  2. I don't get why "don't take a cop hostage" justifies endangering the cop and other cops to begin with. Shit don't make sense to me that pd are more willing to endanger cops to a "terrorist organisation" I dunno where you find normal being the same video you shared which conveniently is over a year ago and with ESM whom you appear to keep friendly relations with IC. Especially with the fact that I've been a hostage in a bank where it ended with me being shot through and killing the hostage takers, where we have been shot for taking hostages before and I'm sure I speak for many criminal players that they share a very similar experience. I referred to this bank as abnormal because I suspected cops would be more willing to let us go as to not endanger cops, not the other way around as you assume I have. But the cops have clearly shown in this scenario a neglect of life to the cops just as they have in any other hostage situation as I've seen and many others have in the server. Even our faction management referred to the same issue, which is why we attempted a different style of hostage RP to begin with. Thanks for "educating" me Mr AllFacts. I don't believe i needed it :3
  3. imma comment on this based on the recent robbery, based on what bala said in my experience cops don't show an appropriate amount of fear rp, they are completely willing to let a cop hostage die just to get a win, theyre willing to resort to violence themselves if it means making arrests, realistically cops should prioritize life over wins and arrests or as they put it "making the other side lose", in the recent bank robbery we had matthew burns hostage, we made demands, and the plan was to let us escape and keep one hostage taker back with the hostage so that the others had a reasonable chance of getting away, in turn the hostage taker would give up and take the arrest, however suddenly the plan was changed and we all had to come out with the hostage, they didn't listen to our demands, we said all vehicles were to remain, dont block us, dont shoot us, taze us or otherwise interrupt our initial escape. once we saw demands werent met and vehicles were taken, the cops clearly showed they were willing to let the hostage die. this isn't to mention we said that violence would take place if demands werent met. even in the event where the hostage is released we still had the appropriate means to start shooting, and we even said ourselves if demands arent met we would start killing cops, which is exactly whats been happening, my character has started shooting cops more often even killing one of the cops who did the negotiations. none of this would have happened if they simply complied with our demands. when demands werent met and a certain person said "theyre in their vehicles" when we werent and resorted to tazing us, it resulted in a shootout, the very same thing some of the cops complain keeps happening. its entirely self inflicted in my opinion and hypocritical to go to the forums and complain about how shootouts happen. Criminals arent willing to hostage roleplay because it ends the same way for them where cops act like total dicks in some scenarios or show no care to roleplay even calling MD because they themselves intend on shooting. in conclusion, Cops should be fully willing to accept circumstances of how they operate but they should also be showing more caution if they dont want cops to die

(sorry i edited this image whilst in doc lmao ignore the stamps n stuff :P) The bag will still keep weight in the same way it does now for obvious balance reasons, however the difference is you can now access it whilst in a vehicle or you dont have to risk some gremlin coming up to you and picking it up or taking from it when you drop it just to access it which already is tedious enough as it is. when you put the bag in a slot (as shown under the gloves in clothing) it will give you an expanded inventory UI (ALSO I REALISE I ACCIDENTALLY DID 5X6 SLOTS, BAGS WILL STAY 4X6)

  7. +1 If SD are able to assist PD in a situation (and vice versa) I see zero reason why gangs shouldn't be allowed to call upon friends to help them out, it was a silly ass rule to begin with, especially when cops already have slot of numbers and way better weapons/armour/vehicles (on the occasion Crims are using non meta vehicles which I like to stick to purely for RP) The reason why cops don't have a limit whilst criminal organisations are capped at 30 is to reduce the outnumbering of cops and keep balance. But 30 people in the same gang aren't able to call on 30 others from another gang when faced by like 60 LEOS of each faction? (Of course the numbers are exaggerated but it adds to my point)

  9. as someone who got a dm warning for shooting a cop who ignored demands and drove away with a 2stack car with weapons pulling up next to him and me hopping off a bike with a pdw aimed at them- i only naturally agree with this +1

A particular issue I've run into (before the new rule) is you could have a shitty pistol aimed at a cops head from behind (to which they were unaware), give them demands and they still turned around and drilled me with a marksman rifle I guess not based on the RP knowledge that they had a gun at their head point-blank but the fact they had better weapons and armour. As it stands the new fearRP rule in my experience has weakened the state of the server yet again by disallowing rp opportunities and going straight to death matching each other. https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/topic/168531-id-89-fearrp/#comment-560338 But even where the fear rp rule applies, it's still being reported and accepted so it becomes even more difficult how it's meant to be interpreted. An example is the recent report from PD against multiple bank robbers, the criminals outweighed the police in numbers, they all came running out the bank with 3 armed officers pointing guns, some of them got away BECAUSE there wasn't enough to handle them or point a gun at them My conclusion is that the fearRP is far too open to interpretation that everyone views it differently from eachother which apparently is causing lots of confusion.

  13. as useful as it is, i dont think it should be implemented as its UI that doesnt exactly make sense, i say maybe add a date and time of when it ends, that would be more realistic imma +1 for the idea of adding some form of means to know when it ends

  15. i for sure +1 this, i dont ever really do labs simply because its a pvp zone with 0 rp. it reduces the rp value of the server and provides nothing but toxicity in the community, we have gotten to a point where player reports are the front page of ecrp which is a horrible look for anything. i also have known people leaving due to the toxicity that has come with public pvp zones (labs) but it also does not bring in players. Most crims also have just switched to playing as full legals as the crim community has become nothing but toxic. going back on the topic of rp, rply it makes no sense for gangs to fight over a lab, it would make more sense for people to set up their own labs (even if it was in an accessible public location like chopping) as it provides more rp for people to actually play drug manufacturers or dealers etc. Walter and Jesse werent defending your local flower shop screamin "retard" at you every 3 seconds. its also as @Linden_Thuynsma said, you aint gonna get new players if all that happens is ecrp encourages pvp and toxicity

  20. dont you find it ironic that after saying this, you then go on to defend your point with the fact the server is unrealistic with "ungodly death rates" "everyone drives at 200kmph" etc. Which is it? a "realistic server" or a shit show? as for in 2019, as far as im aware there wasnt punishment for gross rp....so which is it? some of us dont wanna come onto GAMES to be sexually assaulted or humiliated. it aint woke, just some of us actually have jobs and touch grass (not me tbh) where we dont wanna face the realities of real life when we get home to play some games. It aint "woke nonsense" its just facts. additionally touching on theres a reason thankfully now we are now allowed to choose not to be raped IC, so there is in fact a line. I understand the point of its an rp server where theres criminals and shit, but at the end of the day i think its best we dont allow people to go to bed at night feeling uncomfortable with certain rp they were forced to do, we should atleast have the option to keep the rp organic and allow escape rp upon request. it sets a bad rep for the server and doesnt make anyone look good.
