yeahchris
I'm not really making this suggestion for myself since my original application is still pending. However, I've seen multiple people whose applications have been rejected (after 10+ days of waiting) complaining on Discord about going to resubmit a new application and not being able to due to the resubmission cooldown. I understand why under normal circumstances a resubmission cooldown is a good idea. I also understand why nothing can be done about the current wait times on applications -- evaluating the number of apps coming in with a small volunteer staff in a timely manner is, simply put, impossible. But surely with 10-14 days of waiting on the app to be evaluated they have had plenty of time to re-read the rules as many times as they want. Having to wait for a cooldown after weeks of waiting for the evaluation/rejection isn't currently serving a practical purpose. It's pretty much just adding insult to injury. Ideally I would recommend that you come up with some sort of system so that applications which are being re-attempted are given some priority (at least for the first retry), but I can see how the logistics of that might be difficult to work out. Short of that, eliminating the cooldown is one small thing that could be done to make the current situation a little bit less awful for prospective new players. TLDR; I suggest you turn off the cooldown on application resubmissions until the current backlog of applications is significantly reduced as long as it is technologically feasible to do so. NoobDude
Removing resubmission cooldown will increase the backlog even more. The current system is fine, only issue is lack of staff to deal with influx of applications.
yeahchris
This is possible, but personally I doubt it would significantly raise the backlog. I'm willing to bet that most of the people who are just here because they watched a stream and got hyped wouldn't bother to reapply. In fact, I doubt they would stick around after the first hour or two of waiting. I'd be willing to bet that for the majority of apps currently in the queue, most will never log in even after approved, let alone stick it out for two weeks and then reapply. Could be wrong. Sounds very likely. People have a short attention span nowadays!
CertifiedMixed
It has been made for a reason, if that didn't exist then there would be a more larger time of waiting for anyone who is applying and not everyone would get a chance to even get accepted. Plus it would create an absolute mess of applications if that didn't exist. It also gives people time to actually properly understand the rules that there is and be able to pass without a doubt after learning them for those hours. I don't agree with what you said. zakara711
Personally I believe it shows dedication and willing to follow the rules, if anyone is adamant and committed to joining Eclipse RP, 4 hours is a small price to pay.
