Cyrus Raven Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) To whom it may concern, Following the recent hiring of Commissioner Osborn and Commissioner Lewis, it seems that the business section of the government, specifically the registration and licensing sections have come to a stand still. Although these events may be disconnected we as citizens of Los Santos and faithful tax payers are entitled to a transparent and communicative government. As things progress with regards to COVID-19, the economic uncertainty created by such virus is already putting pressure on the businesses of Los Santos to act. So far, no government actions or advice on how to proceed has been issued, businesses are observing a halt in registration application handling and licensing, making it impossible to set up a new business with the government. Furthermore, no word as to why this is the case has been communicated, despite having ample time and means to do so. Given the above, I ask the San Andreas State Government to provide answers to the following matters: Why have business registrations and licensing come to a standstill ? When can we expect these to return to normal ? What is the current government advice with COVID-19 ? What are the number of cases in Los Santos ? Should businesses be closing down or remain open ? What steps, in the entire month both Commissioner Osborn and Commissioner Langley have been employed in the SASG, have been taken to bring a legal system into place ? Have plans been drafted ? Has recruitment started ? Are future law firms able to pre-register in anticipation of such a system ? A concerned citizen and tax payer, Edited March 28, 2020 by Kyle White Raven 2 1
kenichis Posted March 28, 2020 Report Posted March 28, 2020 ((Just so you are aware, some factions has been specifically told NOT to roleplay COVID-19. The rest of your post is definitely okay but I don't think that part is necessary. Most of us log in to escape the disease IRL, we don't need it in our roleplay world right now.))

I agree, just thought it was being roleplayed since admins have been seen doing RP tests.))

Would love it if we can get some answers to this. Regards, Brandon Gotti Edited March 29, 2020 by BrandonGotti 1
InvalidSun Posted March 30, 2020 Report Posted March 30, 2020 I'd like to include that the government had recently decided to lower funding to some businesses, limiting their ability to pay employees, and even further limit hiring new employees. This has resulted in a drastic increase in unemployment at a time where employment would be the most beneficial to the city. Among this, recent mistakes were made through a faulty financial system provided to businesses, that resulted in every other business being told that they can no longer pay their employees bonuses with the money the business obtains through those employees' hard work. If any of this information is incorrect, I would be happy to hear an explanation on it, but I do believe increasing funding would be good at a time like now, when tons of people are moving to the city and looking for work. With the current state, it would be no surprise if 90% of the people moving here decide to move to a life of crime due to the lack of jobs available. 2
