Mickeyyy Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 Correct me if I am wrong but I do not think there is a bind for cruise control that is like the binds for changing radio freq. I just think a bind for quick changing cruise control would be a good quality of life option for driving. Thanks for reading and any input. 1

Dor Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 No, cruise should work like in real life. You drive up to the speed you want and then lock your cruise on it. 1
Mickeyyy Posted October 7, 2020 Author Report Posted October 7, 2020 Okay and that is still not how it works in game right now. You must type the command in and lock it at a speed that you are not at yet. It does not lock it when you activate it (an idea i like actually). So next time provide an example of how it could be changed to make it more realistic.
Shimo Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 I agree, I'd think it would be easier for people to follow IC traffic laws too if this was a thing.
eradicati0n Posted October 13, 2020 Report Posted October 13, 2020 +1 In other servers, the lock at speed system has never felt particularly intuitive for me, I much prefer the current system of selecting a speed and not being able to go beyond it. However, it is quite frustrating to have to type out commands when transitioning between road and highway, or the few spots where you go from road to highway to country road. Its much easier to just turn the cruise control off, which encourages IC speeding offences. Being able to bind different cruise control limits, or even commands entirely, just like you can bind radio frequencies, would be great. Maybe Alt + 1 - 9? I don't think that's used for anything currently, though I'm not 100%. With multiple options, you could bind all three speed limits on Alt + 1, 2 and 3 respectively, then have other binds such as /refuel, /gut, /vieworders or whatever you prefer. I'm aware this feature is already available (kind of) by using AHK, but implementing it natively would be nice.
Ash Posted October 14, 2020 Report Posted October 14, 2020 +1 I try and go the right speed limits as a legal character and currently the only option really is switching the 3 terrains is to stop and type /cruise X. Which is just silly since i need to pull over or stop. So right now it's set to 80 with manual control of speed at 120 and 140. Alt + 1,2,3 or some equivalent would make way more sense.
