  1. I'll start by saying this would take a lot of working out between Legal Faction Management, Leadership of Factions and the player base. This discussion may have been brought up before, but I haven't seen a thread for it so I'm starting a new one. Essentially I believe that it could benefit the server to add government factions to the tiering system. 1st of all, a lot of current civilian and criminal factions' are judged on their OOC input into the community via the forums. At a minimum, a weekly post is required to maintain their tier, and often more is required to move up the tier ranks. This is not the same for government factions. There is no 'stress' or obligation to add anything regarding the activities the factions have been up to on the forums. My 2nd point is regarding punishments, criminal and civilian factions must monitor their members for admin punishments and activity of reports on the forums. This is not the case for government factions. They may receive a suspension or removal from the faction, but the faction itself is not impacted the same way as as civilian or criminal factions are. Now the tiers would of course have to work differently, due to the importance of these factions working, covering a 24/7 time zone, and enjoyability. But my suggestion would broadly be, that the higher tiers will receive better load-outs, vehicles and player caps, including treasury injections and customised clothing. The rough idea I would have for PD for example would be, at tier 1 they have pistols, non-lethals, 50AP and basic police cruisers. At tier 2 they would have access to, shotguns, 100AP, helicopters, and police bikes. tier 3, full tac gear, assault rifles, armoured vehicles. and so on. Essentially, I think that the same faction obligations should be spread across every faction in the F4. The problems that would get most factions demoted can also impact the government factions too, which would cause the faction to lose certain privileges/perks. - Yes government factions are larger, so a higher cap on player punishments is expected. - Yes, LSPD and LSSD are crucial to balance on the server, so their initial tier should be pretty much maxed to what they have at the moment. Lastly, this isn't a suggestion (at the moment) just a discussion to see what people think about the idea.

  3. I just wanted to bump this, with the drug update, adding effects to a player is within the server's framework and I think this is still something that might interest people. Of course, it's not going to be something that everyone in the server is going to be jumping at, but I do think that for those who enjoy roleplaying unique things with other factions, this is a suggestion that could have a place on the server.
  4. +1 I love this idea. The idea that gangs can remain on their turfs to cook drugs sounds great! I think that continuing to disable tables from being placed 'INSIDE' is also important, to stop people spending a few hours a day in a different dimension, as Bala said, as that adds nothing to the server and is a way for them to print money. I don't think there should be an advantage to cooking on your 'own' turf, but I don't think there should be a disadvantage either. The reason I say that is because if you want to do a joined cook - perhaps with friends from another faction - then while you're getting 1 drug every 2 minutes (for example) they're getting 1 every 5. From a realism standpoint, it doesn't make sense why it would take someone else longer, or less time, to cook because you're one block over from your turf. More places to find and pick plants, or a script and perhaps more equipment you can import to grow your own would be great too. But keeping SOME of the current labs open for quick manufacturing may be beneficial to some and wouldn't bother me if they remained open if this change was implemented, but I'd prefer player-to-player deals if people want quick drugs, like finding a gang member to buy weed off at O-Block etc.

  7. +1 A few contract NPCs are already in different locations, which I personally rotate through depending on how busy places are. A couple more wouldn't be negative, but with a limited number of houses to rob in general (20k) there isn't really a need to add more. I do agree that there shouldn't be a UI floating for everyone to find readily, but that won't stop certain groups hunting through houses with heavy weapons to gain the 40-60k of loot from the on going robbery. Perhaps an adjustment to what is seen, from the UI to /commands would be okay.

Issue/bug you are reporting: When the durability of the weapon cleaning kit is about 1/5th left on its bar, it is not able to repair a gun. I've tried it on different guns needing repair. Expected behavior: Weapon Cleaning Kit is to repair guns until the durability is empty or the item is destroyed after its final use. Evidence (MUST either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: With the Weapon Cleaning Kit and chosen weapon in the inventory, right-click the gun and select repair, the player's character should then begin the 30 seconds timer which then repairs the gun and removes from durability from the Weapon Cleaning Kit. When the weapon cleaning kit has 1/5 left on its bar, try this process again and you're met with this notification.: Vehicle license plate number*:

  20. Hello! My suggestion today is to allow drugs to be bought from Pharmacist NPCs, similar to the Repairman NPCs. I'd like to see it so that prices are not profitable to buy in bulk, but enough for personal use for characters. Someone who is a crack addict is likely not the one in a lab cooking it, they buy it from 'their guy' instead. At the moment, if you want to get some drugs for a party you either need to go to a far away lab and risk robbery and your own life to make even a blunt, or you go to someone who does that part for you, extremely rarely is there a middle person, which realistically there would be. This suggestion would enable a way to get drugs from another source, in a realistic way. Could there be a cop script implemented, such as a passerby call "Someone's dealing drugs!" ? I think so! And it would be interesting to see a different style of callout for LSPD, rather than pursuit, house robbery, pursuit, ATM, Burgershot, Burgershot, Burgershot. Let me know what you think
  21. Hello! My suggestion is basically to make melee weapons more concealed on the body when carried, especially since they currently just float on the hip of the player when it is in their inventory. I'd like to see the melee weapons be invisible to others until drawn into the hand, and hidden again once holstered. I'd understand a compromise of, say, golf clubs, hatchets, baseball bats, and any other LARGE melee, but for knives and knuckle dusters to be invisible. With the large weapons, I'd like to see them be moved from floating on the hip to perhaps the back, where it could stay similar to a heavy weapon, my suggestion would be from the opposite shoulder, to form an X if a heavy weapon is also equiped.
