my thoughts on the whole police situation rn

Hi I just wanted to go over my thoughts on the pd now and how unrealistic they can be

1. running around with shotguns and assault rifles on their backs this is nowhere near realistic and they should only be allowed to have these guns out for real situations they should have standard pistols, the crims have absolutely no chance to get away in chases when they have them cause its Fear RP if they run or try to start their cars.

2.the tasing 1 after another shouldn't be a thing they should have a delay on the tasers

3. the pitting at really high speeds it is no way near realistic to pit someone at 80 or over its stupid af in my opinion and again ruins the rp and chases.

4. the cars are a lot faster than most cars making it next to impossible to get away unless u are a impeccable driver, some people may like this to make it harder for them but lets say a muscle car vs a suv the muscle should out run it every time.

5. all around I think the police are power hungry

these are just a few of my concerns and it makes me want to stop playing due to these things I want to be a crim but its crazy to get stuff done I hope u read this and think about some of the things in this post.

1: There's IC regulations on heavy weapons in any government faction. The comment about FearRP is irrelevant since the same can be said about them aiming a pistol at you.
2: I agree about tasers, they're too strong. But in the same point, SO MANY people ignore their effects and just constantly try run after being tazed.
3: No experience here so no comment
4: This is absolutely not true, especially recently. There's a lot of vehicles that keep up, if not out-perform LEO vehicles. The scout itself which is widely used is publicly available.
5: That's personal opinion.

What I advise, is that you instead turn this post around from a general complaint to one of suggestions that potentially solve each of the problems you believe are wrong. Going into more detail about what you'd change and why would be much better for the suggestions area and overall be a better contribution.

1. there's regulations where haha I see them walking around with them everyday its dumb af but what ever you say man they should be left in there cars until a real situation happens and yea I guess so didn't think about what I said about the Fear RP

2. you should get a chance to run after getting tased once after roleplaying the affect

4. just to verify I said most cars not all

5. its definitely most peoples thoughts on the pd but they are scared to speak on it

1.There are regulations in the department manuals. Since weapons are locked on each character, that means they cant just put them in the gloves box/trunk of a cruiser. To take out a weapon you would have to go through the faction loadout menu (/fl) > choose weapons > choose the weapon. This would make heavy weapons useless as they are only deployed in high risk situations and by the time you have to do all that, you'll probably be dead.

2. It's pretty rare to see anyone get up and attempt to escape after being tased irl. Often time people never rp the effects of the taser and you can literally see them holding W and running in place waiting for the effect to wear out... Doesn't make sense.

3. The pitting is datable. There are IC rules about where and what type of vehicles are allowed to be pitted. If police couldn't pit at high speeds, chases would never end unless the driver crashes. And when they do crash, 99% of players from my experience do not RP the injuries of crashing at high speeds and they get out of the car and attempt to run away right away.

4. Cruisers are pretty balanced imo. Of course the cruisers will beat an ordinary vehicle in regards to speed but get dusted by most sports cars. They may have a medium-high top speed but depending on the type of cruiser they have awful acceleration and handling.

1. I can confirm their are regulations in place for the LSPD pertaining to the deployment of all our weapons. That being said previous interactions and arrests of a person may result in escalated responses due to previous experiences with said person. This is certaining something that should be IC not on a suggestion thread.

2. I disagree, have you ever witnessed or been tazed, I would assume not, generally the tazer is designed to force the muscles to spasm to the point of exhaustion, and until removed the prongs remain in the person and can be used for I believe up to 3 shocks before a battery replacement in the tazer. The prongs in themselves are painful as they are hooked similarly to a fishing hook and hook the flesh.

3. Pitting of a vehicle, there are circumstances where I have prohibited it from occurring, until certain criteria are met (risk of ambush, or person puts lives at risk outside of their own). I would like to point out that often times we see other players ramming and doing obsurd actions with their cars, example being a issi sport off roading up mount chillad, similarly as I do not paint all other players with a brush so I would expect other players to not paint our faction with a brush either. Approach the matter IC as officers are often written up for misconduct.

4. For reference we have a difficult time keeping up with about 30% of vehicles on the server, there are some drivers like myself that are above average and can take a car that is less of a performer and keep up with a better car. There are others that drive the best car we have and have issues keeping up, allow me to make a case and point for you, a couple days ago a warrener escaped custody and a helicopter. Clearly this isn't because he is fast, or agile, but rather was smart. You will find in cities in RL that have an abundance of criminals utilizing high power supercars that police respond by getting faster and better cars also, and that is the case in our city (LS).

I would suggest if you would like to experience the other side of the RP to compare it, that you apply for a ride along (likely on an alt) and go out on patrol with some officers during peak times, and also during the slower times.
