Fake beards and Wigs

Hey,

 

I think we should be able to buy and use fake beards and wigs

Detectives could use them to try and blend in

and criminals could use them to not be easy to identify after evading. without having to change your own style for a short wile.

 

Wigs could go in the Hat slot. while using it. it fully replaces your hairstyle with a new one, but the moment you take the wig off. it goes back to how your hair should look like.

 

Beards could go in the Mask slot, It would also have durability while being used. making it so it won't fully replace masks. making it more of a tool to try and avoid LEO/people. making it more like a tool to get out of a spot un-noticed more then a fully on mask replacement. It could have a lifespan of about 15 min before it plays a /amy on you like " beard straps snapped, making the beard fall off"

 

Wigs could use in the headgear slot and the fake beard could work as a mask. covering your face/Name like a mask. as they wouldn't see your real face. and PD wouldn't know its a mask so they wouldn't come over to ask you to ID yourself

so basically a mask cops cant tell you to remove? or rather perhaps they have to rp "/me inspects the individuals face closely to see if the facial hair was genuine" or something like that?

Neat idea in principle but surely once you try to alias a person and realise you cant, the jig is up at least oocly.

Its an interesting idea and mask meta is stale, im just seeing some major potholes here...

It would basically be a real beard/hair. just that while you wear the mask/hat item. it replaces it with the "fake beard/wig"
and if you take the hat or mask item off. it will return your hair/face back to how it should be.

 

People could like /me looks at the mans beard. /do would it appear as a fake or real beard?

Its an interesting idea. next question would be why would anyone use masks if this was implemented?

On one side, you have a beard/wig that comes with a chance the cop will not be able to identify you with it on and rply wont be able to tell youre disguised, Vs a mask which the cop knows youre wearing and has the legal power to have you take it off. it just feels like powercreep. surely if this was implemented as suggested every crim would just switch from mask to fake hair for the sake of the advantage.

could make wigs/beards have durability like gloves. As wigs do degrade over time. and not everyone would want to wear a fake beard. Its all about having the ability to choose. 

 

There should be a way for criminals to hide in public without a mask. as masks will just attract "Jason steel" and others like that, who will icly harass people about it. to the point where wearing a mask is more likely to get you arrested/spotted then not to wear one.

and if they're not wearing a mask at all. PD will just stop and get them. for knowing their name.

 

beards could have a short lifespan while being used. 10-15, so that people would slap them on while LEO's are near just to try and leave the area.

 

making it so its not a mask replacer. but a way to try and outsmart LEO's in the moment

Well reasoned. +1 with the caveat that they are also expensive and degrade over time. otherwise the new meta would be every glovebox carrying at least 1-2 of these at all times for traffic stops.

PD will be request your license ether way during a traffic stop, and we don't have fake licenses *yet*

These are currently basically implemented as items that go in the neck slot for males, currently only spawnable by Senior admins+ I believe. You will see a few people going around with them if their SA+ buddy has given them one

I like the idea of it working as a mask, if it's the item, or it can be a locked item if set in barbers but doesn't provide the mask effect if it's "natural" and set in the barbers.
