  1. Its certainly a step into right direction, but in my opinion, bringing in swat will be every time someone evades or win over police, which will end up in same situation as now. By the fact that pd can lose so much, that brings that fun, because then situation between cops and police is somewhat same. Since this server is not exactly 100% as in real life, I don't see any reason why police could not be put into such position. Else there is unnatural and unhealthy bias towards police.
  2. They be like that, touch their ego and they act like 13 y. O. Earrapping teen who just shouts "henZ up or I kill ya!" while attempting to rob you behind mall
  3. Another great implementation would be that in case cops lose any of its stuff be it because of their fault or situation they end up, they have to pay huge amounts in fines. For example, lost pistol - 20k fine, lost assault/smg - 100k fine. Only that way they will learn how to value their character lives and dont try to be brave in places where it doesn't fit.
  4. There ya go, my side of view. Previously i had enormous lag of the circle progress bar, but that might have been on my end, after tweaking game for a lot of time, I was able to get almost perfect result, but as you can see in provided footage, it still fails to detect the press of space key at right time. Will update with more videos eventually.
  5. +1 Totally agree with your thoughts, there is not much to do other than large actions like heists, robberies etc, and the other things that get you cash is freelance jobs or re-selling cars/properties etc, there is no middle ground between law abiding citizen to hard-core gangstha, and that should be changed, where you can do small dumb things that results in a small fee or citation at best. some examples of such crimes could be: collecting metal from streets ( stealing manhole covers, benches, metallic wire etc) which you can trade for a cash or other goodies at some NPC's, other example is siphoning fuel from goverment/player cars and re-selling that fuel to gas stations (NPC) or players so they get access to cheap fuel for which they have no safety standards, as it can be mixed with solvents, or even water to boost volume. Another stupid example could be pick-pocketing people for wallets and some items in their storage, which could be done standing relatively close to someone and doing some minigame (NOT THE RING, SEE MY POST ABOUT WHY IT IS TRASH), and if you succeed you get access to the player whom you are trying to pickpocket personal inventory, if you fail there could be that small /ame style like notification pops up, and if the player doesn't see it, its his fault, and player could try again to pickpocket. Another example of dumb crimes - stealing items from shops, but not in a robbing manner where you need to take care of CCTV's and stuff like that, just a casual bottle or cigar slides into pocket without being seen on cctv, instead shop npc clerk has 50% of chance seeing you, and if he does, he presses "red button" giving a silent alarm to PD. Anyways, TL:DR - anyone can think of a great examples (mine are doubtful to be such) on how to make this a better player experience, but the problem is that 1 out of 99 suggestions even gets picket up, and 1 out of 99 of such suggestions gets implemented after years of people nagging about it. I get it, developing might be hard or even hardcore as I have 0 knowledge about it, and maybe there is some limitations to this, but due the fact that this project is having a donations, IMO people wishes should be taken better care off.
  6. Agree on most of it, especially how bugged animals can be with disappearingband/or randomly teleportating. I my experience, 10-20 percent of animals has this behavior and I couldn't make any connections as on what obstacles cause it. Would be cool if animals could spawn anywhere outside city limits, it would just be that chances of spawning would differ from place to place, and such "spots" for higher chances to animal spawn would randomly change location, so Noone would be possible to memories few spots and grind on them.
  7. Don't count on this being fixed, instead just use auto hotkey or other software like that, it works pretty well for especially "fixing" server sided issues, same goes for /resync which you need to do every time you enter vehicle with hat and it dissapeares for you, list of such "hot fixes" just go on and on...
  8. Another sad thing to mention is, that with 99.99% propability nothing will change. Rarely any voice of non-affiliated parties is heard.
  9. As solo can confirm that each new update doesn't give as much good aftertaste as it should, or maybe I'm just taking it all wrong, who knows. This is a true police state at the moment. It is hard to get up financially knowing how fucked up chopping and cooking is at the moment, can't also not mention promised drug update, nowadays this topic is severely ignored from devs side. Pay attention, That in every new post of updates in discord, many people react with letters reading "drugs?" this means something about what player base wants, and higher management imo should listen to that. They could have ignoring people without any hesitation, if this was not supported via donations. To add some suggesstions: 1) make cooking equipment available from furniture shops, but higher priced than from gangs, thus everyone in theory can have setup for cooking if they want, but it is cheaper if you interact with gang (hence the rp opportunities) 2) do a fricking drug update already, so people can grow weed at their desired place, be it outside home or inside, then they can either process and use for small benefit (+1hp per one smoke action for example) or sell to Npcs or players for monetary gain 3) remove circle jer*ing minigame, it is not working stable at all (see one of my posts), instead, change it to some sort of minigame where you need to use your brain and not muscle memory, for example, get answer to mathematical equations 4) make new ways for crimes to get money/power/stuff be it siphoning gas from vehicles, robbing NPC houses for items (another dev work in "progress" that is forgotten already), stealing scrap metal etc etc. Not every crim action should be like stealing banks/cars etc, there are a lot of criminals who do such dumb stuff and be OK with it TL:DR - just add God damn variety to the game, I personally loose interest because there is not much to do, but that might be just me. Just my 2 cents, don't mean no harm to anyone.
  10. Recently I had this interesting talk with one of the news workers about requirement to use at least 5 colors and 2 emojis. I would like to make changes to these requirements, as not everyone needs clown like colors with kid emojis for their advertisement. The reason to me explained as to why the need for colors was - "otherwise weazel news workers look lazy and not looking to work hard for their customers" which makes no sense at all, If a customers wants a plain text with no emojis, it would not make any look on how workers work, instead it would show exactly opposite, that workers TAKE into consideration WHAT and HOW their customers want their advertisement to be portrayed. No hard feelings towards exact individual whom I had this conversation with, instead this is towards PR team of the weazel news. I really hope that this will be taken into consideration, as the customers sets the tone for his/hers advertisement, and not the news employee.
  11. I will try to get some of my perspective, but its not even close as good as in Mr. Thang's perspective. It ruins all aspects for me where this minigame is implemented, simply because its impossible to complete with such lags. Previously, before Rockstar update that fucked up many things, it worked like charm, and only in rarest of occasions it lagged for a few ms ( when the line is in green zone, but doesnt register my keypress in right time ) Maybe it is possible to implement something that is not reaction-based, but instead logicall minigame like orient parts of picture in rotation so it makes one big picture or something like that?
  12. Hello id like to suggest idea - if player have GPS in their possession, they could do something like /readgps and get couple of numbers ( coordinates ) which they can then tell other people, and if those other people enter that number in their GPS as waypoint, they get checkpoint of that place of which /readgps was taken. Not everything resolves around existing addresses like houses, shops etc. Sometimes people want to meet in secluded areas, they could send other people their GPS address, would help improve immersion.
  13. Still wonder, why this has not been reverted as of now. This does not help RP immersion in any way, instead people are just wasting a couple of brain cells each time some of their items are lost because of this lag, causing utter anger and impossibility to play normally as it was before. It should not be that hard to just revert to old system, where you had to wait some time for action to be completed, instead of spamming space on your keyboard and trying to keep in mind where the ring should be at what time, its just doesn't make any sense! When the game is fixed, place this sistem back and players will be happy for that, maybe even pay more in "donations"
  14. +1 for the suggestion, as for per prices, they can be fine tuned in the process of this.
  15. Since last update for GTA minigame that worked almost flawlessly in before, now is ruined due to the lag. One can say to just adjust time of space press to the lag, but that is just a lazy workaround. What i suggest is to reverse all the minigames with plain wait time as it was in past, or maybe even make it longer than it was to adjust for difficulty. Once Rockstar decides to patch things up ( if ever ) then this system can be reversed. Because of these issues, player actions are rather limited, which sucks ass IMO. *** UPDATE *** After giving it a little bit of thinking, my intention is not to purge the minigame as such, but just shape this activity to be not dependent on muscle memory and / or internet connection or anything around that, instead minigame could be changed to some sort of intellectual game, where you need to solve small riddle, or mathematical equation to get answer, or anything in general that promotes using brain rather than just pressing a button at right time.
  16. This is exactly what i have thought, /resync can be made from server side automatically when player enters car. Its annoying to do /resync every time you re-enter car.
  17. It might be just me, but it gets annoying that you have to do /resync every time you enter car in order for your characters hat not to dissappear on your screen. Isn't there any esy fix available to it?
  18. I have somewhat kind of similar suggestion posted long time ago:
  19. One simple suggestion is to implement couple of recycling depositary bins around some place in town - All of the trash that currently is unable to be sold at pawn shop ( empty soda cans, broken bottle, spoiled food) could be recycled and there would be small monetary cashback for being a responsible human and recycling trash. Currently a lot of trash is left on almost all areas, of course we have 24h timer for each item, but in reality this timer would be way longer above any average human lifespan, so in theory Los Santos would pile up in endless trash mountains quickly if there wouldn't be such server hardware limitations. However, the best realistic approach would be recycling depositary bins, which would give small monetary gain, thus it would encourage the residents of Los Santos not to throw trash away. Another benefit for this implementation is the great RP opportunity for someone who is roleplaying being poor or homeless - they could collect such trash and then deposit it in recycling bin to get some cash. Or just another way for roleplaying being a eco-friendly person who takes extra step to eliminate unnecessary pollution. Don't see any downsides besides some little extra work load for developers.
  20. Hello, I think it would be a beneficiary and easy to implement simple feature that would allow players to choose if they want or don't want to listen to ambient background sounds (such as distant police chases, random roadwork sounds, helis flying around etc. ) To do this there is such line that can be added to the clientside from server: mp.game.audio.startAudioScene("CHARACTER_CHANGE_IN_SKY_SCENE"); Now since someone want and someone doesn't want to have those, there could be made a simple ON/OFF cmd for just that, like /vol ambient 0-100%
  21. Yes sir, i do the same, actually keeping gta sfx volume one division more than mute, it helps to hear people better, but still does not eliminate fact that it doea not work on people who are having big / smol gain of their mics, on the other side, having a hotkey for /vol Proximity helps to quickly adjust the levels. Its more like a hot fix, than actual fix on the matter.
  22. A simple solution to make car audio more realistic, open up some RP possibilities. It would be cool if the following could be made: 1) people could buy car subwoofer audio system from LSC/bayview, this might or might not add additional subwoofer item model in trunk, based if its possible to make it or not. 2) sound is rendered a bit differently - realistically lower audio frequencies propogate further in distance compared to higher frequency spectrum parts of human hearable frequency range. Thus it is relatively easy to sepperate sound from car speakers in, lets say, 3 categories - low, mid, high frequencies. Each category gets a different range on how far it can be heard if the subwoofer is installed. If it is not installed, it remains as it is now with car speakers. Frequency seperation and limits can be furter adjusted/diacussed if needed. Benefits: Additional RP opportunities, some people might enjoy simply listening to songs only in their cars, but for those who like to show off in flashy street cars, will be able to install subwoofers to increase their bass distance for others (increase in distance, not volume levels). LSC and Bayview gets anothet way to make some money. Please dont hestitate to leave your ideas regarding this toppic!
  23. A simple way how to prevent situations like: 1) Player A mic is low, none can hear him properly 2) player B mic is ear raping everyone around 3) Player A and B are in the same spot, and none hears A but B Simple solution would be, to make CMD that would equalize ALL volume of the users, in respectively same way as it is currently with /vol Proximity, /vol radio, etc. Instead of user selecting appropriate sound levels, player could set one certain sound level to which all sound will be equalized. This can be simply done and would not require big computing power, as code would analyze volume levels and set + or - gain to them. Scenario: Player sets his /vol proximity to lets say 98 dB , so if someone is using his mic on 124dB, it would cut it down to those 98 dB, and if someone has its mic to 87dB, it gains it till it reaches user set value, in this case 98 dB. Benefits: IF this function can be properly implemented, people would not have to adjust /vol proximity; /vol radio etc each time someone is knowingly or unknowingly ear-raping or speaking low Please leave your thoughts if this can be implemented / improve gameplay.
  24. Have countered similar issue couple of times ( not captured yet ) where some short time after stopping car, turning off engine and exiting, it "magically" re-appears in slightly other place in front within split second, one time it happened in the middle of refueling car, it just showed usual message that appears when your cars fuel tank is full, but that time it got "tp'ed" 15-30 meters behind fuel tank
