I joined in 2020 and I think you've always had to be very careful around ensuring you follow the rules to the letter - I don't really think it's a bad thing but at the same time it does put me off engaging in certain roleplay. I do think the introduction of some rules, such as spitting being included as gross rp and needing to ask for consent, are wrong and do takeaway from what was once a very fun and immersive environment. This is an 18+ game where in singleplayer you are able to get lap dances, kill cops, have sex with prostitutes and then kill them afterwards. Why are we censoring things so much? I think what also made the problem worse was that I came from SAMP where it was much more like the wildwest, but it was really really fun. However, you have to understand that with an aging playerbase people are naturally going to lose interest or not have the time to play anymore so you're going to see a new era of players - those who haven't experienced being killed on sight in SAMP or being called every slur under the sun. I believe a lot of the rules we have in place now are the result of this. With that being said though, I do believe admins are doing more to try and help the creation of unique fun rp events rather than just the copy + paste labs rolling and gunfights. Also - a lot of the new rules come as a result of people moaning because they lost a situation. A lot of people continue to engage in RP to win mentality, I don't care about being the richest or most powerful and that's how it should be; yeah it's great if you can get there but if you lose it through dumb actions, take that and roll with it. Sorry lad but I don't agree with some of your points; "Limiting the vehicle speed from 240 km/h (150 mph) to a more manageable 160 km/h (100 mph) since most citizens are not race car drivers, trained to operate high speed vehicles at excessive speeds." You don't have to be a trained race car driver to drive any modern-ish car above 100mph, especially on long, open and quiet roads in the city and on the highway, especially when most cars have been modified to reach and cope with such speeds or "maxed" as people refer to it on the server. In the real world, it's pretty easy to get an everyday modern standard car to 100mph+ so placing a speed limit on vehicles at 100mph would be extremely unrealistic. "Once you total your vehicle, it's scrapped and you can't use it again." Whilst I agree somewhat with this, I believe it would just become a salvage or categorised title making it devalued and more prone to totaling again. "If you commit certain felonies, you permanently forfeit your character's driving license." I've never once heard of a permanent driving ban, even in the UK, but regardless of this; losing your license on the server has very little impact on people besides from being unable to release your car from the impound and also acting as another reason for crims to felony evade. I'd recommend longer suspensions though as a 2 day license suspension/having your cars impounded for 2 days isn't really that much of a big deal. I personally believe it would be more realistic if PD/SD used more realistic but highly tuned vehicles, such as the Sultan RS.

LAPD have a Lambo that was donated to them to be used at charitable events, you wouldn't see one chasing down a Nissan Skyline (Elegy Retro) or a Porsche 911 (Comet) Also, the unmarked Vapid Stanier, especially when driven by @Samuel Martin, seems to somehow keep up with the Comet and can pit it, unlike supers, so not really sure why a T20 is needed...

In real life, the Police would not be able to arrest somebody just based on another person's accusation. They require evidence. I'd recommend roleplaying purchasing a GoPro or DashCam and then using some kind of Instant Replay software as this can be used, providing you have evidence of this being RPly installed/configured/setup.
