PD - Pepper Spray

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I think the use of pepper spray would be a great idea, for example, in DOC there are big groups that sometimes need lets say "sorting it out", and sometimes there is more inmates than guards, so long story short pepper spray would be a great efficient item to have, controlling major groups, especially in big events too, if there is ever a fight etc.

Just thought I'd make this suggestion, as I have been thinking about it for a while.

Do you mean tear gas that injures people? If so cops already get this in pretty sure.

Doc has smoke grenades though since you don’t really need to injure that many people.

So I think this is pretty much a thing already, even then, requests for things like these are handled in-character between the faction and the government

I'm talking about a pepper spray item, that every officer carries, even trainees, something that can be used instead of a taser, because once you get tased you can get back up, and some people well most people, don't RP the fact they've just been tased and try run etc, with pepper spray they can make it scriptly make your vision go or like some sort of effect that makes you not be able to run, or maybe even run slower.

modify the tazer script so it interacts with the buff/debuff system. some drugs buff your stats, how fast you can run, etc. if you get tazed it should debuff your stats, make you move slower, then nerf the tazer, fire rate, reload speed, range. would fix the problem, without having to ad another tool.

So long as Tasers are a thing in their current format no cop would use this unless forced to. it would be less effective, more clunky.

Yeah, they'd just ignore it and run when able like the tasers.

Like i really think tasers should be more powerful per shot, leave someone ragdolled on the ground for a good 20 seconds. have you ever seen someone get hit with one irl? you aint getting up and running 5 seconds later....

Could also have certain drugs reduce the effect (tho i think 20 seconds may be to much)

i really dont think it is....if you get tazed, you should be DOWN....for the count. again most times someone gets tazed IRL it takes them MINUTES to have enough control over their faculties again to move properly, never mind run. 20 seconds is nothing. and frankly alot of RP would make alot more sense if the stun duration was longer and the reload was too.
