FarmerJesus Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 I didnt know how to word the title, but i have noticed it is an issue when mechanics try to impound a vehicle without a plate visible for ex: Drag, Bf400, Sanchez etc... and i understand this isnt a big issue but when a mechanic trys the impound a vehicle and there are no cops nearby to pull the plate on the car/bike it can cause issues for the mechanic. im just saying we make it so when you do "select vehicle" it would also say the vehicle plates along with the model of the car. just to make rp easier on everyone. Aieos Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 I like this, realistically the vehicles would have visible plates on them. You should be able to see them with your own eyes. Quote
UrbanGhost Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 My only issue with this is, if it's displayed when you select the vehicle, it can allow people to select vehicles in chases and things like that to get the license plates. Realistically if a car goes flying by you, you wouldn't have time to see the plate. Same thing in something like a hit and run and things like that. A solution that could prevent that kind of abuse would be to have a command that you use to check the license plate, like /checklicenseplate. It could work the same as the command to check the parking pay, but it just shows the car's license plate in text chat. This might also be better since when you select the vehicle, the information disappears as soon as it's unselected. Having it printed in chat might just make things a little easier. 1 Quote

This might need to be another suggestion all together, but I think adding a new option to the interaction menu (Ctrl+Z or Ctl+X ? I don't even remember since it's rarely used) with an action timer. As long as you are close enough to the vehicle you would be able to open the interaction menu and right click on the vehicle, selecting the Check Plate option and activating a 5 second or so action timer. This would also only work while on foot, hopefully preventing the issue you described. P.S. Make the interaction menu more inutive to use and add more features to it (anims, duoanims, checking player status if they have been drinking or using drugs for any common signs of such usage, request ID card through there perhaps, etc...) 1 Quote
