  1. You say that the only way to initiate RP conflict is through robbery, but then you tell me that there is a lot of background diplomacy and it's not just "rob, kill, steal, talk shit". So cause RP conflict through those means, rather than robbing a random player in the middle of the street. You're not making any sense. If you think robbery is the only thing that can start an RP conflict, then you're just simply bad at RPing, especially when you just admitted that there is more to it then that. Rules specifically say you can kill someone with reason. It specifically says so in the rules, why are you making it seem otherwise? Above are "examples", that does not mean those are the only valid reasons to attack another player. Maybe you guys are just not understanding or are simply refusing to. It's what makes me think you just want a DM server. Maybe instead of hating someone and wanting to put a bullet in them, begin by talking trash to him. Instigate a fight, then pull out a gun. Be creative for crying out loud, otherwise yes I'll assume you're a griefer or DMer.
  2. I think a lot of people here don't understand what it means to be playing on the RP server. While that's fine, many of the same people choose to have no regard in trying to understand it and realize the potential enjoyment they may obtain by doing it correctly. So far on the server, most of the roleplaying I experienced always had rulebreaking involved. It was so bad that now I have to record my screen 24/7 to make people accountable for breaking the rules. So sorry, but most of these players aren't RPers but rather griefers/Dmers and therefore I don't have any regard to them or their playstyle. Robbing someone most likely with nothing, is stupid. I literally been robbed when I was a new player on the server. Told the guy in broad daylight, in the middle of the road, that he's stupid for robbing someone who has nothing and is doing it in a public area. He fled the scene, after randomly shooting me for nothing. Anyway, I think I sent a message more than he did. If your RP consists of revenge, then maybe you need to be a bit more creative. "I'mma rob people for the revenge RP", just sounds terrible. I don't see your point at all. There is also no revenge involved when about 99% wears masks, both criminals and citizens, which the officers literally do nothing about. I can't even figure out who anyone is because they're always masked. How you supposed to send a message when no one knows who you are, sad. Anyway, robbing someone is not necessary to create an rp scenario. Try talking with them instead of robbing them. There are better ways to follow someone. Most of these gangs are running with sports cars with neon lights and masks and somehow believe that if AI existed, that they wouldn't stand out. Trust me, even if the streets were full, I would notice you all. Cops can also shoot people at high speed spaces if they pose a threat, they also have sirens to make cars move out of the way. Furniture should be heavier and should require a truck for transportation, but I'm not the developer. Again, I am not the one in charge of recipes or how drug selling works in the game either, but I'm also against it. This is part of the reason why people go suggest new things for the server. As for killing cops and being arrested for the day, obviously at the end of the day we're still playing a game. Everything cannot be 100% realistic, but keeping it as real as possible without making someone be in jail for years should be something we seek to do. Not everything has to be realistic, sure. But the opposite argument is to completely ignore realism altogether. Basically let everyone kill each other and rob each other without any regard. Yeah that sure will be a fun game! Until people leave the server and join one with actual roleplay. It's only fun when you're in the faction with exclusive weapons to grief the public. Also the rules under non-roleplay, states you must promote quality roleplay and do actions which are realistic. Also if cops are using fully automatic rifles, that's pretty lame. You tell me to be civil, yet you tell me to put my head out of my ass. How about you guys learn to RP?
  3. All banks should be competing with one another and obtaining your salary, should be possible from all banks. We should have checking accounts, saving accounts, and being able to obtain loans from every bank. The interests are what they should all fight over. Furthermore, banks should compete over ATMs, where if you use an ATM owned by another bank you'll have to pay a service fee. ATMs inside of player's businesses can also charge users a fee for their own profit.

    Job progression

As of right now, the only real way of making "real" money is being part of a illegal faction or government/server legal faction. We should be able to progress in scripted legal jobs.
  5. Suggestion Thirst should continue to drain faster then hunger. Add three types of food qualities, being low, medium, and high. Higher quality foods will drain your hunger slower. Gas stations and convenience stores should only be allowed to sell low quality foods. Fast food restaurants should sell medium quality foods. Restaurants should sell high quality foods. All foods, whether in the store or in an inventory, should have an expiration date. When a business buys more orders of a food, it will average the expiration date of current foods and the foods they're going to obtain. Expiration time can be different depending on food and should be for at least a real life week or longer. The cost for businesses to obtain higher quality foods will be more expensive than low quality ones. Should not be able to eat if you're full. Player's drain for hunger is based on the average of the last 5 foods you ate, so you need to keep eating high quality food to reap it's benefits. Reason Improves the economy, overall more food will be consumed and wasted. Adds risk to businesses where they cannot put absurd prices and contain food on their shelves forever. Adds new businesses, restaurants and fast food! Makes a difference between foods, which currently there is none. Taco bomb becomes more useful, selling medium quality foods allowing it to compete over convenience stores and gas stations.
  6. We need this, had a new player ask me for a soda and can't believe I couldn't provide it.
  7. No, I'm that guy that if you RP correctly, I'll pay you for it. I'm no where near rich either. I've even provided big wire transfers to people who gave me a ride and don't ask for money. Simple, if you're a good RPer, whether you're from a gang or just citizen, you're gonna like me. If you break the rules, I will be your worst enemy.
  8. Yeah not a fan of that either. Also when I did do my jobs, I did RP while doing them and corrected numerous of players for failing to do so.
  9. You guys get so triggered so easily with truth bombs. You don't even know what a griefer is I bet. In real life, people don't go to low key areas if they don't have to. You're wanting to force people to go their so you can grief them. Sad when you think RP means rob simulator.
  10. Or... maybe you can be more creative. You're not thinking like an Rper, but rather like a griefer or a DMer. Instead of treating this like a game where all you're caring about is getting money, think as if you were an actual criminal doing a crime while trying not to get caught. You can easily lure players to low key areas without the need of scripts or features to do it. I can come up with so many ways of doing it, but I don't wanna mention them because then people could use it against others and even myself. I also don't want to ruin my plans if I decide to become a criminal. However I'll give you a tip. Most players are not going to trust anyone that cover their identity, have visible weapons, and drive around in sports cars. So maybe try something different instead of blaming the rules. Think about it. Even in real life, if you see a bunch of gangsters, you're not going to want to talk to them and if they talk to you, chances are it's not for a good intention so you're gonna try to avoid the conversation and leave.
  11. There should be a priority in what officers take fist, not sure if that already exists. Robbing a store should be high on that list, above player robbery, speeding, or other minor offenses. Also that's not the point, it is not realistic for everyone to be running into public buildings with weapons and covered faces, therefore it is non-rp. If we don't have the officers to enforce it, scripts should assist them. Same how we use AI for stores.
  12. Here are some questions you guys should seriously ask before you let people in the server. "Explain in detail how you would attempt a robbery, both towards another player or business." A real rper would know how to properly rob within the game and it would test their knowledge about the rules. It's a very difficult question and that's the point. I get it that many people aren't going to be professionals, but we also don't want people getting on and breaking rules. You also know damn well that this is the main thing majority of players want to do once they enter the server anyway. So make sure they know how to do it, before they try it. "What does roleplay mean to you?" Another answer that would weed out players who think this is GTA Online. Many people, as an example by the forums and in-game, don't even know what RP even means. They don't even know what they're RPing as. Instead they keep saying they "want to have fun" and don't want the server to be based off of "real life".
  13. Except, that would notify the police. Or at least it should. And yeah, we should try to make it as realistic as possible because when I go into every store/bank/police department and there are thugs with bandanas, bats, and guns, you know there is a real issue in roleplay.
  14. That's like saying remove all GUI because it's an IC issue. Like a human should actually be behind a cash register for every store in order to purchase it. Or a teller should be at a bank in order to do transactions and whatnot. There are limits, which is where a script becomes handy.
  15. So maybe do a command before those 30 seconds to tell the system that you're robbing the store and therefore wouldn't be kicked out.
  16. In reality, an employee, security guard, or the owner, would kick you out. Being that we're restricted to a game where we don't have the people to do things like that, it should exist.

    Economic Markets

The economic aspect of the game I think is pretty basic. Would love to see it actually become alive and I really think if done right, it would make the game far more enjoyable. I mean I'm seeing most food go for hundreds of dollars and doing basic jobs going from A to B also give hundreds, sometimes thousands. The supply and demand isn't really there either. Anyone who took the trucker job realized that there is not enough demand or players, to even make that job worth pursing, unless it's just on the side. Many items don't get used often, nor do they spoil, or simply only get purchased once and never be bought ever again. There is just too much problems with it currently. I have a business degree and could help the server if they need to build an actual economy, but many changes have to be made for that to even work.

    Toll Cameras

It seriously worries me that I'm constantly getting replies from people that have no idea what roleplay is or what's a roleplay server. Entertain me, what exactly is roleplay to you? Just think for a bit. This is a strict roleplay server where failure to roleplay or roleplaying poorly is punishable. We are roleplaying to coincide with realism as much as possible. There is already a speed cam in the city as it is anyway. So again, we either remove speed limits (which would be terrible) or we enforce them as we would in real life. The PD is already overburden with calls, they're understaffed and that's why they don't respond to calls so quickly. Also why would they waste their time with a speeding ticket? I wonder how many of them have ever given anyone a speeding ticket outside of the speed cam in the city.
  19. Players wearing a mask or bandana in a store, bank, or any other government building, should have 30 seconds to take it off or they get kicked out of the store and respawn at the front. If a player enters a police department with a mask/bandana they should also have 30 seconds to take it off or they get kicked out front and receive a fine. It's ruining the RP experience seeing players with masks and bandanas concealing themselves without any penalty or reason to be wearing them.

    GPS Speed Limit

Would be nice if right above the direction indicator at the bottom left corner, it would show the speed limit for the area if you own a GPS. It's one of the benefits of actually owning a GPS. Signs seen throughout the streets of speed limits are clearly not real indicators for the actual speed limit. Players also cannot see the tutorial from the DMV, nor does the DMV give you that information once you complete the DMV quiz. I'm a returning player, I don't remember the speed limits and it's unrealistic to ask people what the speed limit when there are signs and you own a GPS.

    Toll Cameras

True, if you pass a toll road in RL nowadays, they'll take a screenshot of your license plate and will send a bill to your mail. Should work this way too, it's realistic and makes sense. We also need way more speed cams, even highways. Either remove speed limits or enforce them, otherwise it's just pointless.
  22. I'm not following you. Sure, these rules limit criminal RP, but it does so for the right reasons. In a living breathing society filled with millions of people, you'll most not likely not do something criminal out in public or to someone completely at random with absolutely no gain, and if you do, expect to be caught. Currently, you wouldn't get caught in-game, because the only witnesses are actual players that cannot fill the amount of streets and roads as an actual city. Also this doesn't eliminate criminal RP, it just restricts robbery. No one says you can't shoot up a rival gang out in the open. Simply the rule means that if you're going to commit a crime, do it somewhere low-key. For an RPer, this should be easy. Players just have to be more creative in how they rob players, including regular pedestrians that look like they have some actual cash on them.
  23. Summary of this discussion. "I don't know how to RP so I need to rob people in broad daylight and in public places to do so. Otherwise I'm not playing or I'll stop playing! Let me also show you some videos of criminals who were caught on camera, were most likely caught and arrested, knowing the same outcome is not possible in a limited 3D, programmed world, where a city only consists of at peak, 600 players rather than 3 million like Los Angeles, which Los Santos is based off of. Also what is roleplay? I came here to have fun and somehow passed the vetting process and have played this way for months!"
  24. Date and time (provide timezone): Always. Character name: Leoric Wick Issue/bug you are reporting: It's difficult enter the farmer's green van with the 'F' button. Expected behavior: Van should behave like every other vehicle. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Found the best way to enter the van is through the passanager's side, being slightly away from it. Usually takes me awhile to try and get into the van and if another vehicle is nearby, it only gets harder to do. It's been so frustrating that I quit the job. To replicate the bug, just spawn the transporter van and try to enter it pressing 'F'.
