Whitney Posted February 2, 2021 Report Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) Thirst/Hunger meters to go down while we are offline as they normally would while we are online because we don't get our lives paused in real life. Thanks for the suggestion @Pegasus_!! 3 minutes ago, Pegasus_ said: I don’t see any point why this should continue just because ingame time does. In that case, I want my gov bonus as well despite I’m offline, cause time goes on, right? Lets have them work! Edited February 4, 2021 by Clara 4 2 2 1
WinterBlack Posted February 3, 2021 Report Posted February 3, 2021 (edited) -1, your character wouldn't just "starve" while you're offline, fair enough real life doesnt get paused... But you'd still maintain your basic needs. I view it like a sims “care for self” mode, your character wouldn’t just lie in bed and starve waiting for us to come back. They’d maintain their own basic needs at the same level as we’d leave them. much like real life... you wouldn’t just lay in bed for days (if you’re away for days) starving or being thirsty. There’s no issue with spending money or going to places like sandbar. But it’s ridiculous how the concept would be to have your character start starving each time which is then eating away at your health... Whitney Posted February 4, 2021 Author Report Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) I think of it as a way to expand the wellness system and that health should be the last thing to be thought of because just as mentioned by Winter, we don't actually starve and I agree with that. I didn't come up with the idea of draining health but this is how it works now so it's not my problem. The decrease of the health bar should be the last thing if the character's wellness is drastically going down and that by making food drain not as slow as it is now but faster and by making it this way, people would be forced to eat instead of seeing people staying on 1HP all the time + ignoring the fact that most of the people in real life do have breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. 1. Wellness system needs to also be food related 2. We barely have any food items/groceries +support! myself Edited February 14, 2021 by Clara
Pegasus_ Posted February 4, 2021 Report Posted February 4, 2021 I say again. Hell no. This forces players to play all day everyday. I don’t want to be punished ICly by starvations because I have to go on vacation or don’t want to play for a week or two. Just taking a day off will have massive implications if we we’re dumb enough to implement this. Furthermore, there is no need for OOC enforcement of going to a restaurant or a store, people will do what they want. Think people should use it more? The fix it yourself ICly, advertise, promote, whatever. I don’t see any point why this should continue just because ingame time does. In that case, I want my gov bonus as well despite I’m offline, cause time goes on, right? 2

Speed Racer Posted February 4, 2021 Report Posted February 4, 2021 -1 My Neopets are likely rotten and decayed after dying from starvation by now, no soup kitchen meal can fix that at this point. I'd hate for this to happen to my character if I decide to stop playing this server at some point. big props to whoever chuckles at this deep cut of a joke. 1
Xoza Posted February 5, 2021 Report Posted February 5, 2021 +/- I could see the reason from this.. but at that point you'd have to pay people who aren't playing also. Something basic though like.. days your not logged in, you lose 1% hunger/thirst, when you log back in, or something. Many games though, have incentives to logging in and playing for some time. I think a new suggestion could be opened pertaining to that.
