Toxine Posted October 29, 2025 Report Posted October 29, 2025 The news letter was an amazing tool to provide insight to the players on whats going in the server. Some players don't even login anymore for a multitude of reasons, but when they check the newsletter, it sparks interest and makes them want to login which will bring more people around. Additionally, if factions are supposed to provide a weekly recap of their work and their promotions depend on that, why shouldn't the server set an example? There's certainly more than enough staff members to draft up a document that takes less than 30 minutes to create. Also, it goes very well in conjunction with the announcement about transparency and communication. What's better than a document that showcases this months development, next steps, most prominent IC events, any major change/update, Gang recaps (providing public feedback and commendations for the factions that are handling themselves well). https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/topic/166378-eclipse-roleplay-monthly-newsletter-october-2024 It's been a full year since the last one, why has it been discontinued? jason Posted October 29, 2025 Report Posted October 29, 2025 Hi there. It's not exactly discontinued, it's more of a hiatus due to the lapse in development at the time of the hiatus beginning, my own life becoming 10x as busy in the span of a few months, and the platform we use to send it out hiking our plan to prices which only a large corporation could pay. We're currently testing new tools to send out the newsletter and have plans to bring it back ASAP to further signal boost upcoming development. I am the sole writer of the newsletter and inquire upon people for information, and it is very much not something that takes less than 30 minutes to create after factoring in these inquiries and editing time. No offense taken, don't worry about it. That said, thank you for the positive feedback about the newsletter. I'm excited to get more pushed out! 2 Quote
