  14. Carson Avenue Ballas ( AKA Front Yard Ballas) History: The Ballas are an African-American street gang based in Los Santos. Most of their territory can be found in the poorer/run-down neighborhoods to the far east of the city. They are involved in gangbanging, gang warfare, street violence, prostitution, gang-related homicide, murder, drug trafficking/manufacturing (especially the crack cocaine trade), gun-running/arms trafficking, vandalism, and degeneracy. They are easily identifiable by wearing purple clothing as their gang color. The Ballas have been around since the 1970s Specific information regarding where or how they formed is unknown. However, it is likely that the Ballas evolved either from Glen Park or Jefferson since Idlewood and possibly Willowfield were controlled by the Grove Street Families prior to 1987 and since East Los Santos was split between the Grove Street Families and the Vagos prior to 1992. The Ballas have a history of a traditional, intense, and bloody rivalry with the Grove Street Families. Specifically when the gang war started is unknown, but the rivalry between the two gangs was in full swing as early as 1987. Prior to 1992, the Ballas used to control the area of Temple - which is under control of the Temple Drive Families in 1992. The Ballas became major influential players in the crack-cocaine using the tactic of selling drugs in the enemies turf to weaken the gang and then take over. Remained dominant until the late 1990’s until the police wiped out Front yard Ballas in a huge gang sting. Joey being kicked out of Vagos and co operating with the Ballas on grove street. They decided to let him run his own set. He named this gang Carson Avenue Ballas AKA Front yard ballas. Despite their rivalry with the Los Santos Vagos on the streets, influential members from the Ballas and the Vagos maintain a business partnership for the interest of money and drugs And protection of turf. (Ballas graffiti in chamberlain hills) News and Media: On January 31, 1992, Thomas murdered a man called Carlos Adkins in an apartment in Idlewood by shooting him repeatedly to death. Over a year later on the night of February 22, 1993, about 11 p.m., Los santos Police Officer Kevin Michael Burrell, 29 and Reserve Officer James Wayne MacDonald, 24 made a routine traffic stop in Idlewood at the Pizza stack, on a red 1992 Chevrolet 454 pickup truck being driven by Thomas. As the officers exited their patrol car and approached the pickup truck, Thomas exited his vehicle and opened fire on both officers. Both officers were knocked down to the ground by bullet wounds to their limbs. According to trial testimony, Thomas shot at their heads execution-style. Both officers were wearing bulletproof vests and were found lying face down near their patrol car with their guns holstered. There were nine spent nine-millimeter shell casings in front of the patrol car. Burrell died of multiple gunshot wounds to the arm, face, left foot, and head. MacDonald was also shot four times, in his left armpit, middle back, upper back, and behind the right ear, and died of a gunshot wound to the chest. After the shootings Thomas returned to his truck and drove away. Ballas are always depicted as very violent through the media known for their crimes like extortion, Arms smuggling and Crack cocaine distributing. Car wash: The car wash is used by the Ballas as a hangout spot and where they spend a lot of free time and a main hub for drug trafficking, The gang members realized it would appear less suspicious standing around at a car wash selling drugs then standing on the corner. They also chose this spot because of the view it gives over the train tracks allowing them to see what is happening on the other side of the train tracks. This is conveniently located so that Ballas members can run from police on foot or enemies in case of ambush. Ballin’ Herr Kutz Barber shop: Owned by the Ballas since the late 1980s, This is the location where all of the illegal money that gets laundered goes through. They bring cash into the store, flip it into Legal revenue and use the cash to acquire things like houses and cars. This is a staple in the Ballas gang. Rumors are they also sell guns and crack cocaine in the hours that the barber shop is closed. This is another location they may be spotted hanging out. Current situation: The Ballas control almost the entire community of Davis. Carson avenue is a particular hot spot for activity as well as Davis Avenue, Grove street, Brouge Avenue and Covenant Avenue in the neighborhood. The Ballas also have a Crack Cocaine cooking and packing business set up in an abandoned sawmill to the southwest of Paleto Bay. Slang: Balla: Greeting OG/Original Gangster: A high-ranking, influential and well-respected member. One who has put in a lot of work. FK/Family Killer/Family Killa: Disrespect term used by Ballas for The Families VK/Vago Killer/Vago Killa: Disrespect term used by Ballas for Vagos AK/Azteca Killer/Azteca Killa: Disrespect term used by Ballas for Aztecas Homie/Home Boy/Home Girl: Contemporary street slang - refers to a friend Hood: Neighborhood (Warehouse on Carson avenue the ballas hang around) Goals and future plans: We have certain goals we would like to achieve: 1. They will also often flash Balla gang hand signs while talking and hanging around in groups. Ballas will often get into violent confrontations upon spotting a families member, Azteca, or Vagos gang member. Ballas love to sell crack cocaine by their warehouse and on the corners of the streets. We are either out robbing stores or making drugs specifically crack cocaine. Can be spotted in groups in the hood or on corners in their neighborhoods selling drugs or even acting shady. Ballas love to throw parties and smoke marijuana. We can sometimes be seen stealing enemy vehicles or questioning people around their neighborhood who are not wearing Ballas colors. Ballas graffiti: Not all Balla sets do graffiti, Only certain sets do. Carson avenue Ballas and Kilo-Tray Ballas hold the two most well known Graffiti artists known in the city of Los Santos. These graffiti artists not only spray their graffiti, but they also throw up graffiti for the Ballas set they represent. The artist that belongs to Front yard is UNIT. Unit not only is known around the city for his graffiti but he also loves throwing Ballas tags and Throwies. (Carson avenue Ballas throwie with a blue fill and purple 3D) Rules of a balla: Respect your allies and neutral gangs DO not disrespect the leader. Show other members respect. Attempts to PM faction leaders or members to join the gang will result in immediate rejection. 16. Seville Boulevard Families (SBF) Before Los Santos’s revitalization: In the 1980s, a group of younger African American males around the age of 20 named Devonte, Lil’ Andre, Big Top were influenced by the growing gangs called temple drive families and Orange grove families and deciding they were tired of neighboring Spanish kids coming into Seville and causing issues, they formed SBF also known as the Seville boulevard family, this was an added set to the families, the temple drive families and grove street families were their close Allies, all running under the families alliance. It was not smooth sailing because the Ballas and Vagos started pushing drugs, causing several higher up Seville boulevard family members to get addicted while the same thing happened in the Orange grove families, they were not trying to give in and sell drugs. They wanted to keep the hood clean as possible, however in 1991, temple drive families started selling drugs and getting involved with the Temple drive Ballas set and this caused an issue between Seville and temple drive, causing an issue also then between grove street families and temple drive families. Temple drive had sold drugs in Seville. So in 1991 the gun fire started when the remaining OGs of Seville saw a temple drive families car pushing drugs on the basketball court so they approached and confronted them, which was returned with gunfire. The gunfire killed Joey's father Devonte, who was a high ranking member of Seville, causing Seville to retaliate and go to temple drive where they performed a drive by, Killing 3 Temple drive family members with ak 47’s Thus complicating issues further. Temple drive families fed up of being cut off territory wise and not having a link to the families caused them to change their colors and become part of temple drive Ballas. After the alliance between the only two families sets left disintegrated, Seville kept doing their own thing and protecting their block, doing hits for money and moving guns around the city. Seville numbers were shrinking because of the lucrative drug business and everyone wanted a piece of the action. In 1993, there was a meeting called to reunite the families, but as temple drive ballas showed up, the other sets of the family realized temple drive families who claimed to have switched to families again, betrayed them. Top members of the families were killed and now only the OGS and shotcallers of the Seville were left in the set. Time went on and eventually one of the original gangsters also known Big Devil started a recruiting drive and started gathering new members. Playa del Seville was a car ride away from grove street, but only a stone toss from Vagos territory, Which caused them to go to war in 1994 because A Vagos member robbed several Seville members, and took their vehicles and a shipment of micro uzi’s. Seville seeing this as initiation for war, Ran to take alliance with grove street again because they knew their smaller gang wouldn’t be able to beat Vagos. Once they arrived in grove street, The grove street leader who had just gotten out of jail spoke to the new leader of Seville Big Devil and decided, they had a good thing and if it weren’t for temple drive, None of that situation which caused the falling apart would have happened. The grove street and Seville men then prepared for war, loading up their Tec nines and their AKS and went out driving looking for them, An all out war ensued which left Vagos the victors and Grove street numbers dwindling and every last Seville member dead including Big devil dead. The flats were torn down in the year 1996 to lower the crime rate in the area and the revitalization of Los Santos began. (Seville flats back in the 90's) News and Media before the revitalization: On January 31, 1992, Thomas murdered a man called Carlos Adkins in an apartment in the Seville flats by shooting him repeatedly to death. Over a year later on the night of February 22, 1993, about 11 p.m., Los santos Police Officer Kevin Michael Burrell, 29 and Reserve Officer James Wayne MacDonald, 24 made a routine traffic stop in Seville boulevard, at the intersection by the power plant, on a red 1992 Chevrolet 454 pickup truck being driven by Thomas. After the revitalization: Once the revitalization of Los santos started, The Seville flats were knocked down and the gang had been long gone up until 2018 when Joey now a grown adult came back from liberty city and traveled to carson ave, as the city is not as he remembers it and that’s where seville used to be, Where he saw members of Carson Ave families and saw a familiar face….Big devil had lived. Now in his late 50’s and still had never done anything of his life, saw Joey and ran to him and spoke to him on how he should start Seville back up, Joey declined as he felt he wanted to go legal but he helped Big devil set up Seville boulevard Families on forum drive. Later realizing he has done nothing with his life and wanted to make money the only way he knew how. When offered the opportunity to lead of the Vagos with Big J. Despite him growing up and watching a bunch of violence in Seville between Vagos and his dad, He decided he would give it a try where he led successfully until there had been an array, Big J left town for a while and a few of the crowns got overwhelmed, started losing members and Joey stuck with it and was a key role in its survival along with the other crown members. Now being kicked from the gang and feeling backstabbed, Joey decided something must be done. On November 5th, 2018 Joey was involved in a car crash and had flashbacks back to his father and the Vagos..Suddenly he was overcome with hate as he lay there bloody on his steering wheel, listening to the medics coming…Thinking to himself…Its my turn. Should he take jamestown…or go for carson ave. He returned to forum drive where he murdered Big devil in cold blood In anger and told the rest of the families members he is going to lead Seville Soulevard Families now, And no one will stop him. Current situation, Goals and future plans: We hang out around Carson ave or Jamestown, forum drive and that whole area over there. If we aren’t there we are out making drugs or robbing stores to fund getting heavy weaponry, we also love to show up to car meets with cars we received from a stolen shipment of sports car, we still ride around with buckets. Currently we own property in the jamestown area and we will also own property around Carson avenue. We have certain goals we would like to achieve: 1. Obtain a warehouse 2. Obtain a solid alliance and keep it well bonded 3. Obtain a territory/Turf Our future plans consist of a few things: · Smuggling arms and communicating with other gangs/ families in the city to set a price on weapons · We plan to keep smuggling drugs in and out of LS and supplying it at bulk quantity · Plan to get an official headquarter · We also plan on running a chopshop protection racket and offer protection to those chopping cars. Recruitment: MUST BE DONE ICLY You can find us all around the city, mainly around the Jamestown area. One way to spot us is our green clothing, may consist of green and black or green and white. People who are to be recruited must expect a initiation and they must hang around the gang for a bit. (OOC requirement) There will be a requirement of minimum 2,500 XP Daily activities: We are either out robbing stores or making drugs, We are not hostile unless we feel we need to be. We also like to play dice in our neighborhoods for money while smoking weed and selling drugs on the corner. We normally stick together daily and we are planning to set more up. I will also be working with people to create weekly events thrown by Seville boulevard. Rules of a Seville member: Respect your allies and your OG’s DO not disrespect the leader. Show other members respect. Ride together and never be alone Its ride or die, if you join us, you ride with us, you get shot with us Be willing to die for your gang. Ranks: Leader Shotcallers Og’s Street soldier Seville Shooter OOC rules: Heavy roleplay is expected from all members of the faction which means you are required to be in-character at all times and keep OOC chat to a minimum. We expect your character to have his or her own background story that you're able to roleplay in game. We do not recruit members via OOC means, if you wish to join the faction you'll need to create a character and find us in-game on your own accord to initiate roleplay with our faction. Attempts to PM faction leaders or members to join the gang will result in immediate rejection. Every faction member is expected to adhere to all faction rules and Eclipse RP server rules at all times. Violating Eclipse RP server rules may result in removal from the faction on an OOC level. If a faction member is punished by an Eclipse RP server admin they're required to report it to the Seville Boulevard Families leader with their explanation of the events and how they plan to avoid further issues. Faction leader have the ability to initiate a CK of any the faction members if they deem necessary. A faction member will be notified of the CK upon being killed by a faction leader. In the case of the CK being carried out successfully, the faction member would be removed from the faction and the character would be effectively killed off from all past interaction with the gang. Pictures and other stuff will be uploaded and forum will be updated

  25. +1 plenty of people still use text instead of VoIP and even then VoIP sometimes glitches out and doesn't work. Would work very well for gangs and mafias who are roleplaying as something other then English and give a chance to fulfill certain roleplays better.
