alexalex303 Posted June 2, 2025 Report Posted June 2, 2025 (edited) Date and time (provide timezone): 01/JUNE/2025 - 20:00 UTC Character name: Jason Steel Does this issue appear again after a full game restart?: Yes How many times did this issue appear for you?: Once a day for a few months now. Issue/bug you are reporting: when you speak over local chat (N) people will see that you're speaking (the indicator in the middle right of the screen) and will be able to hear you as if you are talking on radio, even if they are super far away. Expected behavior: people should only hear you speaking if they are close to you, they should not see your indicator of speaking if you are not close to them Evidence (MUST provide either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: there is no clear way to reproduce this that I have found, it seems very random people will see you speak (the indicator in the middle right of the screen), and they will hear you from long distances even if you are speaking locally (N) there is no clear fix to this issue, and people can hear you for long periods of time without you knowing about it Vehicle license plate number*: N/A Edited June 2, 2025 by alexalex303 Quote
AnnoyingOne Posted June 2, 2025 Report Posted June 2, 2025 I never had this happen where I could fully hear people's conversation when I am far away from them, but I did have a situations where if I left the person's voip range just as they started talking, I would keep hearing them start speaking even when I was far away, but that was only for 0.5s (The annoying voip shard bug). The fix for that is to get close to them again Quote

Timmaayy Posted November 1, 2025 Report Posted November 1, 2025 @alexalex303 does this still happen? Quote

The bug keeps happening semi-consistently when you are in a frequency with someone, and then you change frequency and/or you unequip your radio. F1 relog seems to fix it Edited November 1, 2025 by Toxine Quote

Yes, this is rather frustrating as it's been very hard to reproduce intentionally. It happens on a daily basis on LSPD frequency to the point where we just assume someone not answering didn't hear the original transmission. The best way to describe the issue is as such, imagine a relatively high population radio frequency like PD, maybe 15 people on the frequency at once. John speaks on the frequency, and some people will hear him, but others will only see the radio text that shows someone is speaking (middle right of the screen). If they're not paying attention, they won't even realize someone is trying to speak. I have been unable to find a way to cause this bug on purpose, and it seems rather random. Quote

I get this on a freq with 8 people also, I see someone is trying to speak on the radio on the right side of my screen, but I don't hear them yet other people will be able to hear them or sometimes I only get the last word or two from their sentence Quote
SneakySniper Posted November 17, 2025 Report Posted November 17, 2025 I see this has been put in the outdated section. It still occurs, its very random, but il hear someone i was around prior and 10 minutes later il hear snippets of what they say even though im near nobody Quote
