Funny thing is, you’re preaching about ‘spine’ when LEOs on this server have infinite lives, zero real loss, and walk out of death with a fresh badge and a smile. You call shorter jail times a ‘difficulty slider,’ but where’s that energy when cops respawn every five minutes like it’s GTA Online?park / unpark their vehicles to get it fixed.
Some of us actually have in real lives priorities , not everyone can waste three hours staring at a jail wall pretending it’s hardcore RP. If you think that’s ‘spine,’ maybe check who’s really playing on easy mode.

again 1hours maximum jail time is perfect, just imagine the activity increase will be if this suggestion implemented , everyone going to enjoy including LEOs !!

Loss isn't always measured in assets. While yes, LEO's would suffer no monetary loss, there are other losses they would suffer from. Inability to assist while having to find reasons to ignore radio calls for help, inability to continue assistance with investigations due to being NLR'd from an on-going situation.

If you have a priority in real life, then what does it matter if you spend up to 3 hours in jail? Your prison times are reduced 1 hour every 12 hours you're off-line, up to the last hour of your sentence which you must serve in-game. However, even then, there's your "1 hours maximum jail time", and yet by your own words, you'd choose to spend the time staring at a jail wall pretending it's hardcore RP. To me it sounds as if you're not trying or looking to initiate RP, but instead getting back to grinding for assets.

Sorry but further reducing jail time is not going to resolve the issue. Where it sits now is great, but development is on the horizon for more to do at DOC.

Right o! so back we go to the age old debate of cops v crims when it comes to assets and punishment. this has been done a dozen times before but fuckit, one more time couldnt hurt right??

On this server, cops are a necessary function. to ensure that crims cannot simply run wild flout laws, go 240 in metro areas, stuff like that. Its a job. a job they are paid to do. A job with standards. Standards they are held to.

If a cop oversteps those boundaries, they are investigated, and if found guilty, punished.

If an applicant to being a cop does not make the grade, they are denied,

If a trainee for either department does not make the grade, they are rejected. invited to come back later and try again.

There are government forms for each of the things I have just listed. It is fact, not just meaningless conjecture like so much stuff on the forums is...

And in addition to that cops have to go through a mountain of paperwork in order to both keep their job and advance, failing to do this results in them, you guessed it! being ejected. For flavours sake in order to just carry a pump shotgun a trainee has to pass out of training, which takes a month, and then apply and pass through the weapons training system, which is about another week on top. thats 5 weeks, at best to hold the most basic of heavies. LEO factions are the hardest ones to join on the server purely for the amount of work it takes to get into them.

None of this applies to criminals, where anyone with 10k who knows a guy can get their hands on a silenced .50, if they have the goods and the money is there you can get pretty much any gun you like, instantly. all you gotta do, is know a guy. No application, no training, no paperwork! just hand over the cash and here's your guns. Much of the crim economy is based on larger orgs selling guns through this method.

The cop dosent own the guns they fire. they have it as part of a kit for their job. the crim pays for their guns for the privilege of being able to use that gun however they like (within server rules.) and for the roleplay it allows them to do. the cop cannot generate their own roleplay, they are a reactionary force who can only respond to roleplay opportunities presented to them.

As for jail and the loss of assets, thats just part of the crim experience. its part of what makes it the hardest style of rp to play, but also the most rewarding if you pull it off, massive Ws ,Colossal Ls, big fucking swings.  If that is not to your liking perhaps criminal roleplay just isnt for you.
