BearMarket Posted April 26, 2021 Report Share Posted April 26, 2021 Now I know Poker may not be at the top of priority right now but this seems to be an issue that many who frequent the table do not enjoy. As it is currently straights take into account your kicker if applicable when in reality that isnt how texas hold em is played. On straights, if it is a draw then the pot is split to each player. For example lets say there are two players involved in the game and one player has Ace King and another player has Ace 9. Lets say the board is 2 3 4 5 J. In normal poker both players have a straight and split the pot because a straight has only 5 cards to it and the resulting straight would be A 2 3 4 5. On the server it plays differently though, and takes into account the players other card which would result in the player with Ace King winning and getting the entire pot which isnt how it is in reality. I am sick of losing hands when it counts 6 cards instead of 5 in case of a have a straight, full house, straight flush, etc. It's just not how poker works. There is a discrepancy with how straights are normally played in Texas Hold 'Em. I can understand why it is frustrating for players who are used to the traditional rules. In traditional poker, a straight is a straight, and if it's a draw, the pot is typically split among the players involved. Splitting the pot on draws is the norm, and it adds that extra layer of excitement. Seems like you've put your finger on a glitch that needs fixing.
