CaesarSeizure Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 So currently if you have a weapon equipped, it has 0 weight and you can have as many different weapons equipped as there are weapons without any kind of penalty to your character. My suggestion is to make every piece you have equipped maintain its weight and reduce the amount you can carry in your inventory. Additionally, I think having ammo have some weight would also make sense, and weapon attachments should maintain their weight when equipped, rather than remove the weight just because it is equipped - A modded weapon should weight more than an un-modded one. This change would largely impact any scripted weapons, but would also have an impact on every other equipment on the server. Having these changes would utilize the existing carry capacity to promote a more realistic approach on how much gear you can have on you for both crims and LEOs. Simply put - you have 50 carrying capacity in your inventory. If you choose to carry a pistol (5), a rifle (10) and body armor (5?), you should only have a total of 30 left in your inventory. Additionally, having ammo give weight would add to the realism, as right now, ammo has basically 0 weight and you could carry 1k rounds on you without it making a difference.
Minta Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 +1 I think that weight is incredibly important. Right know when people can carry like 5 Oil Barrels, a bunch of ore, a bunch of clothes, weapons or 20 Vodka bottles - it is a bit ridiculous. It would also be amazing if the person wouldn't be able to run if he is carrying a specific amount of weight. Now it is weird to know that a person might carry 20 Vodka bottles, some clothes, heavy weapon, water, sandwiches, and run as fast as empty handed person. Try it in RL.
Percival Posted July 17, 2020 Report Posted July 17, 2020 +1 The higher your inventory, the slower you are, or the quicker you lose energy to run.
