I honestly do not care anymore. To go and silence me on discord for "indirect advertising" which what I said does not even fall under the definition of it, says a lot about the integrity of the server and some of the staff. I just find it awfully funny that I am being punished for literally pointing out something concerning. Ban appeals do not work as is shown with the 2 pages of appeals and some of which are now entering two months old. like, that's pretty bad. I'd understand at least 2-3 weeks, but damn near almost 2 months old? pfft. I'm leaving this community. After this morning, I've lost all hope for this server and also some of the community members.

Indirectly advertising... *rolls eyes* I was making a point at how one guy was able to do EVERYTHING that eclipse took 3 years to do in 2 days which with 3 guys as DEVS is HIGHLY CONCERNING. And indirect advertising? How can you advertise with out giving any INFORMATION on what it is? How is that advertising? All I am saying is, to advertise, you'd have to give INFORMATION about what ever it is you are advertising. All I did was say one guy did what 3 devs took 3 years to do in two days.

I didn't advert nor did I give out any names. Nor did I rampage. The ones who rampaged were Jay and Juliet. I calmly mentioned a few things that I have observed. I've been with eclipse for almost 3 years now. Trying to silence me for literally saying how 1 guy was able to make an entire server, scripted, and have things for both criminals and civs to do constantly in under 2 days while we have 3 devs here and barely anything gets done is something that bothers me dearly. If I had advertised, I'd of said the name of and or platform of which said server was on. So please tell me again, why I was banned from the discord?

So.. Apparently I was banned from the discord.. but for what? voicing an opinion which is true? Am I being silenced for observing and pointing out problems? Going back to a previous thread, players are being silenced. Which is pretty true. Suggestions and solutions are made but ignored. so like.. Why am I not able to voice my thoughts and concerns?

People do this and still get robbed. I can't even go 10 minutes with out being robbed just driving around. What rp is there when all it is, is people robbing one another all the time? This whole robbing thing has been going on for well over a year now. For the people I try to rp with.. wait.. I am not able to as I am being robbed all the time and our actual role-play is stopped due to an over large number is people robbing everyone. Over the last two years, criminal activities have been developed while anything for non criminals/non-faction workers have not been developed or touched. I no longer view Eclipse as a Role-Play server. It's just cops and robbers glorified. I agree with the OP in the area of, all these people robbing everyone can drive away new players. Hell, it's even starting to drive away some of the older players too. I can't even progress cause of the consistent robbing. I actually rely on welfare now to even make cash, and all that gets slammed into constantly repairing my vehicles, parking them, and buying fuel to try and make money without being lazy. I rather not join the bandwagon as I hate taking things from others that they sank time into. My favorite robbery of today was being told I was the bad guy while at gun point being robbed. Like what kind of mentality is that? There used to be a time where people actually helped each other. Now it's just a mass of mindless robberies being viewed as "Role Play". Its not enjoyable nor is it very much of an experience when all that there is to it is, "Get out of the car or we'll shoot" or, "Hands up, this is rob" with forced /do's. ~Edited to fix a spelling error

No no, not saying I as a new player am getting robbed. I am saying, new players who are robbing others are also not able to get robbed due to the rule not allowing you to rob them.

So I recently ran into an issue with "New player(s)" robbing others. I myself almost was robbed by one of them. Upon asking an admin about new players robbing or if they had to wait, I was told they could but not vice versa. Which leads me to this. Whats stopping me from creating a new character specifically to rob other players with out having the worry of getting robbed while the "New Player" tag is still active? I suggest that a rule change should be made that does not allow for "New Players" to rob others until the tag is gone, or just completely removing that rule entirely as its rather contradicting that it is allowed. What are your (The community) thoughts on this?

There is a parking lot at the park near MD. 500$ to park it. It's either that or park your car in a garage if you have a home. Otherwise, no matter where you leave your vehicle, if someone has easy access to it, regardless of NCZ, it can and will get stolen. There is one. Press k to lock and unlock your cars. However people can lock pick them with lock picks found in general stores. Be smart where you leave your vehicles and the odd's of them being stolen are decreased.

I just use my speakers. I have no mic/headset. My speakers are plugged in via 3.5mm. I've been thinking it could be the lack of mic detection that would cause me to not have any luck with hearing voice, but I am not so sure. Harvey brought up to me that it could be my ping, but I have seen others with ping twice as high as mine be able to hear voice. So I am really at a loss here lol

I say that instead of taking away a valuable command, that us old timers in the community take the time to help teach the new members which would require patience. I my self have stopped using the /admin 3 and 4 command when I see rule breaking and rather I try to teach them about the wrong doings and how to properly go about do certain RP. Not everyone comes from a decent history of RP and some are quite new to it. Take me for example, back in 2017 of April, I joined the server. This was my first ever RP server and really my first ever RP experience. I too was a little sh** and broke a few rules because I still had the GTA V online mindset of doing f**k all and being an idiot. instead of fighting or arguing with said party members, try to teach them as the rp goes along with /b.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Not sure if this is a bug or some weird failure on my end, however, back before the voice fix was implemented for the current update, I was maybe able to hear people speak like 3 out of 10 times with the robotic voice being 7/10 times if I ever could hear voice. Since the voice fix was implemented, I have not been able to hear anyone speak at all. In person or over Radio. I have asked for help in the discord from Ballinbynature, who led me through some trouble shooting. First, we messed with my steam voice settings thinking that could of been the issue with no luck. The issue still persisted. Hew then guided me through the rage folder and had me delete the folder containing the files for ECRP thinking that would of fixed it, but still no cigar. That's when we stopped and he suggested I come here, as this problem is something new to him as well, which we both find very very odd. I ask for more assistance from the Dev team on how to go about possibly fixing this. It is getting really annoying not being able to fully communicate with others due to the inability to hear people speak. No in game solution works and doing a relog does not work either. That is why I went to the staff in discord about this and now here.

My name is Jason Winter, born September 24th, 1994. I grew up in a small suburb in Liberty City with my brothers, Jade and Kade. My father was an officer of the LCPD who lost his life trying to protect and serve the streets of Liberty City. Our mother, Theresa, was devastated by the loss of our father and fell into a deep depression which ultimately.. ended her life due to severe heart break. My brother Jade lost his mind and was sent to a mental ward shortly after losing both of our parents. With the loss of both our parents and that our brother Jade was sent away, Kade and I decided to open up a small garage to work on vehicles and to-do restoration projects. We were doing pretty well until a local gang came in and destroyed all that we worked for, demanding protection money. It was then, that I told my brother, that living in Liberty City would end up with us dead. We went our separate ways. I bought a plane ticket to Los Santos, dreaming that a life there would be better and Kade moved south to Vice City. Upon arriving into this new vast city, I was lost and a bit scared to this new concrete jungle. It was just a few weeks later that I saw an ad that the LSPD was looking for new recruits and knowing my father, it would of been something he would want me to do. Honoring what I believed were my fathers wishes, I went down to LSPD and became a member of the force. It was a grand experience! The people I worked with were great and our team work was exceptional! However, three months after joining with the LSPD, I worked my way up high into the ranks and chaos shortly ensued. It came to our attention that our chief was corrupt and doing things he shouldn't of been doing followed along with two others of our very high ranking officers. They were terminated by the government immediately and the PD fell into a power struggle of chaos. I left my position as Lieutenant and moved up north to Paleto Bay where it was peaceful and away from all the evils of the concrete jungle. A year passed; I was living out of an old van, resting on a beach, when one day, this guy came up to me asking if I was interested in joining a family. Well, down on my luck, being homeless and starving, I decided to join up with them. I mean, whats the worst that could happen? The family that I joined, they called themselves "The Exiled". It came to my attention that this was a criminal gang. It was after joining with them, that my life spiraled out of control even worse than it already had. I got involved with drugs, drinking, breaking laws, doing all sorts of criminal activities! At the time, I felt accepted and happy that I had a family once again. After spending almost a year with "The Exiled", I started to come back to the real me. Realizing that what I've been doing isn't who I am and that my life is in utter chaos; I needed to pick my self back up and head down a honorable, straight path. Slowly but surely, I started working my way to being a law abiding citizen again with out "The Exiled" really knowing. I managed to buy a Jobuilt Phantom with the money I had saved up and began side work as a Owner Operator trucker. My luck changed after I took a chance with filling out an application to Bayview mechanical services. I now work full time at Bayview, enjoying the start of a new, and improved life. However, due to a series of unfortunate events, I am now deaf. I've begun going to specialized classes to learn Sign Language so I can still communicate. Each class is only two hours long, but from the few sessions I have attended, I have learned so much! I just hope that the lovely people of Los Santos can understand sign language. After searching desperately for many months, Jason was able to find a doctor that could restore his hearing back to near perfect.

Three times this week alone, I have had people come up to me as I drive my big rig around doing jobs, they come up and hulk kick the hell out of my truck to stall it so they can rob me. Horrible RP and not realistic at all. Server needs a whitelist to weed out some if not most of the "cant be arsed to properly rp" people. I have left the server twice now because of people like this and im nearly there again. From people driving 130km/h+ and slamming into the side of my trailer and then driving off as if it never happened, to people using ridiculously expensive cars to commit petty crimes. It's getting really out of hand.

So, this has happened to me 3 times now and it's getting ridiculous. Apparently people think it's a great idea to wreck someones vehicle by "hulk smashing" it just so they can rob you. Now I do not know about you, but that is really SHITTY role play. To everyone who thinks they can just whilly nilly kick ones vehicle to stall it or anything else so you can pull a gun on them just to rob them, ya'll are toxic and need to leave.

I agree with you Dead_Hunter. There is proof in the logs. That there is enough. Especially after admitting to RDM, that should of been a instant kick/ban. I too am getting tired of the launcher and what it does to the game. Kind of why I left eclipse in the first place. At least now its a lot better than what it used to be. Seriously though. Admitting to breaking server rules in front of an admin and the logs also prove that he did indeed RDM is literally proof enough. I don't even want to record at all. I too would search for a new home, but I have invested a lot of time into this community before I left the first time. Action needs to be taken against this player immediately. Cops need to be forced to not be AFK on duty. I've seen more than enough police sitting on the side of the road as I have blown past them and smacked their cars to only find them still sitting there, watching netflix. How can we count on them to protect and serve if they are sitting on their arses watching netflix and getting paid for it? It literally blows me away that crap like this is being ignored because "video evidence" isn't there. What blows me away even more is that they are limited to what they can see in the logs? Seriously!? How the hell are we supposed to get admin/mod assistance if they are restricted to view only some things in logs? Being an administrator or Mod, you should have full access to all the logs TO HELP PLAYERS IN NEED OF ACTUAL HELP
