Make body armor visible while in your inventory.

-1 if anything, weapons (smaller caliber pistols/knives) should not show on your person if they're in your pockets. -
+1 Way to go Dean! I recall our IC convo about me asking if there was one, thank you for putting in this suggestion.

I'm sorry for derailing this entire discussion by dragging VIP tax rebates into it. (I now learned that the server relies too heavily on VIP sub income to touch the benefits, so it's maybe best to leave that part of the discussion alone for now) The original post was about changing the current tax brackets. Maybe we can bring the thread back to this original suggestion and get some more input on that?

+1 I think the problem lies with the VIP tier getting a tax rebate rather than taxes being too high. 35% tax seems reasonable as an income tax for the wealthiest people on the server. I do feel that the threshold for highest tax bracket could be higher, and the current 1m threshold should be like 25%, but ultimately I see it as way more problematic that VIP just be given the amount they payed in tax back. It creates a divide that is in my opinion undesirable. Being vip pretty much lets you live tax free, keep all your money and inflate the economy that way. Give everyone the same tax brackets regardless of VIP status and it levels the playing field. With the current bonuses to VIP it is almost as if you're playing a totally different game to people who dont. On the one hand you get more money more easily because you effectively dont pay taxes. And on the other hand you have way less expenses because you get a 4x bigger gas tanks in all your vehicles, you dont really have to eat or drink, this leaves VIP players with a lot more money to spend on houses/assets w/e (in the process inflating the prices of such assets and therefore reinforcing the loop and difference between vip and non-vip) I do think this current problem could be fixed by lowering the tax, however I think the better IC solution would be to remove the tax benefit for VIPs alongside of lowering it in order to level the playing field. (I currently have payed for Diamond VIP until may 15th 2025, in case someone may say i'm biased against VIP players, I full well realize I'll lose the benefits I currently have if my suggestion gets implemented. I just think this would benefit the playerbase as a whole if the economy is fair to all) So +1 for the general idea to fix the current situation

I love the new locations, I don't love that they came at a price: The server says it wants to promote different groups with different types of lore and backgrounds, yet with this change it forces everyone down the same path. I understand this change will create more interactions, however there's only so many different types of interactions you realistically will have at a lab. (I honestly cannot count the amount of times someone was pretending to be nice only to drive off, grab a gun outside line of sight, return and telling me to hand over my stuff while i was mid script.. Such roleplay wow..) More of the same isn't really better, nor desirable, in my opinion. If cooking in a private location was such a problem I feel it would have been a better approach to keep trying to balance it through different ways. Either through the timing of the cook, financial investment or maybe even trying something totally different (for example: by putting a professional cook npc in the public labs who you can pay to get better cook timers for a set amount of time). By tweaking these values players could have easily been incentivised to make a choice for going to a public lab. Instead now all choice has been taken away and the entire playerbase is forced to cook at a public lab, or not cook at all. I feel like good RP comes from players having options, and that forcing all crims into one place "because crims love doing crim stuff" is just an overgeneralization. I get that the private labs have been a issue for a quite some time, but getting rid of it seems like giving up. The new labs look sick, I love the fact there's new stuff added, it's just a shame it came with the price of having fewer roleplay options. I am quite surprised by the statement that forcing people into pvp zones is seen as "bringing something to the server" (realistically labs are treated as pvp zones, I hope we can all agree on that). These changes will require everyone that was privately cooking to take different approaches. it'll probably even be fun to find out what works and what the new status quo will be after this. What I do want to add however is that this change most definetly accomodates a certain portion of the playerbase and playstyle. We all know there's a certain portion of ECRP's playerbase that only flies in to have a gunfight, and flies out as soon as that fight is over. I feel this change could very much cater to this group of players and I feel it really doesn't bring any RP to an RP server. PvP is also an interaction, so yeah it'll probably bring interaction to the server. Lastly, I heard stories about staff denying refund requests for lab equipment people have invested in, don't now if there's any truth to that but if it is, I sympathize with people now having spent a small fortune on what's essenatially overpriced furniture. (Does anyone know what an RV sells for nowadays?)

Pretty straight forward suggestion: A /removealias [ID] command. I think this could aid players in conforming to NLR after a kidnapping or hostage situation. My suggestion would be that this command doesn't have a range set to it and works if the player is wearing a mask. This way you could still remove the alias of your killer after waking up at pillbox. I think having access to this command could offer a helpful way of setting a clear boundary between players in regards of NLR, since it offers both parties the option to "forget" about each other and essentially become strangers again. Hopefully I'm not overlooking any issues with this, I think it might offer some nice roleplay opportunities when the playerbase has access to this command, let me know what you lot think!

+1 Baller LE also fits a body, same car, same model, different variant, same boot visually. both should be able to fit a body. I agree

look at the gps. the road is clearly colored like the freeway is. (screenshot provided is even before the camera and already it shows it as Freeway) I say remove it, because there's 0 RP sense for there to be a 80kph traffic camera installed on a freeway where the limit is 145kph. Or change the way this is portrayed on the GPS so that it doesnt show up as if it is a freeway if you dont want it to be part of the freeway. Or you could even change it to 145kph instead of the 80 it is at right now. that would also be a solution that makes sense, since that's the legal limit on the Freeway. I'm fine with any of these solutions. But leaving it as it is, is quite obviously the option that makes the least sense ICly. Sure, i can "get used to" that there's a traffic camera there that shouldn't be there, but I don't want to, I want it fixed, and I'd love it to be gone, That's why I tried the RP route to get rid of it first. I think that chances are quite high that this cannot simply be removed RPly. therefore I posted this OOC suggestion on the forums alongside my IC inquiry.

I also made an IC inquiry about this which i will put down below: Dear Sir or Madam, I hope this inquiry finds you well, on friday the 10th of May, I was enjoying a peaceful ride, seeing the beautiful sights the city and state have to offer. When suddenly I got fined a $500 traffic speed violation. I believe this fine was highly unjustified. I will present my side of the story and why I advocate for the Traffic Camera to be changed so it operates properly, or if that is not possible the removal of the traffic camera all together. I was driving down Strawberry Avenue in the Direction of Los Santos Freeway. As I Entered the Freeway I turned off my cruisecontrol and started to speed up to continue onto the freeway at a speed that's appropriate for the freeway. I suddenly get fined for going 91Kph in an 80 zone. As I was already ON the freeway, leaving the city, I believe this fine is unjust. This can clearly be seen by the fact that the GPS shows that area marked as Freeway with the yellow coloring of the road. Not only do I wish for this fine to be reimbursed. I would very much like this traffic camera to be removed, or changed in such a way that it no longer fines people for going 90 in a 145 zone. Thank you for your time in taking this inquiry, Kind Regards, Danny Vanderdirk Basically: this traffic camera charges you for going 96 in a zone that should be a 145 zone. I understand the need for the camera if you're going INTO the city, but having it going both ways make no sense RPly. I would prefer all traffic camera's to be removed, but I get that that may be a longshot. This one specifically, in this direction makes no sense, so i believe this one should be fixed/removed. https://medal.tv/games/gta-v/clips/2chlGK-R5klKTe/d1337qkB9597?invite=cr-MSxGaVUsMjE5ODI0NzE0LA

Hi! Few days back I decided to give the coroner's job a shot, simply because I never had before. I Decided to give it a good while to see what it was like and over the course of two days totalling 6(ish) hours on the job my findings were: Firstly, for the entire period, I was the only coroner on duty. I did find the Roleplay the coroner offers can be quite fun, I interacted with PD, MD, SD about what just happened, small talk convo's that seemed to be enjoyable for both parties and afterwards I got to make a few bucks. Since not many calls were made (during my sessions I had 1 call every 3 hours on average) I took it upon myself to start looking for high activity area's starting off at burgershot, and gradually made my way up to labs to ask around about reports of dead bodies. This gave me the opportunity to interact with some criminal characters too, again, some small talk and generally it was all quite peaceful because my RP goals didn't directly oppose the people I encountered on the job. This "oudsider" RP is quite fun and offers some great opportunities for players that want more Solo oriented activities. So far so good! Things I think that could be improved: - Los Santos Coroner's Job and Hearse pickup point. Currently there's only a body dropoff point in the city, at the morgue, it does not have a location for players to start the job, or spawn a Hearse. - 6666 calls should not require the caller to stay put. The way the system works right now disinsentivises players to make coronerrequests as it relies on them to remain at that location. Changing this so that the caller can leave the scene without it dropping the request could also offer different roleplay opportunities, normally dead bodies don't move by themselves, so if a coroner comes to a location where a dead body was called in yet they do not find a corpse there. that gives them the opportunity to call SD or PD to further investigate. - Scripted body events: the Coroners get scripted calls for a dead body that's placed somewhere on the map. (similar to roadworks maybe?) If the coroner documents the scene, time of day, or succesfully determines a cause of death for the body they get a higher payout. This gives the job a little more challenge than simply driving from point A to point B. (maybe by Calling in PD or SD if the coroner suspects foul play, and after LEO's did their part the coroner could deliver the body to a corresponding dropoff point for further autopsy) Let me know what you think, I've tried the Coroner's job a bit now and I generally enjoyed it, I just felt like there was a lot of potential still left on the table.
