he had an aura of leadership about him, as he rambled on about various subtle topics of criminality. Vince was determined to work for Wellerman. "The Underground." Del Perro Pier. October 2021. In early October 2021, a cancer awareness gala was held on the Del Perro pier. Vince picked up a random hitchhiker, and the two set off to the event. Upon arrival, it was filled to the brim with individuals wearing pink. On the far side of the pier was Wellerman, Charlie and a mysterious lady in pink camouflage. This lady would come to be known as Melody Frey, the leader of an anarchist organization known simply as The Underground. Seeking employment, Vince began to work for this group, which identified itself with pink clothes and cars. Vince's first murder was that of a clown on Mischief Night. As he sat on the beach sands, cutting up the clown, he knew that his choice to enter into this life was permanent. He was a criminal. He embraced this. Later that month, Vince and David the angel were robbed in Paleto. Vince was shot at three times with a .50 pistol. The rounds were deflected by the car's metal, which sent shrouds of lead, glass and metal deep into Vince's skull. By the time the doctors removed it from his frontal lobe, they concluded that enough had already seeped into Vince's blood to blind him. They also said that what couldn't be removed, deep within his head, would lead to his own death from lead poisoning in a maximum of three years. The next few weeks were spent committing petty crimes, or chasing after the daughters of Misha McQueen with his friend and co-member, Sean O'Malley. Misha was actually the woman who inspired Vince to leave The Underground, as she told of the moral corruption of Melody, and her apathy towards her own members. And leave is exactly what Vince did. Initially wanting to join a band of Italian heist men, he opted instead to join a loose collective of Mexicans who robbed stores, and eventually targeted Melody. By mid-December, the group was in tatters, and it was obvious to Vince that he made the wrong choice. He sold them out to Melody, in exchange for forgiveness. "Grace." Del Perro. January 2022. Vince's life was back on track. He was earning regularly with The Underground. He still lacked a basic human component to survival - companionship. Vince encountered Grace Adams, who joined The Underground during Vince's hiatus. By chance, the two fell for each other, during a night of sightseeing at the Kortz Center, on a chilly winter's night. January 28th, to be exact. For the next several weeks, the two lovers would share their lives together. They'd fish at the Del Perro pier, or cuddle at their borrowed apartment, reveling in their mutual hatred of existence and melancholy. Grace was a widow from Arizona, who became a car mechanic in Los Santos. She was 27, at the time. Eventually, an FBI investigation into the kidnapping and murder of a prison guard forced Vince and Grace to leave The Underground. Instead of laying low, Vince was contacted by his father and given the blessing to establish a small crew of Italian store-heisters, based out of Del Perro. In mid-March, Vince proposed to Grace on the Chumash pier. Too poor to afford a ring, the pair instead swapped their cheap, beaten up wristwatches. The short-lived crew was eventually absorbed back into The Underground, at the beckoning command of Grace. However, even within The Underground, Vince wasn't making enough money to support the couple. Grace repeatedly bought him cars and clothes, leading to ridicule from members of the organization. Grace, indeed, was the one with the full-time job as a mechanic, paying for a house in Eclipse Towers that overlooked the city. Vince was still a lowly street thug, barely making enough to pay for a BurgerShot meal, and constantly being bailed out of jail by Grace. It caught up to Vince. On April 11, the couple separated, and Vince was kicked out of their apartment. Alone again, Vince was broken and without a tribe. He couldn't stay in The Underground, for as long as Grace was there. He had to move on. He had to find a new home. "Benny Diamonds." Mission Row. May 2022. Vince's initial time directly after the breakup was spent either in bars, or sulking about Grace. He also stalked her. However, fate would blow in Vince's favor when, by chance, he entered into a diamond store one late-May afternoon. May 7th, to be exact. He encountered a man named Benjamin, who quickly inducted him into a shadowy Italian-American community, unseen by the public. He was introduced to a man named Villione, and was tasked with chopping cars. Vince's birthright had finally found him, once more. Vince was about to enter head-first into the Cosa Nostra. The next few months were spent slowly working his way up the food chain. Members of the family would come and go. Benny, shot twice in the head. John, coming to take his place. Death became an accepted part of his new lifestyle. "Chloe." Pillbox Hill. July 2022. Vince received a call, late one night, from a girl he happened to meet outside of a beauty shop in Del Perro. Her name was Chloe Hill. She was out of friends. She needed one. The two soon bonded, before they found themselves madly in love. Much like Grace, the two became closest when sharing their troubles with life. However, unlike Grace, Vince and Chloe were united in the fact that they were ill. Chloe, a schizophrenic with early-onset Parkinson's, and Vince, a depressed loner with lead poisoning and frequent strokes. Vince and Chloe's love was real and unconditional. They knew they were both heavily aware of their mortality and frailty. Might as well die within the company of someone you love. The two became engaged on July 31. Vince stole Chloe's engagement ring from Benny's old shop. "On Record." Mission Row. August 2022. Vince was put on record into the Italian coalition by John on August 6th. Chloe was impregnated by Vince, that same day. On August 7th, Chloe was taken from Vince's life, in the middle of the night, by men in white suits. She was taken to a psychiatric facility in upstate San Andreas. Vince is once again alone, in his day to day life. His thirty-fifth birthday approaches quickly. He's broke, and he needs to make money. This is the story of Vince Torelli.
  9. Hi, I'd like for my name to be changed from "Tiny Dog" to "Vince Torelli" please.
  10. "You are the way and the wayfarers. And when one of you falls down, he falls for those behind him, a caution against the stumbling stone. Aye, and he falls for those ahead of him, who, though faster and surer of foot, yet removed not the stumbling stone." - Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet Prologue New York City - 1987 to 2013 Vince Torelli was born on November 19th, 1987 in Newark, New Jersey. The son of Torelli crime family heir apparent James Torelli, Jr., Vince grew up as the youngest male child in the family. Vince was born in a time when mobsters were all the rage across the Hudson - the era of the likes of John Gotti and Carmine Ferrone. A time battered by the threat of nuclear war, where crack cocaine was as much of a deadly, incurable disease as the illness that swept Africa. A time and place where the thirst for capital gains wasn't bought; it was inherited. Vince grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey, mostly sheltered from the work of his father. In this time of his early childhood, Vince's grandfather, James Torelli, Sr. was under constant scrutiny from federal authorities as part of Ronald Reagan's RICO crackdowns. His incarceration in 1993 further added to Vince's hopeful civilian path in life. His older brothers and sisters knew of the criminal side, and it was Vince's blindness to that criminal life that prompted James Torelli, Jr. to seek out a legal line of work for Vince. Mischievous as a child, Vince's mischief grew further in his teenage years. The turbulent early 2000s were a time of great freedom for Vince. He met his future wife Abigail Robinson in middle school, with their great friendship soon turning romantic. Although during this time Vince had no criminal convictions, rumors suggest Vince, Abigail and others were frequently engaged in petty general mischief, such as parking a car on the roof of his school, or destroying the school's water pipe network for fun. As a youngster, Vince dreamed of becoming an astronomer. He would spend long hours studying the sky, drawing star charts on old steakhouse mats, showing a particular interest in the Zeta Reticuli star system. However, as college approached and pressure from his father grew, Vince knew astronomy was most likely going to be merely a dream. Pressured by his father into getting a legal job, Vince was thrust into Columbia University in 2005 to pursue degrees in the financial world. During college later that year, Vince was secured a permanent position in Faraday Security, an investment firm on Madison Avenue. In late 2007, he married Abigail. In 2008, Vince and Abigail had two children, Ryan and Josephine. As a very busy man balancing school and professional work, Vince rarely had time to spend with his children. In 2009, James Torelli died and his son, James Jr. assumed the role as full boss of the Torelli crime family. Vince earned a Master's in Business Analytics in 2011, and became a full-time employee of Faraday soon after. The early 2010s were a time of great joy for Vince's house, as his mobster blood was kept distant, there was a plethora of money rolling in due to his talent, and with school done, he had plenty of time to spend with his children. Despite not being able to follow his dreams of astronomy, Vince lived a life of luxury. He owned an Albany V-STR, lived in a large house in Caldwell, New Jersey; his wife was happy, his children were happy, and most importantly, his father was happy. Loss New Jersey - 2014 to 2016 The company ran into turbulence starting in 2013. Several new companies on Wall Street began stealing the business of Faraday, with budget cuts and potential layoffs expected. Vince remained in relative comfort, due in part to his great skills as a data analyst, but more so because of his father's influence. However, by late 2014, Faraday had no other choice than to outsource Vince's high-paying job to a foreign data analyst, and due to the high-profile nature of the case, his father couldn't challenge this decision. Vince was stranded with no income. In order to save money, Vince had to sell the mansion and cars. By mid 2015, tensions between him and Abigail grew, especially as no hope for future employment was found on the horizon. Vince turned to alcoholism, which ate through monthly spending allowances. When the relationship between Abigail and Vince grew violent, she filed for divorce in 2016, and used an incident of Vince throwing a wine glass at her to claim domestic abuse and secure the large majority of the family's assets, leaving Vince with virtually nothing. Living jobless in a medium-grade apartment building in Newark, Vince was allowed very minimal time to see the children, who at times refused to go with Vince. Depressed and nearing bankruptcy, Vince drifted from bar to bar, blowing what little money he had left on booze, in an attempt to wash away his past. By early 2017, Vince was so in debt that he lost his apartment and was forced to live day to day homeless on the streets of north Jersey, going from one YMCA to the next, working occasional security jobs. This is how he spent the next three years. He soon joined Alcoholics Anonymous. In 2020, Vince completed a twelve step program and became sober. However, he had frequent relapses. In 2021, Vince's sponsor, a wealthy and genial middle-aged man, got him a voucher for a special rehab getaway in Los Santos, San Andreas. Hopes and Fears Los Santos - July to October 2021 Arriving by plane in Los Santos, Vince was taxied to the bus depot in the heart of the city, on a warm night in July, 2021. An equal contrast and similarity to New Jersey, Vince was overwhelmed with the sights and sounds of a living metropolis - a beast whose lifeblood fed on the emotions of man. He could feel the beautiful amber lights were a mask for something deeper, something more sinister. As he made his way to the DMV to get registered in the state of San Andreas, Vince couldn't shake the feeling, as he wandered through a quiet south side of the city. Minutes turned to hours as Vince forsook pleasure for survival. Hours turned to days as Vince forsook survival for the dollar. He found a steady source of income in waste management, and his late hours of work left him in a dead city. Many late summer nights Vince would spend as the sole garbage man in the city, driving the same lonely route from La Mesa to Vinewood, interrupted only by the rare rival driver or mean-eyed denizen. After several violent altercations with rival drivers, Vince felt the need to arm and protect himself. By sheer luck, he found a man named Tyrone near the bank, who was able to trade him a .50 caliber pistol for essentially all of Vince's lowly wages. The feeling of security was short-lived, however. When Vince tried test-firing the gun at the garbage station, two men in black on a bike descended from the hills and followed Vince for miles on the freeway, claiming to be police. Eventually, under threat of death, Vince pulled to the side, where he was beaten and robbed of the gun. Knowing that calling the police would incriminate Vince as well, he embraced his status as a criminal and went about doing garbage runs, depressed and anxious. The months rolled by in monotony, until the endless grind and poverty prompted Vince to turn to criminality. Forsaking his sobriety camp in about September, Vince began making drives up north, where he would harass the local population for info regarding crimes. One such man, David The Angel, took to kindness regarding Vince, and showed him how to chop cars and run labs. In the era of the Goblins, making drugs was a feat that Vince tried desperately to overcome, at the price of many haircuts and coats. However, Vince persisted. On days when making drugs was too difficult, Vince would instead try and steal cars from Bayview, earning a bad reputation as the "Bayview Caper" during the early autumn months. With most of his time spent hanging around Bayview, Vince would later meet Charlie Bankshot, a known local hood who showed Vince the different labs. A few weeks later, Vince would meet Cristoph Wellerman by offering to give the man a ride from Paleto to city parking. During early October, Vince tried desperately to find and contact Wellerman about potentially joining his circle of associates. Pretty in Pink Los Santos - October to November 2021 On October 19, a cancer awareness gala was held on the Del Perro pier - a location Vince had never been before. After a long days work in Paleto, Vince had picked up a random drifter who wanted to attend the party, whose only request is that the guests wear pink. Not fully realizing the power of this color, and also due to his poverty, Vince did not wear pink. However, after mingling with the crowd, Vince spots Charlie Bankshot on the far side of the pier, talking with several other folks, most in pink. Among them include Cristoph Wellerman and Melody Rogers, an up-and-coming anarchist gangster and supposed ringleader of the "people in pink." After asking for employment in their organization, Charlie said to wait a day or two. Vince obliged, and after a few days, he called Charlie and asked to be recruited. After scouting for a failed bank job, Vince was later tasked by Melody to find and grow 250-some-odd weed plants, to be delivered to a lieutenant named "Ace." Falling short of the intended number, Vince's fast solo work earned him recruitment into the organization known as "The Underground." As the weeks passed by, Vince would proudly wear pink, but mostly fish on the pier. In between robbing and being robbed, Vince simply tried to exist, and did so with the help of his wonderful friends in pink. On October 30, Vince's Mischief Night on the pier was interrupted by a violent man in a clown mask. Knowing help would soon arrive, Vince radioed in to Underground, and soon, the entire beach was filled with pink-clad bandits on the hunt for the elusive clown. The message came through the air that the clown had been cornered and shot near the pier, and Vince soon arrived. That night, he "stepped up" for the organization by caving in the head of the clown and gutting him, depositing his remains in various spots in upstate San Andreas. The month of November came and went, being spent mostly on the pier, or in a car with Sean O'Malley, in pursuit of Misha McQueen's daughters. Vince learned how to rob stores, and officially popped his bank robbing cherry on November 20, where upon escape, he collided with a civilian car less than fifty feet away from the bank, destroying his bike and landing him a short sentence in Mission Row. On that day, he earned two monikers. Lucky Vince, out of sarcasm due to his extremely bad luck of getting hit by the car, and Special Agent Vince, due to suspicions at the time of Vince's short Mission Row sentence for a bank heist and potential involvement with federal authorities. Ugly in Yellow Los Santos - December 2021 December began with a severe snowstorm that hit around the time Vince got stranded in the wilderness north of Paleto Bay after some kind of botched job. Along with the bad weather came bad tensions within the organization. At the advice of Misha McQueen, Vince began to entertain the idea of joining other organizations. Among them were the Italian organizations, of which he felt very hesitant due to his connection to the Torelli crime family. He approached Marcus Falcone and Giuseppe Palermo several times, but ultimately refused to join them due to their harsh regulations. Another possible pick was "Cal's Crew", led by an unknown man who had connections to Tony Serrano and Rocky. Vince's wanting to move to another organization was also spurred on by him witnessing the death of Charlie Bankshot on December 2. After robbing several stores, the two were ambushed by a lone bandit on the rooftop of the Weazel Gas launder. Sacrificing herself to save Vince, he escaped on a bike while she was brutally executed. That was the last time she was seen in the city, and her death not only hurt Vince personally, but caused rifts among the lower echelons of The Underground. Following the ideas of Lansley Seid and David Levine, who convinced Vince that Melody attacked Sean O'Malley and another member of pink for no good reason at the observatory, Vince left The Underground and joined the newly formed "Israeli Crew" of the East Side Vagos. The new organization, based out of the apartment building on Jamestown Street, spent the next few weeks hitting stores, robbing innocents and producing oil in an attempt to raise money for the family. However, ESV lacked one thing that The Underground had - good leadership. After several run-ins with Falcone's organization due to accidental attacks on La Famiglia members, Vince was tortured by Falcone and Sico, who disrespected Vince's family and lineage, and cut off Vince's right trigger finger and made him eat it - a humiliation and dishonor (it was later replaced prosthetically in Liberty City). This event prompted a de facto war between East Side Vagos and La Famiglia, as well as several other organizations. Eventually, ESV set its sights on The Underground. They formulated a plan on how to flip members of The Underground into joining ESV (which was viewed internally as a kind of rebel movement), and how to attack Melody personally. At one point, the high command of ESV planned to rape and torture her. Both the conflicts and the riches of East Side Vagos peaked around the third week of December, after which internal conflicts arose between David Levine and Lansley Seid. These included housing and power disputes, and eventually, David was ejected from the organization and the "Vagos" name was dropped entirely. Vince knew he had made a mistake, and started making preparations to make amends and return to The Underground. The Prodigal Son Returns Los Santos - January 2022 In January, after briefly returning home to New Jersey for Christmas, Vince reached out to Melody asking for peace and reinstatement into The Underground. She accepted happily, under one condition - Vince finds and tortures David Levine. He accepted, and Vince was reinstated as a full member, with the rank of Petty Officer. After several weeks of hitting stores, Vince eventually tricks David into going in on a store robbery job on the Palomino Freeway. Soon after, a merry band of rat-masked pinkies rush the store and take the rapist hostage. Vince shamed David's half-Italian heritage in the same way his was by Falcone, which was because of David's actions. After bringing the bald baby bitch up to Mount Chiliad, the crew tied a clown mask to his head, snapped a notorious photo, and then turned the mask backwards, letting baldie run down the mountain by himself. This act of redemption was seen very favorably in the eyes of the Rat Mother, who later confirmed Vince's full rebirth into The Underground. The month rolled by with more great triumphs for Vince, who managed to become roommates (and best pals) with Ali Valentine, another glorious pinkie. He also began a relationship with fellow Underground member Grace Adams - the only woman in six years who understands Vince's struggles and who he can relate to as another victim of a bad partner. The Future Los Santos - February 2022 Like many things in life, the future of The Underground and Vince's life is undetermined. However, anyone who's ever known what it's like to pick up the rat mask and wear it in the name of family and strength knows that whatever the future may hold, The Underground will get through it together. It's how the pink's always done things, and it's how the pink always will.
  11. Great post as always!
  12. Hello, my name is Vince Torelli (aka Tiny Dog, aka the Bayview Caper). You may or may not have met me (or the sole of my boot) in prison, a joint I frequent often. You may have also met me on the pier proudly wearing pink, or robbed me as I attempted to make my "special seedless salad." You probably have not met me at all, and that's why I'm making this introduction post! So I'm kind of new to serious roleplay. Back in 2015 and 2016 I was big into Garry's Mod DarkRP, mostly on the now-retired HooplaRP (of which the name Kyle Cisco is still spoken in the shadows), but I have come to find out that Hoopla and Eclipse are worlds apart. I was craving realism and community in an urban environment like Los Santos, and so far this server has delivered. I'm honored to be among some really cool people! In-game (and in real life), I'm big into landyacht cars like the Emperor and the Virgo Classic - so if you're ever selling one at a good price, you know who to call! Once again, I love this community and am proud to be a part of it!
