Please note that this faction thread is completely out-of-character. No information from this thread should be used in-character. Originally, Los Santos only had one mechanic shop. After some time of them operating as the sole mechanic shop in the city, a second was opened under the name, Biggs' Premium Motor Works. The new shop was opened in the southern part of the city down next to the Los Santos International Airport. Eventually, Biggs resigned, and the shop was renamed Bayview Auto Center by the new management at the time. Bayview Auto Center continued to operate in the southern end of the city for several years where operations thrived. In April 2020 it was decided to move Bayview Auto Center to Paleto Bay where it has continued to offer all of its services. Bayview offers four types of mechanic services; repairs, modifications, roadside repairs and vehicle towing. Besides that, Bayview is always collaborating with other government companies helping them out on their duties, such as impounding vehicles and providing our assistance with their organised events. Repairs Bayview offers both visual and engine repairs for all sorts of vehicles at our shop. Modifications We also offer a range of modification options for most cars, motorcycles, and boats. Some examples of modifications we offer are paint jobs, performance upgrades, and bodywork, which can all be done at our shop. Roadside Repairs Our roadside vehicles are equipped with a variety of tools and parts, which can be used for minor engine and visual repairs away from the shop. Towing Service We are equipped with tow trucks and flatbeds, which both have winches installed. These are used for transporting cars and motorcycles to places like gas stations, vehicle flips, and impounds. Owner The CEO of the company represents the company in talks with the Government. Also makes sure that the day-to-day workflow runs smoothly. The Owner also has the final decision when it comes to promotions, demotions, and dismissals. The Owner is also responsible for enforcing policies and ensuring that the High Command performs its duties. Co-Owner The owner’s right-hand and most trusted advisor helps with whatever the owner needs and ensures company rules and policies are implemented when necessary. General Manager(s) General Manager(s) are the third-in-command at Bayview. They relay messages between the Owner(s) and Manager(s). Helps make decisions and implement changes for the company, alongside the Owner(s). They ensure that the management team are performing their duties as they should. Manager(s) Managers oversee all mechanics, follow good work standards, and actively communicate with other members of management including promotions, human resources tasks, and other miscellaneous topics. They are involved with the high-level decision-making talks surrounding the operation of the company. Supervisor(s) Supervisors are experienced in all mechanic work and are considered to have exemplary conduct and workability. They are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work of employees and enforcing Bayview policies. Supervisors are able to issue suspensions, and fire employees with Manager's permission. At this rank, a supervisor is eligible to become a director of a division if there is an opening. Assistant Supervisor(s) As one of the first management ranks, Assistant Supervisors assist with the day-to-day operations and directly report to a Supervisor. Assistant Supervisors are able to issue contracts to Trainees and are there to help other employees with their tasks when required and are the first point of contact between employees and management. At this rank, an Assistant Supervisor is eligible to become an Assistant Director of a division if there is an opening. Senior Mechanic An accomplished mechanic that should serve as an example for up-and-coming mechanics at Bayview. Often works with new trainees to help them get settled at Bayview. Mechanic An employee who takes care of their tasks well knows the rules and can advise other employees. They are also fully capable of handling tasks by themselves and do not need additional training beyond that already given to them. Junior Mechanic An employee who has just passed the training period and has shown a good work ethic and ability. Also knows basic rules and procedures and has the enthusiasm to keep learning. Trainee Recently hired at Bayview, works on basic tasks while learning the trade. This is a probationary period in which the trainee will need to prove themselves. The training period lasts a minimum of 2 weeks, and a maximum of 5 weeks. After the training period ends they will be assessed and Management will decide whether or not they will progress to Junior Mechanic. Probationary Trainee Felons are offered a chance to reform by the Department of Corrections. They are hand-picked by the members of the Felon Reformation division at the Department of Corrections. Works as a regular mechanic on basic tasks with fewer permissions. Management A division including the Owner(s), Manager(s), Supervisor(s) & Assistant Supervisor(s). They are in charge of the employees and the facilities at Bayview. General Operations The operations manager(s) are in charge of planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of Bayview. They ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the company as a whole. Human Resources Responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, and placing workers. They may also handle employee relations. Human Resources-members consult with the management team to identify needs and preferred qualifications for future employees. Public Relations Maintains mutual relations and understanding between Bayview and the public. They improve the channels of communication and institute new ways of setting up a flow of information and understanding between the company and other companies/organizations. Training Division Makes sure every employee is properly trained and ensures that the quality of training at Bayview is high. Trainers are knowledgeable and experienced mechanics who have been chosen and trusted by (Assistant) Head(s) of Training to perform their duties as trainers. Our recruitment process is separated into three parts: Application Process Bayview is constantly recruiting new members for entry-level mechanic positions. Our application form can be found on Bayview's recruitment forums, where you should also read the other important information. The following requirements must be met for your application to be considered: - You must have at least 5000 experience on the character you are applying with. - You need to have a clean admin record of at least 14 days from when you submit your application. Interview Process If you pass the application phase, then you will be invited for an in-character interview. This interview will be used to judge your ability to roleplay and communicate effectively. Training Phase If your interview is accepted, you will be invited to join the faction and complete your training. The training can be the most difficult part of the recruitment process for some, as it is very roleplay intensive. It can also be fairly difficult because mechanic RP has a learning curve to it, and can be difficult for some to learn. The initial training will teach you the basics of mechanic RP, where you will learn how to roleplay basic engine and visual repairs, and how to roleplay some types of modifications. We will also teach you how to use the tow trucks and flatbeds. After your training, we will provide you with resources where you can learn more about how to service cars, and will also provide feedback as time goes on. "Have a Bayview Day!"
