Cheaters, toxic players, and the like are exactly what's killing ecrp, I've seen so many decent players who actually have fun playing a character like Roman Cassidy, Ratty, Poppy Popov, Solomon Cobb, Dale Ashcroft, George Vern etc, all leave. The player base is currently retaining a toxic PvP and w mentality majority And I doubt with the reputation you have made for yourself, that anyone is willing to listen anyways

unfortunately i think you might be right, ngl the best outcome at this point would just be move to community to another more caring server or something. or hear me out for my discretion, replace the devs

imma come back to this thread and say this: if you complain about developers doing nothing and you still pay for VIP, you're part of the problem, no im not saying people are at fault for the lack of content and "laziness" but like, you wanna see change, stop funding them if you feel as if theyre not doing anything, its not worth supporting in my opinion. until real good change comes about maybe ill consider donating

tbh i dont see why people are against the idea, i have provided the example that driveby of a gov employee is longer than domestic terrorism, kidnapping is longer than murder, im not saying we SHOULD completely quarter sentences, but i feel as if everything should be seriously reconsidered as its clearly obvious that the charges made were completely arbitrary. and to reiterate, i could rob a bank, get armed robbery, 1st class or 2nd class firearm, face concealment "attempted murder of a gov employee" etc and suddenly i have like 320 minutes, and im only spending 190 minutes because the time is so absurd it far exceeds the limits anyway, so it feels like no matter what i do im spending a good 2 hours at least in prison for like 2 or 3 charges plus 2 small charges like "resisting and face concealment" which are still extreme sentences for the severity of a crime.

I dont believe adding RNG is a good idea for the server, or any of the buffs/nerfs dependent on wearing a mask or closer to a station, i think we should look at it from a different angle such as stores that are robbed more often (as the reason for that is quite literally theyre not in patrol routes or near stations) have less money and the money they have in a treasury slowly regenerates (which i think already exists im not sure???) realistically not having a mask on wouldnt change how much money you get out of a store irl. we should be looking at more rply ways of doing things, not trying to balance the pvp aspect. NPCs to be taken hostage wouldn't be a bad direction but honestly i think people should just get more creative with how they rob banks, personally ive found ways to do that. if you want a hostage get a hostage. if you dont have a hostage, theres literally 2 tellers, so theres a tip for you criminals

What could be done is reintroduce tables as an item to be bought, labs aren't active, gangs or others could go to the designated location and only be able to set up in the same way the weed growing zones exist. Additionally (might get hate for this one) we should have it that only some gangs can bring in certain things so we can add more interaction between gangs. For example drug heavy gangs like OTF should be able to import drug ingredients and tables, racing focused gangs like Alliance should be able to import toolboxes, anti gov/leo like The Souls should be able to import encryption devices. Sure it would be harder to get these things but I believe it would add more interaction other than PvP with each other and possibly add balance. Tho if we are talking about balance we should really be focusing on cops in my opinion. Because cops get everything for free and realistically don't carry heavy weapons and juggernaut armour everywhere they go

It feels as if the charge system in ecrp is completely arbitrary. I would like to mention this is an issue i plan to try and do IC through the LRC (law review comittee) It definitely seems like whoever made the current charges kinda slapped on a time and fine and just called it a day but theres so many problems with it people dont seem to be taking up to the forums despite the amount of complaints. The way the system works right now is they slap a charge on you and you serve that time, however a majority of crimes (like the fun ones) are already a 3rd (or 5th if youre broke) of time youll spend for ONE CHARGE. so by the time you have 3 charges youre already spending probably the max amount of time in prison, then the 4 other charges you have give no real meaning other than slapping some more fines on the criminal. i feel as if we should have it where for someone to reach the max amount of times, they should be doing alot of bad shit rather than like 3 things max. Im very well aware that prison time is the normal punishment for committing crime for a criminal, however it seems the player is being severely punished for the in game crimes they did commit, especially when DOC is extremely limited for RP as of right now. I also believe the time and fines have a damper on the mood for people trying to rp a criminal and its the result of current toxic behaviour issues between criminals and LEOs (especially when charges are stacked). i should mention im not looking for a fight, I am just noting something i think everyone would find fair in the server as cops dont lose anything from the result of less time, maybe less boredom because criminals all wont be locked up all the time and criminals will find they can actually bare the time they get for the charges placed against them. My suggestion is re-evaluate the laws, maybe cut them by 2 3rds and readjust them. An example i also have of clearly unfair and unjustified charges is for some reason, driveby with the against a gov employee modifier is more time than domestic terrorism which is just completely astonishing to me (domestic terrorism is 120, Drive by of a government employee is 135) So instead of capping times to 3 hours, we just cut the times of charges (maybe keep the cap tho, unsure) so that with the result of charges against people, theyll probably spend stupid amounts of time for stupid amounts of charges. again, this will be something i plan to take up to the LRC in character but i belive its an issue to be taken up ooc too. :3

Just my 2 cents, people buy cars with credits because THEY KNOW they can upgrade them with the new update, people are left with multiple multi millionaire cars they can't afford to upgrade (at least not every one). Now whilst I honestly think it's a good thing more expensive cars are gonna cost more to invest in, I don't think it's fair that people who bought cars with irl money under the pretense that they can fully mod it are now completely unavailable to do so making the cars they bought with real money worthless to them or not worth the investment. Admins and Devs berating these people with "oh you spent the money already too bad deal with it"(paraphrasing) is a magnificently massive reflection of just exactly how toxic this community has become. Would it hurt to take into consideration exactly the problem that's been caused? I don't know, or have studied economics but making people pay real money with the promise that they can financially invest in the car ic just to change it so that they can no longer invest seems real scummy. Whilst I don't believe that was the intention, any admin or dev denying refunds or compensation are nowhere near a moral light in my opinion as of now. Fact is this update was completely unprecedented when people were buying multimillionaire cars before the update and people just want to get rid of them for the credits they bought them with in the 1st place. I don't see how wanting to get rid of a pay 2 win car is pay 2 win Keep in mind that I'm saying all this where my most expensive vehicle is the dominator GT and I never bought credits

George Vern - Honestly my favourite cop to RP with in the past and it's a shame not to see him around anymore, I did some meaningful ldo RP and other forms of RP, he was creative and resourceful and for that he deserves a shout Jeff Cooper - speaking of ldo RP, I haven't actually known him very long but I spray painted some walls in doc, and luckily for him, joselynn knows me ooc and we set up some ldo RP that honestly whilst it's not much, it is really fun to just do that shit Solomon Cobb - tbh I think we all know why, his constant contributions to the media page of ecrp, entertaining content and dedication to his character shouldn't go unnoticed Wilbur Figglebottom - I'm sure some people might see him as a pain in the ass or annoying, but I can't help but realise he absolutely uses the right amount of /me and /dos in a variety of situations clearly showing dedication to actually playing for the sake of RP Dale Ashcroft - haven't seen the guy lately :C but he is a great detective, likeable and absolutely deserves to be on the list for keeping a positive experience for other players he interacts with Diesel 'Gator' Bates - I miss him :C such a fan guy to RP with, you wouldn't think the man wasn't a hillbilly American ooc with how well he played gator, sticking to the accent and character building. Willy Bostigan & Puddle Bates - both characters I always had fun playing with, especially puddle (gators brother) who would get him into stupidly hilarious shenanigans, I still don't appreciate being called "zoo-man" lol Aki Kurokawa & Joselynn Trejos (plus the other 50 characters she owns) - call me biased as this server has allowed me to become close friends with her but she clearly deserves the attention. she has made multiple characters dedicating each one a specific role whom of which I've always enjoyed interacting with, clearly she is here to spread a positive light to the community and for that she will have my respect. Billy The Drunk (haven't had enough interaction with Tim Sutton) - a hilarious character dedicated to being stupidly drunk all the time. The effort into using that voice and behaving like a silly drunk is a refreshing character to have in an RP server. Poppy Popov - she scares me, that cutesy doll like childlike innocent cannibal serial killer is a good character and the person behind Poppy and her alts always seemed to care for a good RP character Roman Cassidy - the absolute commitment to playing his character is something I always loved and I had fun interacting with his goofy character. There are a ton more people I can add here honestly but imma leave it for now as it is like 5am for me as I'm typing this completely on a whim. I wanna extend a huge thanks to Liam Binnie, Deano Jackson and Sean LeBlanc wherever the prior 2 may be alongside the rest of LSC for the fun times we had during my very legal time working there Plus the Souls of course. This includes some of the above such as aki, willy and gator. Plus Jesse Saint, Ronny Miguel, Rob Reaper, Arthur Green, Jeffe Villanueva, Winston Yin and the rest of you lovely folk. whilst not being my 1st gang technically, allowed me to grow my character, and my presence within the gang and the server as a whole The Architects, Richie Reed and Steve Reed for being my 1st buddy's in the server (Richie reintroducing me early 2024 to ecrp after I joined and left in 2021 :P) and showing me the ropes of criminal RP. If I know you and I didn't mention you, don't get upset at me please, I just typed as I thought, I couldn't come up with every single name in the span of half an hour Lastly about Ace Aethernite, I apologise to people who had shit experiences with me rply, I have honestly tried to do as best as I can, sometimes with my ADHD ridden brain I will start staring into space and forget I'm rply on the ground in cuffs or sum shit, I have often times corrected my mistakes so thanks to those who were patient with me. Additionally I have always tried to make things fair such as when a cop experiences a glitch in game and wants to continue a chase whilst in most cases criminals don't get the benefit of voiding a glitch (from what I've seen) I will go back to a spot where we can continue a chase. I've always tried using non meta cars to create more fun evasions for me and the cops. Whilst this server sure ain't perfect, it's had it's fun moments for sure, I've seen some positive change, and some negatives. I believe for the server to truly grow, it needs to suck up and bite some bullets and really drastically change things. I believe a good start is the PvP aspect of the server which has created the toxic environment the server has become. That's me for now. Thanks :3

I was honestly completely fine with the update, all my cars are pr much less than 500k, I made a shitt ton from the update, I also like how the update will encourage players to use cars they like instead of meta vehicles and it creates a balance to the economy (needs some tweaks tho imo). However I don't believe it's fair for people to now have to spend so much damn money on a car they paid credits for literally just to avoid paying that much to begin with lol. I think it's completely fair to allow them to give their credits back

I got banned for suggesting that the new update is causing issues with the server population. This ban was by a founder. If admins are shouting how feedback is allowed and whatnot and that they wouldn't ban or punish people for talking their mind. Then this clearly shows the staff for the server has become dysfunctional

well i got banned from the discord server for suggesting this so good luck guys although i dont own credit cars and i greatly benefitted from the update as i dont own a car over 600k. I do believe people who bought these cars way before this update should be refunded the cars and have credits returned if they no longer wish to invest in these vehicles due to circumstances that are beyond their own control i +1 this, especially if it means keeping the player base, which is what i ultimately care about but im being banned for that
