it is already non-RP to use a work vehicle for non-work related activities.

If reported the person will be dealt with.

I already address this in my original post: I reported with the video provided (as noted in my original topic) and quoted the NonRP rule in the /rm to the administrator.  I was asked if they committed any crimes and was told nothing could be done as he did not.  I was told it was not a violation because it was not one of the examples listed in the rules which is why I made the topic to update the rules to add this to the examples.

Suffice to say if an adminstrator does not realize this is an NonRP rule break (as you are now saying it is) then I doubt the average player realizes it is.  I do not see why changing the line from "Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water." to " Spawning a scripted work vehicle to use for non-work purposes or submerging any vehicle in water." (or whatever is appropriate wording) would cause any issues.

  2. There was a recent update on Discord about requiring mechanics and tow trucks to unflip vehicles, but the analogous situation for taxi drivers is not addressed.  Currently if anyone dies and shows up at pillbox they can immediately get a bus from the bus depot and drive anywhere they want. This is also the same for bank to anywhere with courier truck, parking garage (either bus or money transport) and high end / bahama mama area with the taco truck.

While the rules has an example about using work vehicles for crimes (which obviously should not be done) there is no reason this shouldn't be expanded to included any non-work related activity with the work vehicle.  There is no way your courier company is going to let you take their truck to Sandy Shores to ditch it where your car is (clearly falling under "Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay." in the non-rp rule section).  Unfortunately the examples of rules are currently used as set in stone to be the the only ways to break said rules and not just examples of nature of the rule. (I did a /report and was essentially told this).

Just for fun here is a video ( https://streamable.com/o3xbq ) of me on standby in a taxi while a player runs past me (within a few feet even) runs to the depot and drives over the hill towards Sandy Shores / Mine. I am 99% sure there is no route that goes this way and the player made 0 bus stops on the way.  In this case even if no taxis were available he should be attempting to use a city bee, not a city bus.

While I do not think we need an example for everything possible (despite being told that is the case) I do feel this clarification is necessary because it clearly affects an official faction with 52 members negatively by bypassing their RP.

  3. +1, though if they log in once a month I think that's fine, but I think the current limit to lose your house is something insane like 3 or 4 months.  Reducing the time to 1 month from 3 or 4 (or whatever it currently is) would help drastically.  I have a similar situation where I check the door / lock on a few unlocked properties to see if they are still unlocked and to check to see if they are up for sale yet (been at least 2 months on them as well).

-1 to player owned clothing stores and tattoo shops (unless the NPC versions are still available), the rest seems fine.  Our player driven economy is pretty shit as you can see with the Gun Stores and the only way to break out of that is for a non-scummy person to buy a gun store to make the prices remotely fair to everyone.  As it stands criminals (and people who know the owners) pay less than half for their guns because their owners give them the real price while everyone else pays rip off prices (e.g. .50 for ~4.5k vs ~10k).

However, new players aren't going to get these it will be bought up by some ultra rich player whose been around for years just like they always do.  They would need to add some sort of 'update to scripted general (or gun) store' option to regular business properties for new players to even consider getting into a business.  The last business to get sold was a Gas Station for 14.6 million.  The server economy is basically totally fucked in that regard with no opportunity for new players to even consider taking part in owning a real business.  Nevermind the fact that almost all of the business are owned by criminals who shouldn't even be allowed to own business like that to begin with (especially gun stores).

While giving Jeremy Monaco his car a man came in and kicked the car. Jeremy would go on to shoot the man right inside of Motorsport.  The cops came when the man called about the shooting then Jeremy, Letov and Eric were detained for questioning  Jeremy received a new Rancher XL on his way to prison.

After facing a sentence for an unlicensed firearm Jeremy met a corrections officer that helped set him straight. He is now seeking employment at the DOC.

Congratulations to Rowan Benson on his new Ingot!

  5. Need to add a way to impound / tow motorcycles even if it is only by doing a slash command with a tow truck to load them into the truck to remove at the destination (or an command that sends them to impound that requires the tow to go to impound to complete the command).  Currently the bank is overrun with bikes illegally parked which the cops should be able to handle IC (though it is also an OOC issue since it causes a lot of people to lag), but cannot due to tow trucks not having flatbeds or whatever is needed.  Requiring an OOC method to fix this problem (admin manually clearing them) when it should be ICly handled by mechanics / police.

    nWb1kjF.png

Later Paul Lanyard would defraud the charity and claim a second vehicle.  What a true piece of shit stealing from a charity!

Congratulations to Jeremy Williamson on his new truck!

However, there was an unfortunate 'accident' in the parking lot after he got his vehicle!

The medics quickly arrived to the scene and helped the injured men.

Later at the bank Jeremy informed us that he crashed his car and the 'engine is broken'.  However, at the bank Eric and Letov observed his truck drive by with a cop in tow.

Letov and Eric's Cars; For Under Pars

Founders: Eric Demarco and Letov Vladislav

Letov and Eric's Cars; For Under Pars is a charitable non-profit organization aimed at getting people a running start in the city by getting them their first new car.  As taxi drivers Letov and Eric saw the struggles that people coming into the city go through before getting a vehicle.  Through these experiences they were inspired to create this charity to help people.

This program also helps the local economy by putting extra cash in the pockets of new citizens, providing extra trucking jobs and money for the salesmen at the car dealerships.  It also helps get Warreners off the road as they are not purchased for the program!

Feel free to contact us about any donations you wish to pledge to the charity to be added to our donators list.  100% of donations will go towards purchasing and giving away cars.  We accept cash and cars as donations (cars will be valued at approximate dealership stock cost).

    Joy Ryder $2,000 - Tony Rodgers $1,000

Careful when dealing with these individuals as they are willing to defraud charitable organizations:

  10. Date and time (provide timezone): (Happening since around 11-4-2019)

    Character name: Eric Demarco

Issue/bug you are reporting: Setting Cruise Control to a lower speed than you are traveling causes the engine to stall.

Expected behavior:  Car slows to new speed without stalling

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate

    Steps:

    1. Set Cruise Control to 130 (or 110)

    2. Advance speed to 130 (or 110)

    3. Set cruise control to 70 while traveling 130 (or 110)

    4. Notice the car stalls immediately instead of slowing to 70.

  11. In Los Angeles they do not go from Red to yellow to green, the go Red to Green to Yellow to Red (starting point).

I agree the lights are funky, but our penal code only says you need to yieled at traffic signals, so just treat them as a stop sign if anything but green and it's okay.

  12. I wouldn't mind seeing an option to see smaller signatures instead of completely on/off. People could have 2 variants of their signatures and one would be required to be a certain dimension maximum and the other would be as it is now.  Currently I have them all off (and have basically since I frequented the forum) but would not mind seeing some smaller sized signatures to see who the people are instead of only their forum name.

  13. That is because basically everyone else on the forum put their signature in their signature (hence I do not see them).. and this topic is about obnoxiously large signatures.  Yours is/was a 1000x563 image with just your name in block text when the entire text fits in 678x70 space.  Just kind of fit the bill.

  14. What's more annoying are the people who manually put their gigantic ass picture at the end of every post (not even in the signature). I have signatures disabled and have to manually make adblock rules for these people putting signatures in the body of their posts (Hi Jimmy Mayweather) which ultimately doesn't work because he is manually uploading the file each time, but at least he'll run out of forum upload space eventually.

The thing is, its not a computer that is selling properties, it is people, and people want a fixed sum up front, rather than someone who will pay over time.

The person selling will be in 1 of 2 situations:

    1. You stop playing, they have to deal with refund requests while their house is neutral.

    2. they want the money so they can buy something, not wanting to wait 2 months till you can pay the full price.

The person selling could still get the full amount while the person buying pays off some NPC.
