Something needs to be done about casual robberies

So I'm just going to say it: robbing people for car scrap is sooooo unrealistic. Especially serially robbing for car scrap. What do you do for money? "Uh, I rob people for their car parts and dope" LAME. I feel like People need an actual reason to get robbed. Like, I don't know exactly what it would be, but i swear people don't even have to to work to get money anymore. they just rob any poor soul that comes by. It makes it hard for any Tom Dick or Harry trying to get by and make money. There is only like 3 spots to cook dope on the whole map and they're all in the same location pretty much, so its just a short drive for any lazy idiot to pull over to aim a gun at your face. Maybe there should be a rule set, where the person has to actually see that you have something valuable, rather than to just assume you do. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, If I'm at the area of the drug labs. They'll pull a gun on you whether or not they even know if you have anything. It's very bad rp if you ask me, and I for one am sooooooo tired of having to beg for my life over and over and over again, just because I'm in the area of the tables/carjack. Shoot! What about that poor guy who owns the house right by the carjack/marijuana spot? that guy probably gets robbed just for going to his home. It's not right.

If you want easy and safe, do a legal job.

You're operating outside the law, probably as a solo or a small group. What are you expecting exactly? People to not engage you because they rules say they can't, while you print money in your bubble?

I have played solo at these labs before, been robbed but i've also dipped at the first sign of trouble, hid my stuff in bushes etc..

There isn't supposed to be such little sights active, wasn't want i wanted it to be so maybe a few more could be made available.

Robbing is working. you're doing a criminal job when you rob a location.

Have Tom Dick or Harry tried robbing people?

Provably wrong. there's over a dozen cooking locations that work in a rotation. Chopping locations less so but you have the option to do private chops.

Have you tried aiming one back?

There is a rule set. Robberies must be conducted in a realistic way taking into account location, time, risk v reward. if someone drives into a lab and sees you cooking or breaking down a car for parts to sell. they have reason to believe you have a significant amount of loot that they could sell for significant profit. particularly if you are offering minimal resistance.

Then dont beg. fight back. take the fight to them instead. come armed and heavy and maybe youll profit more when you take their guns off their corpses.

Please do.

In short im kinda baffled by the suggestion. If youre a criminal driving into a shady location to make money, you should take precautions to protect yourself and your assets. That is part of the experience. if you dont like that or just wanna sit peacefully doing a job and getting paid, as bala said, plenty of legal faction and freelance jobs to do that instead. you cant have it both ways. either take the safe jobs with lesser pay or take the risky illegal ones and accept the risk.

If you are struggling because youre constantly outnumbered or outgunned, then its also on you to form alliances, make friends and contacts to even the score. once again, part of the RP experience.

I am sorry to break the news to you buddy, but that is high quality roleplay, i don't know what you are mad about.
Nobody here agrees with you because we here at Eclipse consider it good roleplay.

But all jokes aside brother from the facts you have stated in the post you have so much to learn and explore, my advice is make friends and create or join an illegal faction.

Also a lot of the people who replied to you are just doomers and lame roleplayers. Don't take them seriously

Even so - It is your story to play out, nothing is easy in life, so don't brake RP rules, take the L`s and later get some W`s hopefully!

Car parts can be sold for money and help factions maintain their turfs.

You may not like it but being robbed is just something that will happen while playing crim. I can confidently say that not a single person that plays a criminal character hasn’t been robbed at some point while playing.

If there was no risk beyond just cops, criminal RP wouldn’t be as fun in my opinion. It keeps you on your toes and makes you be aware of what you do and makes you be careful of what decisions you make, so that you don’t attract attention. There’s ways to lessen the chances of being robbed, such as being careful of the location you chop and sell your parts to, having numbers and weaponry, or playing it passive and dip if someone’s rolling up on you.

Criminal RP thrives on unpredictability and danger. Everyone is trying to make money, whether it’s working on their hustles or robbing others of their valuables. Removing that unpredictability would strip away a lot of what makes criminal RP exciting.
